Dude said its hot but got on a hoodie only in Cali
I know it’s over 100 something where he’s at lol
I'm from SoCal, and you can't even imagine how many youngsters out here like that!!! 🤣🤷
Personally i just think thats so lame …hot weather wearing hoodie but got shorts on 😂😂
I'm from Texas and when I moved to the west coast why you young dudes wear a Hoodie and a beanie in hot weather I mean 100 degree hot wow
Haha I live in the valley it be 110 youngster be waking with a black hoodie and a water bottle
The Honda life
Roadkilltime
Bunch of Goofyz with style 🤣😂
I'd say the car over heated after the belt came off and quit spinning the water pump, not due to not letting the car warm up long enough before driving
I'm burning up here in Florida and this dude is wearing a hoodie in late August.
Humidity plays a big part also. Dry heat is different. I’m guessing it somewhat cooler to keep your skin covered in the sun versus sitting in a sauna outside. I’m from Louisiana so humidity heat is bad. We still get some younger people wearing hoodies in the open though. I’m guessing it’s drugs keeping them cool….
Just get a heads up about AAA towing $120 for premium membership 4 towing first towing 200miles and the other 3 is 100miles each…. you’ll never regret it spending $120
Man, that alternator bracket has left a few people stranded. I don't know if they mention it in their instructions, but blue thread lock on those mounting bolts seems to be the key.
Not really brand specific, but this setup has led to disaster for hundreds of people going back over 10 years. This is why I refuse to run a kit.
Fast, cheap, reliable.
Pic 2 forget the 3rd.
Static needs to invest in a daily, can’t be driving around project cars that far.
Having the hood delivered might have been cheaper. Time to invest into a truck and trailer to tow your car to shows and not risking it by driving it.
this is why i have AAA. lol
You need to invest into AAA
Just shitty construction the 5 is in horrible shape. You have to stay on the left side to get the smoothest path and ktuned just being ktuned. Plus a hood doesn't fit in a crx. You would of had a horrible drive back if you made it.
sell some of the spare stuff you have and get a used truck and trailer for your ride man...that shit will pay off itself quick...
What cause your car to over heat was that damn alternator belt , also runs water pump, I ran into that stupid issue every time. Damn ktunned kit.
The car was starting to overheat because the serpentine belt also drives the waterpump. No belt=No waterpump
The timing belt turns the water pump not the alternator belt
@@aaronconroy9840 There is no timing belt on a K series.
@@aaronconroy9840 This isn't a B-series.
@@aaronconroy9840 😬 uhhh nah
yeah man JB weld and flex tape won't fix a busted oil pan. maybe use some blue locktite on the bolts that fell out.
My crank pulley hole was worn out, it was wobbling. Still made it from Denver to cali and back again lol
Junkyard parts just not worth the problem. Sometimes you need new parts. Took my civic fresh oil change new rotors and brakes on a 12 hour trip and back no problem.
It's a mix. Some junkyard parts are easily rebuilt back to OEM or better, some not. New parts are having quality control issues these days as well, so there is no surefire way to avoid all issues.
@@tetrabromobisphenol going through all the hassle buying junkyard having rebuilt just not worth the time when you can juat pick it up brand new. I never had any problems with brand new parts, maybe some had.
@@abcd12324051 brand new oem honda, never heard of issues. Brand new autozone or orilley, stay the hell away. And just because its from the junkyard, does not mean its bad. Ive had used tensioners and other items with 150k plus miles last longer than brand new orilley shit. Hell ive seen orilley clutches die in less than 50 miles, replaced with a used exedy and lasted over 100k miles.
@@AcuraLvR82 i got a sensor from oriley once and it was junk, had to trade it in and finally it worked. For sure bro. I do get parts from junk too. Mosty electrical stuff. I know what you mean, when you traveling far you alway wanna make sure the parts in your car is good 😁
Damn no auto part shop? Need to carry a magnetic drain plug in your tool kit
Most people would be mad, and upset, but you take it in stride and just shake it off. Way to go.
Its less to do with ktuned and more to do with the fact those relocating kits are all disasters waiting to happen right out the box, no matter what the brand. There is too much stress put on the alternator with not enough anchoring in that location in the kit, and the tensioner provides no dampening of vibrations that occur in the belt system. Both those factor together are why EVERYONE who runs those kits has the exact same problem. And the car overheated and killed the battery because it threw the belt which drives the water pump and yes the alternator.
