FANTASTIC reaction! I've always loved this song (and Aerosmith in general). Dan, however, does exactly as you said, with everything he sings. It's actually quite phenomenal how he can cover (for instance) Elvis Presley and sound so very much like him, and yet still let us know so strongly, that it is also...just Dan. As for it meaning something special to me, it came out when my youngest daughter (the happily-married Mom of eight in this household, now) had just turned 13 when this song was released, back in 1998. We knew we'd never have any more children (we have six...four were mine, one was David's, and we added our Judi to the mix in 1985), and as she was growing up to be the very strong wife and mom, as well as learning to use HER lovely singing voice to full effect, I did NOT want to miss a single thing of her journey through life. I still feel the same way, now, as we are blessed to see her own children grow and prosper as wonderful, kind, loving people, who have a TON of fun, as well (and they all sing, too). 😀 I've never, EVER wanted to miss anything, Life is so full of GREAT experiences, and though there have been a few things that I wished, LATER, throughout my life that I would have left out, in retrospect, I don't regret going THROUGH those things, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have learned some very hard lessons, that have stood me in good stead ever since. So there you go. Thanks again, for the wonderful reaction to one of my favorite wonderful songs, sung by the wonderful Dan Vasc. Made my day!
