Asylum for it's classics, City for it's story, Origins for it's boss fights and Knight for it's graphics...All of them r pretty fantastic in their own way...
City for its story? One of the worst and most pointless stories in all of gaming. I'm beyond tired of people heaping so much undeserved praise on the most relatively disappointing video game sequel since God of War 2.
It expanded the core gameplay from AA well in most ways. However, the implementation of armored enemies in combat and predator was a goofy and artificial way to try to make players use automatic/loud takedowns. The titans of Arkham Asylum were simple yet viscerally satisfying enemies to fight. But in AC you just perma-stun them and mash square while Batman's head and shoulders embarrassingly clip into him. Not all proper boss fights were winners, either. Grundy was a pseudo boss fight puzzle reminiscent of the lamest parts of God of War 2, and the actual one-on-one part of the fight with Ra's was a wholly inferior version of the battle with Poison Ivy in AA. By far the shortest campaign of the four main games. Everything involving Catwoman was mediocre at best and came in strange intervals.
But that absolutely horrendous story is what cripples it. The writing is like sub-par fan-fiction (if I ever read fan-fiction). Overtly nonsensical plot holes, laughably contrived events and cringe-inducingly juvenile dialogue throughout. This is the norm, not the exception. It's thematically bankrupt as it pretends to be epic and profound with (admittedly) stirring music. Look, every Arkham game has some contrivances, but they're nowhere near as bad nor as widespread as in AC. Just about every aspect of the main story can be meticulously pulled apart. It's not in any way comparable to Dini's fantastic contributions to Batman: The Animated Series and its feature films. This is not the Mask of the Phantasm of gaming. I have to say that some of the side missions like Zsasz's phone calls were actually much, much better written.
Some of the major plot twists were embarrassingly self-spoiled. We could see that there was a healthy-looking Joker that gassed Batman, the real Joker coughing as he's filming Clayface Joker, and we could see Clayface Joker facing the mirror and seeing the sick Joker. I don't know how any person could be surprised by the end reveal (attempted one, anyway).
I will say that the challenge mode would've been easily the best of the series, but the absolutely scummy practice of carving out DLC character and challenge maps that could've been on the disc on day one, then selling them back to gamers. Each of the four main Arkham games are guilty of this to some degree, but City is absolutely the worst offender.
To top it all off, we had to stare at a purple-caped Batman for the entire game the first time through (there is a cheat code to use alternate skins, but that wasn't known until months after the game released).
As a game, I definitely prefer Arkham City over Arkham Origins. But the Arkham City I played is nowhere near deserving the praise it gets. I honestly thought I had a spoof copy of the game after the first time I played it.
@@Great_Scott_ u colourblind dumbass
@@Great_Scott_ the first dumb and the last dumb I have encountered
La Follette Republican I’m sorry but how is God Of War 2 and Batman: Arkham City disappointing it’s what a sequel should be improves on gameplay while still feeling familiar enough to the first game, makes gameplay and graphics smoother, and expands on the first games plot (City expands on Asylum by showing what happened to The Joker after Titan Toxin) it’s everything a sequel should be. You can have your own opinions and some people will not agree on me that City and GOW 2 are what sequels should be and I’m fine with that and respect their opinion but don’t talk like we’re worst than you for liking City.
What about batman begins from the ps2 era? That was a Great game!
IKR
I think Batman Begins should of made the cut personally.
That's what I was thinking. How Return of the Joker and Vengeance made the list but not Begins puzzles me. I'm glad they remembered The Adventures of Batman and Robin for SNES at least, always loved that game.
John F. Uhh...no.
Winston Poptart Not really sure what you're trying to deny here.
I have to agree. Rush movie game, but it wasn't bad. It was also the first Batman game that used fear in a fight. It was a nice change to plan takedowns in an encounter instead of just running in.
Yes...it's should have been#3 imo and origins #4.
I feel Arkham Origins is underrated.