That’s the quality of the builds you do
I remember driving my 1995 gsr B18C1 engine swapped hatchback to from the bay to Vegas with overheating problems driving near H or in red all that 8hrs early afternoon to 8ish but driving 100 mph back in 1996. I took a dumb chance motor only had 35K mikes but i was young dumb not thinking about warped head or blowing a head gasket as long i can keep or above 100 mph the was running strong but below the red i took the chance anyways lol. Car made it to VEGAS AND BACK HOME TO THE BAY driving evening time much cooler air this time find out was a 35 dollar part coolant temperature sensor. Back then who would know that thing was defective which low miles. Still got that motor and still runs strong 300K miles later and has never let me down! What was I thinking!
Unfortunate... time to go stock d16a6... :)
Dana stock? I doubt it haha
@@sbeezy562 I was being sarcastic...
A Hoodie and a Beanie on lol, Krx said hell na take me back home too damn hot bro
Hard luck 🍀 Dana dam !!! Next time mate !!! 😜👍🇦🇺
Can't believe I miss this one. Travelled back in time and found a crazy road trip. Nice seeing the old hedge in flower
Shiii-teeee-day bro. I've had one too. On the way to Import Alliance. Pushed the car. Wasn't ready. Should've left it. Paid the price. Lesson learned
Two things:
Fuck that Sonic's in Gilroy, they make you wait 40 minutes then give you shitty ass food.
and two, do you have an AAA card? It's $120 a year for 400 miles of tow split between one tow per day 3 times, so one 200 mile and two 100 mile tows. That saved my ass when I broke down on the Grapevine from low oil which was my bad, but I was able to get home with my car.
You need a daily cb7 brother ;)
Ok ...if you're going to so-cal .. anything you need go to long Beach .. plenty of junkyards and tons of hole in the wall shops...oh and a million Cambodians...lol
Any1 from cali knows if you live in central California trip to LA is the true test to your car. Took my HSA McDowell mobile really sorry but no and if you want the bed wasn’t too bad but they see end of the season two and I got stranded and had to use a U-Haul and $600 to get back to Northern California
Having it break just gives it a chance to come back harder. Glad you made back home safe man
What's the answer to the KTuned tensioner? Who makes a better part?
Damn that sucks! Quality build bro! 🤣🤣🤣 all good shit happens
The exact thing happen to me on the 5 south coming from Stockton. Shattered aluminum pan, had to replace it on the side of the freeway.
Dame homie if i woulda known i woulda towed to my house im 15 minutes from lost hills. I had everything for u to repair your car.
Hey you trying to buy another CRX?
nothing special but I got a 91 DX.
I unfortunately have to sell before I move in a month or so.
Dam bro that sucks. you problem start with the alternator belt, the reason is not cause you didnt let the car warm up that that one belt run aslo on the water pump pully causing that over heat , without the belt the water pump could not circulate the antifreeze in the block. simply
That’s crazy same thing happened to me when I was driving to Florida
Sometimes u just gota live to fight another day. Ull be back up and running in no time
Aawwww I knew it !!! You where going to the old school Honda meet I was hoping to see you there !!!! Aslong as everyone is safe and the car isn’t that bad should be an easy fix
Why is it always breaking down? Smh 🤦♂️
Words of wisdom - 11:18 “small setback 4 a MAJOR comeback” -YoungStatic 2022
Where u get the bumper turn signals? My 89 crx silver also
You cant have a race car/daily / 700mile trip car lol....glad you made it bacc safe..
Glad y’all made it back! I saw your IG live when it went down.
After moving to poly mounts in my Prelude, I found blue threadlock won’t cut it and went straight to the red stuff. Haven’t had anything too important fly off since then
Hey brotha more than glade to help a hood brotha out and I’m here if u ever need another tow or transport
If you didn’t have bad luck you wouldn’t have any luck at all
At least it looked sick on the side of the road. 🤣
Hybrid Racing just came up with a solution for that serpentine belt
Damn bro, I hate when that happens. It happened to me in the winter out in NW Indiana 2 years ago. The oil pan was gone and somehow broke the cam gear. Best of luck fixing everything brother, I know you got this Vato.
Sometimes you just got to pay for shipping and bite the bullet 🚚 Break downs suck but give important life lessons and memories that last forever.💯
Bro I thought youre from like orange county or some shit 🤣
Get new parts bro can’t go cheap on important stuff
90 degrees with a hoodie and beanie on. Says it’s hot 😂
That’s crazy. Only Honda would do that
that outro song makes my day son. everytime
Man I live like 20 mins away from lost hills
What kind of wheels do you have?
