that's a good key quote & reminder by Lutzer - EVIL will not QUIT or STOP, until it's Confronted ... just like a bully, if he thinks he can punch you without retaliation he will, but we must overcome cowardice, and like a football player or Mike Tyson - change their plans with a good reminder of what the other side has forgot, God is greater, and a good spiritual sock in the mouth, will bloody the nose of the enemy, and prayer will back him up. Be as relentless as the otherside, or as Mr. T once said, be more man than them.

if you take the salt out of the world, what is left? if you take the light out, it becomes darker, if one says they are a brother but tolerates such a lifestyle that is the worthless one to ignore, or later rebuke and restore for having so far south - seared without conviction if we don't get out in to the world, who will? Pastors equip us, but we are to be the ones carrying the light, the sword, the message of hope.
Darryl said it better than I've heard anyone else say it - Presence is not affirmation Just because he would go (and that takes courage to offer hope) - doesn't mean, he is putting the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval on this get together He is right, it will never be a marriage blessed of God, what is unholy - remains to be an abomination, yet he does not leave them without the hope, or a chance of hearing the gospel from the church - which has been too silent on such issues for over 70 yrs now if not more if they don't hear the gospel, how will they ever reflect? if they never hear, and think all is well (as we leave them alone) they see no need to repent, (and are on the Titanic to hell - no thanks to us) It is only an awkward moment in this inverted culture, because we have slipped so far down, as to normalize or look the other way with an inocculus effect it is that holier than thou approach (gotta stay away - so I don't get stained) that turns them and allows them to be as they are Darryl offers a GRACE here from God, that is rarely shown these days for who knows, if even one person repents in and to the mercy of God would that not have been worth it?
It is interesting how non-religious companies have become actively practicing three pagan religions - Sexual Identity Faith religion and Pride Faith religion and Woke Faith religion in that all persons working at these companies are expected to be actively practicing, believing members of these three religions.
Presence at a gay wedding IS seen as affirmation no matter your context of going. No one goes to a celebration of a wedding to do evangelism. Are you going to be in pictures? Are you going to be eating cake? Are you going to be dancing? You wouldn't be standing there like John the Baptist pleading with them to repent at this wedding.