GhastlyCloud 775 Amen
Atila De Panonia Let us pray... that no one actually thinks that. I hate to see a bunch of LIARS!
El Oh El
Well, actually to me arkham city felt weird, I mean it's not that I didn't like it, it's just that to me it wasn't as amazing as everyone says it is. Now, arkham origins on the other hand had an amazing story, bigger map, awesome boss fights, epic joker moments/ quotes, and probably my favorite feature the shock gloves. So please realize that everyone has their own opinion, and no I'm not lying to myself.
But I will admit it can lag out and glitch.
ELECTRICFROST I TOTALY AGREE, especially with the epic Joker moments and quotes. Arkham City is a good game and I like it, but Origins started it all for me and sparked my love for the Joker, (Who Troy Baker played AMAZINGLY) and for the whole Batman Universe. The story was just so much better.
Where is batman begins!!!!I freaking love that game,it was my childhood.Surprised it wasn't there
Where would you put it?
I think number 5 or 6 and 4 would be lego batman 2
Same here,i think i would have given it a 5
+aryan verma I forgot all about that game! Was just waiting to see the Arkham games in the top 3 lol good call though, loved playing that game. Wonder if there's a Let's Play on here somewhere
There must be
Origins would have been better if Montreal kept their word and kept Black Mask as the main villain. He is a criminally (no pun intended) underrated foe of Batman.
Mr. Fedora Origins meant to happen before Asylum and in the beginning of Asylum we see Batman sending Joker to his jail and surely it means that Origins would have had Joker as the main villain
Kelvi Bulku It happens a number of years before asylum, it doesnt happen directly before asylum
In the end of Origins, it shows the beginning of Asylum, doesn't it? Where you take Joker in the Asylum with many cops around
Kelvi Bulku No, at the end of origins it shows the joker being incarcerated, but that was the first meeting of batman and joker. Asylum is set around 5-10 years later and begins the story ark of the jokers death
Should've just been called batman origins or maybe batman year 3 or something
Whoever didn't see the top 3 coming was as blind as..... well you get the pun
A rat?
a jackal
A cat.
daredevil?
Bat
There's just something special about Arkham Asylum that makes it my favorite Batman game. Maybe it was that I could go everywhere on the island, in every building etc. And maybe its as simple as it was my first Arkham game.
However, Arkham City was also special I could actually feel like I was Batman and Catwoman whether I was gliding like a bat out of hell or jumping up buildings like a cat burglar ;) It was an amazing experience.
But honestly Arkham Knight the game I actually camped outside for at Gamestop from 4 pm until 12:00. It felt amazing at first, but honestly I felt like the batmobile was overused in Knight. Don't get me wrong I love Arkham Knight. Maybe it had something to do with the size of Gotham and Rocksteady added it to explore Gotham a lot faster. I found myself ditching the batmobile and just started gliding around like I did in City. The Arkham series is still my favorite gaming series ever (Which was Gears before that until Retribution came out yuck)
So personally I grade it :
1)Arkham Asylum
2)Arkham Knight
3)Arkham City
4)Arkham Origins
How Batman: Begins (xbox, ps2) is not on here I have no idea!
The Mr. Feeze fight is gonna go down in history as the best boss battle EVER!
I totally agree about Arkham Origins. Most people think it is terrible, but it was never meant to be as good as Asylum and City. Rocksteady only had Warner Bros. Montreal make it because they didn't want fans to wait 4 years between Arkham City and Arkham Knight. However, hopefully Arkham Knight will be as good as all of the Arkham games put together.
I actually thought origins had a better story then city. But I still prefer city.
