damn. Eddie sounds so great and looks so happy here. The one great thing about the reunion with DLR, hearing them play classic tunes like this! Eddie sounds about as good as ever.
Love this. And at the same time it makes me sad I never witnessed Dave and Ed share the stage. Saw both of them 2 times, Ed with either of the wrong VH vocalist and Dave with inferior guitarists (ain`t talkin bout Vai to be precise). But maybe it`s best left for imagination anyway cause I was much too young to see the great original VH live in 1978-1984.

Dave really has nothing going for him these days where a live performance goes. I still prefer his vocals on record over anyone else. It's easy to fake things and clean it up in studio. He'll always be the voice for Van Halen, as much as I like Sammy (who, let's face it, is a better vocalist in general). The thing about Dave's vocals is that it accompanies Ed's guitar. Whereas, with other singers, the guitar accompanies the vocalist.

Seen VH live in 82 and 84. DLR sang great. He didn't sound anything like this. Both shows were incredible.
