- This B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) dive coaster opened in 2005 and was the first of its kind in the USA thanks to the popularity of Oblivion at Alton Towers in the UK, which opened seven years earlier. It was converted to a floorless coaster in 2007, following the opening of its sister Dive Coaster Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg that year.
Did you know that the coaster was planned to be 160 feet tall, but the park's executives rejected this and the height was changed to 200 feet?

The anxiety I felt waiting in line for this ride was unreal.

I always get anxiety before rides. I'm going to Busch gardens in 2 weeks and I'm kinda scared now because of this ride

@@ynaa22 that's how it is. I get bad anxiety before but then when I'm on the ride, I still have it. When I go down the drop, I dont have it anymore and it's really fun!
I love that they stop you at the very top to make you think what you’ve just done

This was my first ever “big” rollercoaster I’ve ever ridden and my father decided to sit in the front row ;-; needless to say I started screaming as soon as the gates open..
it was my first big rollercoaster too , but my dad didn’t go on it with me ,, and I was in the safest spot in my opinion (middle row, middle seat)

Nobody here talks about how the back cars have funnels attached to the sides that scoop into the water at 2:20 and swamps the passersby outside, for anyone possibly wondering why the track is running level with the water there.

TBH the term "floater" always reminded me of turds in a toilet bowl X-D is there no alternative name for it we can spread amongst the community?
The first time I went on this ride, I flipped out and got I'll after it was done, and I couldn't go on any other rides.
Now, I can't get enough of this ride. It's the best.
This ride is insane, and with the current situation we are in the park is soo empty. I was able to finish this ride and then go right back up to the top with no wait. Needless to say this ride is insane and one of my favorites. 90 degree downward drop btw
The first dive coaster I've ridden. Now I'm hooked. Can't wait to try the Yukon Striker!
until the drop this looks exactly like yukon striker wtf... also canadas wonderland is right next to my house and ive ridden yukon and its not very fun
I was there during the first week it came out. No smart phone cameras at the time. I had no idea what to expect as a 13 year old. The view of the landscape near twilight at the top of the coaster was serene. Then, DROP.
back row is just as scary. i went on it for the first time with my mom and her friend and we were like “back row probably isn’t that bad” so we went on it and it was horrifying. like, with the front row, the scary part is the dangling. for the back row, it’s going UP. it’s scary and it makes you feel like the cart is gonna detach and that you’re gonna die. i love it AND i hate it
Man, why did I go to this park BEFORE this ride was even built?
I went just weeks before they converted the trains to floorless. Then again the coaster probably closed for a while as they converted the station so I got lucky in a sense. Gwazi was closed and somehow I missed Montu

This was my first big roller coaster, my brother and cousins made me get on and I was nervous af, but when it was over I rode everything in the park and loved coasters ever since

when i was waiting in line to ride this some kid puked on like 5 seats cuz it flew back onto other people and took like 30 minutes to clean. We waited and still rode it. The wait was so worth it.

I miss this roller coaster 😭 I saw another video of this ride before going to Busch Gardens and I thought it was cool. When I figured out it was in Busch Gardens, I was sooo excited because my family and I were going to go there to celebrate that I took my casts off (I had two). I saw that Shiekra was there, and I’m like “That ride... should I go?” I did and it was fantastic!!! I got to see everything the video showed! Plus, since you don’t feel anything when you are watching a video, I experienced the intensity and anxiety of this ride!!
If you ever have chance to go here and enjoy this ride I found sitting on the end seats (either end) made it a little more exciting. On the very first drop you are away from the rail and there's absolutely nothing below your feet while it holds you there before releasing and letting gravity do its works. Absolutely amazing experience. Remember it for life!
Hey I was there yesterday! Got stuck on cheetah hunt . Cheetah hunt was down 4 times yesterday. Tigris 5 times. Sheikra 1. Phoenix all day. Kumba down once. Crazy
Not surprised. Intamin AG sucks at manufacturing "launch coasters." Waited in line for 45 mins once for King Da Ka, at six flags great adventure, only to have them shut it down due to a "mechanical issue" with the launch system.
Phoenix has been shutdown and not able to run for like 3 years now and now theres not even an entrance i think
I’ve never seen cheetah hunt shut down, so this is kinda interesting to me. The only time was when it started raining once. Other than that, I’d have to say Falcon’s Fury has had the most shut downs whenever I went.

Rode it three times in a row, twice in the front. Literally the most fun I've ever had
My adrenaline was rushing like crazy after I got off this ride I literally trembled after I got off and my right thigh hurt a lot oof I had fun
THIS is the rollercoaster I went on to conquer my fears of any kind of ride and it worked, abouslety worth it coming across the pond from the UK to go to this theme park

Hello, thanks for sharing this video. I like watching POV rides on UA-cam. I just subscribed. Earlier this summer, my family and i had a vacation and went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, which is where we have regularly gone too. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is also a great amusement park. I rode on the Griffon, and it’s also a great roller coaster. I would love to go to Busch Gardens Tampa some day. 😃
Also, I watched this video twice bc, I was watching this during a thunderstorm, and the storm took out the power for a few seconds. Hehe 😜
11 major parks an counting. Rode this day 3 of operation. Only coaster to ever loose my voice on the drop. Amazing ride and Busch Gardens nows how to build scenery in a park.

Amazing coaster
I remember riding this when I was 11 and I was so scared at first, I had so much anxiety. We had a VIP pass to get their first and I was telling my mom, mom please “can we wait in the line!”But I’m telling you it was amazing! Really it was!!

Do y'all have any advice on the fear of the ride up before the drop? I'm trying to rewire my brain that it's ok to feel anxiety to this degree. I have aready rode everything else besides iron gwazi and sheikra.
I’ve never rode this coaster however I’ve been on rides that have steeper drops then this. The best thing I can recommend is that the steep drops are never as bad as it seems. It’s over in a matter of seconds and it’s never as forceful as it looks.

Funny enough, this was my first coaster. it set the bar a little too high for the rest of the rides
_Hella nervous but also pretty excited while in line. I went on with my 2 friends who were probably terrified. The drop and the middle of the ride scared me the most tbh. I felt an instant regret but I wanted to do it again lmao_

I definitely underestimated the steepness of the climb and how long it takes for the first drop to go. One of the only times riding a coaster where i felt some sort of regret lol!
I went to Busch Gardens when I was young and was too scared to get on roller coasters. Now after going back to Florida and doing Disney/Universal again and finally trying them, I wish we could've gone back to Busch. I would so love to try this coaster.

Sheikra is the scariest rollercoaster at Busch gardens when I went on it with my uncle when we dropped down I felt like I was gonna fall out of my seat
i hate big drops but the rest seems easy and fun. from 1 to 5, 5 being very intense, how bad is the drop? what's your best advice to calm down your anxiety when you climbing up a big roller coaster? and before the big drop, what's your best advice to somewhat enjoy big drops?

Is it scary? Yes! Is it intense? A little, but that's the point. However, it's only 3 seconds of a scare, the rest is extremely tame.
I say ride it 10/10 and I'm someone that's scared of coasters, but this was worth it. Then you can brag that you rode it!
I rode this when I was like 8 or 9 years old, piece of cake.