***** I thought Origin's story was badass!
luke andruzzi Arkham origins for me was an improved version of city. It did not innovate very much but the map was better the story was more touching the whole way through not onlly at the end and the addition of batcave for you to visit whenever you want was awesome an wanted!!! Also the boss battles were much better and the voice actors did a great job especially troy baker. He sounded just like a younger mark hamil. Roger craig smith did a great job with a younger angrier batman and the whole game was I think a refined arkham city
I guess either you didn't notice this, or it didn't really matter to you, but Origins just didn't have that same 'feel' as Rocksteady's Arkham (Probably due to the fact that Batman Arkham was indeed Rocksteady's baby after all...), the combat was not as smooth, some animations were a bit off (like Batman jumping onto a gargoyle - not grappling, but walking/leaping onto, felt tlike the middle part of the animation was cut, in reality it was just absent :P), minor nitpicks not taking away from the game, but the GLITCHES, oh boy, thank God for patches. If they took a little longer developing the game it would've been even better. Too many hates on the game though, is what I think I will end my statement with. Have a nice day, and an Arkham Knight. ;)
luke andruzzi SPOILER ALERT!!! It's better than all of them combined.... Well in my opinion.
man nothing can beat the arkham games
1. Batman Arkham Knight
2. Batman Arkham City
3. Batman Arkham Asylum
4. Batman Arkham Origins
+AFROman 334 i know
People tend to underrate Batman Begins. Before the Arkham series, Begins was as close as you get to be the Batman in a dark and greedy game. The batmobil stage in that game was better than the batmobil in Arkham Knight.
Ikr I loved that game on my ps2 it was the best. I'm surprised it wasn't on the list
isaac martinez
People think just because it was a Movie Game it must be crap. But it was awesome!
Wow i forgot all about The batman begins game it should have definitely been on this list.
Fucking Slayer Batman Vengeance was fun because the only 3D animated series game we had. But yeah, not a good game.
Begins definitely influenced Arkham series. The whole stealth knockdown especially from above was introduced in that game.
XVSting yeah begins was awesome, rise of sin tzu was also great from what i remember
This list makes totally sense. Although there have been older Batman Games who are really good, the Arkham games are one hell of a franchise. I Cannot wait to play Arkham Knight and I hope this game will be the new king!!!
my favourite batman games
Nr 1. Arkham Origins
Nr.2. Arkham Knight
Nr.3. Arkham City
Nr.4. Arkham Asylum
dont played the others
+milen alexov mine is.
nr 4:arkham knight ( had a really bad port).
nr 3:arkham origin.
nr 2:arkham origin.
nr 1:arkham city ( because it feels like you are unstopable and badass and felt like the best one with the story open world and stuff.
who else checked the description for the day this video was uploaded because no.1 wasn't arkham knight.....
Arkham knight would have been number 2
+PhireBall tbh Arkham Knight wasn't that bad for me although the map was kinda small
+Jeremy Ryder it only seemed small because you were able to glide so high and travel much faster compared to presvious games
I did that before it started too see before I get my hopes up
Arkham Knight shouldn't be Number 1 anyway. City is the best Arkham game.
Oh come on. Arkham origins wasnt that bad
It was terrible m8
HMA Gaming Not at all. I fucking loved the game. Idk whats wrong with it
Story, plot holes, final boss fight, and it's way too way
Easy*
HMA Gaming I thought the story was great. The gameplay was great, IDK it's my opinion
I like how in the old times any game could be about anyone, a few pallete swaps and you could turn a Punisher game into a Batman or Spiderman game, no problem at all.
What we take away from this list is...
There's only 5 good Batman games.
thedredmanable: The first NES game wasn't that bad. And it has one of the best NES soundtracks.
Agreed
thedredmanable five likes lol
thedredmanable There are*
Love your picture thedredmanable
How is batman begins on ps2 not on this?!
same aplies to Batman Returns for Sega Genesis.
StrikeEntertainment | Gaming Channel awesome
Let's see if Arkham Knight blows Arkham City away come 2015.
A FUCKING Vehicle doesn't make a game great. Clam your tits, Junior.
I think it will!
I have high hopes for Arkham Knight!