Sorry to see this happened, good thing you got friends that can help out of the jam.
went you put the engine in the car you should tight all the bolt in torque specification and used loctite in some bolt so you should not have any problems with the car
loctite and tighter bolts will not fix the issue. Issue resides in relocating the alternator to that area puts tremendous stress on it. And the manual belt tensioner cannot absorb vibrations. That is why they ALL break.
Damn. Can't wait to see what up with this videos ahahaha
I waited for triple AAA for 4 hrs 4 miles away same city 😅
Good thing it didn’t happen on the grapevine.
I prefer b 16 - b18 engine motor
it's the middle of the summer i got a hoodie on
Time to sell it, hit me up!
Damn man that sucks; glad you made it out
i cant believe people still use that style ktuned bracket with all the issues they appear to have
hundreds and hundreds of people have had this issue I found out when researching my own k swap. Personally I just use rsx pulleys and accessories and use a non-ac belt, rather than dealing with that garbage.
im dong a z3 swap in an EK and im thankful that it has the setup it has on it, so much easy when the stuff is OEM.
I have 2 daily vehicle and two tuned vehicle…I wouldn’t take that risk , like Paul Walker said “No tuning issue!” regarding the blue Porsche in FF4.
Our roads here in the UK suck arse, either potholes, sunken drains, speed bumps, high parts where its bodge repairs. Smashed oil pans, broken shock springs yearly, bolts backing out. Remedy to some issues, Lock wire the main bolts, build a skid bar/plate over the sump, drive slow as a learner 😂
That’s crazy bro
At least you didn't Click Bait. Like most vloggers. I am glad y'all go home safely!
Like what you have done with the REX Wish you best of luck bro !! Just a heads up Do not leave your car in Bakersfield !!
I went to pick in pull last Saturday in my hf and threw a cel 1 hour into my trip pulled over check ecu and it cleared ended up going to find the car i wanted totally picked and on way home dropped a cylinder about an hour home 😭
Breaking down in the middle of nowhere is the worst. I had that happened a few times with hours of wait cause tow people cancelled without telling us.
My 1st instinct... expect the unexpected, I just made a trip to a section of Texas near Waco and picked up a car lost a rear tire and rim on it and just happened to use the baby spare to finish the trip. Glad you had the hook up to get home!! God bless
Let's goo!!! If you ever in Ontario or riverside area lmk if u need help also can use my house to work on your car for a quick fix!
I wondered why I didn’t see you at the oldskool meet. Now we know lol. Happy to see you made it home safe
YouCanDoIt!!!
Ah good memories of my Honda days when I also broke down on the five going north and seeing the pool of oil under the car...
Bro did you ever work at a dealership? What made you start working from home?
More Jose
Damnn
Man that sucks bro.. big come back coming KRX
You need AAA man lol
Yo Dana got a project see if your trying to get some work in?
nope nope, i take that back Dana you werent being dumb, you did what any auto tech would do, come up with a temporary fix and then do a permanent fix when you back at the shop. These things happen, probably why ppl with older cars have the entire spare parts and tools in the back for sh!@t bound to happen. Fix it and lets do the trip all over again call it Part 2. 🙏🙏
I want to give my similar episode on this 😂😂i use to have a nissan sentra with a SR20, dam car was so low i hit the oil pan regular same shit, leak oil and had to use epoxy for temporary fix. got so ved up i starting driving with two spare oil pan. Sh!@t one day i said enough is enough tired to be checking oil pan, i just lift the car back up forget about driving tooooo low get my drift. low but not extremely low. Just my two cent on this been there done that.
Nice time if it is just a pin size hole u can run a self tapper screw in it.
Tough luck sometimes when you have cool cars...
Well dang. Could've been worst
You got my kinda luck with cars my timing belt snapped on my son's bday and i cant bust the crankshaft bolt loose to try and fix it
Use the keyway tool to hold the crank down. Torch the bolt with propane, and use a 19mm lug wrench with a long pipe to break it loose. Replace the bolt afterwards as the heat will kill its hardening
“Typical k-tuned stuff”…no way it’s user error 😂
everyone who runs this design of kit, no matter the brand, all have the same thing happen.
😎
Damn the homie was packed up too.
I just busted my oil pan last week I got a 1/4 plate and welded on to it hope it helps me so I'm going to lift it a bit while I'm at it
im considering the same with my dc/k24. I want to take road trips and slamming the oil pan is one of my main concerns.
Would have been dope to see you man!