The gliding is awesome you can use gadgets and go very fast
No
***** Never played it so you can't say that.
Best 4 Batman Games of today:
1.Arkham Knight
2.Arkham City
3.Arkham Asylum
4.Arkham Origins
Played them all and all are great, just none of them is a brilliant and gorgeous as Knight, so dont even start hating, people always hate when a new better game comes out, look back when gta 5 was released, people hated it and said gta 4 was better(how stupid!!O.o lol) same goes for City and Knight
Fear not, I actually agree with you 😄
no
I didn't like Arkham Knight all that much, Had a lot more fun with Arkham City. And graphics don't make a game.
arkham city >arkham knight
Well you can like City better, Knight is just the much better game,i had tons more fun with it
The Batman Begins game that came out 1 day before the movie was awesome I have it on PS2 and Xbox. It was definitely what inspired Arkham games. You can actually jump in it too and drive the tumbler.
I'm glad The Dark Knight game didn't come out, because then we wouldn't have Arkham, but I still would have wanted it. The story would have been a lot different, but I can see it working. You play as Batman a lot, Joker, and Gordon. It changes in some parts. The first Joker scene where he robs the bank would be really awesome because of the guy with the shotgun and then maybe police arrive to make it better. The chase with Batman on his bike would be epic, we can have LA Noire type investigations on some parts with Gordon, Harvey, and Rachel, and the last scene with Batman versus the SWAT would be cool. On the part with Joker and the dogs, maybe there could be goons with him to add more gameplay elements and you have to be sneaky taking them all out. And then Joker and some others can fight you off. I can see it totally working. Many parts would have to be cut, yes, but it can work. Maybe I am being a little too ambitious, but I would really want it.
Tyler Herndon There's just one pothole in your route of description: AMBITION. We'd be lucky enough to get at least ONE playable character (for at least SOME % of the game) aside from playing as Batman - s'cuse me, The Dark Knight;)
Tyler Herndon Also (haha you're gonna laugh at this), I replied to your comment before
unfolding the rest of the text (you/I mentioned the same thing about
ambition). Besides, we're talking 2009 here (2008 filmwise) so it would
PROBABLY have looked something more like the Batman Begins game. I
strongly believe so. Remember this was BEFORE the revolution of Rocksteady and its impact on the gaming industry... Good day and an Arkham Knight.
The !st Winner nice one lol
Tyler Herndon There is the dark knight rises on mobile
XtremeGamer51 I had it. It sucked.
Batman Arkham Origins - 10/10
Batman Arkham City - 10/10
Batman Arkham Knight - 9.5/10
Batman Arkham Asylum - 9/10
This is how it should be for the 4 Arkham Games. Origins all the way!
BAA 10/10 BAC 9.5/10 BAO 8/10 BAK 111111111111111111111111111111/10
Carter Cummings Lol
Arkham Knight isn't even out yet but its the best batman game already.impressive
GhastlyCloud 775 SHUT UP ITS CALLED OPINION
GhastlyCloud 775 Couldn't you at least give Origins an 8? Man, it was still a great game. I mean out of all the 3 previous Arkham games Origins had the better story, it just didn't deliver well. What's more better Batman fighting Joker again and again in Arkham Asylum and City or Batman fighting off assassins and learning to discover his personality and that he is not an island but a man and he needs allies. To me Origins sounds better, it just didn't deliver well. Now I'm stating this as my opinion, not a fact.
Lego Batman: The Videogame!!! Man that game was my childhood. I spent more hours on it than I dare imagine and the trailer for it was my introduction to UA-cam back in 2008. Oh my gosh this takes me back.
So many fond nostalgic memories of playing Batman'89 and Batman Returns as a kid!
Where the hell is Batman:Rise of Sin Tzu
I agree. This game was actual decent. Maybe it didn't make it cause it had a .ain villian who wasn't really in the DC universe
It had co-op which is really fun, and the boss fights are a masterpiece compared to arkham knight
christian baluyot What boss fights? XD
Zach Enox Scarecrow, Clayface, Bane and Sin Tzu.
***** I meant what boss fight in arkham knight XD the inly real boss battle was two face and maybe penguin. Batmobile fight on the other hand
1. Arkham City
2. Arkham Knight
3. Arkham Origins
4. Arkham Asylum
5. Batmna Begins
AlphaMunky lego batman
AlphaMunky i was confused why arkham knight was not on here it beats all of these games
This video came out before arkham knight did
Flavouredsalmon117 In my opinion, Arkham Knight is better than City and Origins. Asylum is the best Arkham game.
Arkham knight number one
I loved Arkham Origins. It had an awesome "Year One" feel.
Nice list gameTrailers!
The first two places were too predictable.
so was the third. rocksteady batman's games are awesome.
wedge's visions 3rd not made by rocksteady
the game is pretty good regardless. it's just not as good as City and Asylum. the action and the boss fights are great as always.
Predictable. But not exactly wrong.
They are predictable for a reason. They are hands down the best batman games out there (of course arkham knight hadnt come out at the time of this video).
Playing Arkham City right now but I prefer Asylum, it feels more like the the animated series
Im SOOOOOOOOO Glad Batman: Vengeance Is On This List Because Its Such An Underrated Game
Very great list, you guys nailed it
BATMAN BEGINS WTF THATS 10X better than flipping lego BS
no just no
Lol, LEGO Batman is perfect!
+Joke's On You right memories
Im totally agree with list. It would have been awesome if they included the Adventures of Batman and Robin for the Genesis, an awesome action game that put the console's capacities to the limit.
I'm surprised how well video games have fared for the Batman franchise. Wish I could say the same for Superman.
Great list, but I would have substituted the Genesis Adventures of Batman and Robin for the SNES one. The difficulty and music is nuts.
Where is the Adventures of Batman & Robin on genesis? Srsly, this game was amazing, and also one of the best soundtrack by Jesper Kyd!
The Adventures of Batman & Robin on Sega was a lot better than the SNES version, IMO.
People love to talk about how Arkham Asylum was the first good Batman game. How is that possible when The Adventures of Batman and Robin on SNES was a brilliantly excellent game (and it should have been number 4 on this list). I played that game for hours on end back in the 90's.
Batman Returns (which should have been number 5) was also pretty great, too.
Glad that one of my favorite classic Batman games , Batman:Vengeance, got a nod. Loved it
He forgot Batman: Rise of SinTzu ; that was the game you could play as Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl on coop,on Original Xbox
I played it on ps2 and I still have both the game and the console
1.arkham asylum
2.arkham city
3.arkham origins
4.arkham knight
☝Too much bat tank and paul dini was greatly missed.....
Batman Rise of Sin Tzu should've been on this list
Anyone remember a game called Batman Rise of Sun Tzu? It was surprisingly decent, I'm surprised it wasn't listed.
Can't wait for Lego batman 3
Im soooooooooo excited for lego batman
ProDeedZ You just got it. It's out for PS4, PC and Xbox One, I think.
Arkham Knight is THE premium Batman experience. I have only a few gripes with the game but it is so AWESOME. The whole Arkham series is the best incarnation of Batman i've ever seen and I love that they stuck with so many of the same voice actors as the Animated Series.
LEGO Batman Was The First Batman Game I Remember Playing
But let's be honest, Arkham Knight is now the best Batman game ever, followed closely behind by Arkham City.
+daniel coyle I respect your opinion, but I think a lot of people would be with me for saying Arkham Knight is not the best.
+daniel coyle Actually, Arkham City is better. Of cource Knight has better parts from City but City has the lore. And gameplay wasn'T pushed as hard as Knight.
Ege Altun If Knight had anymore tank battles, I was going to hang my self.
the pc port is total bullcrap
i like both but arkham city was more memorable for me. honestly my favorite thing about knight is being able to look at the ruins of arkham city from wayne tower and reminiscing about the times before my ps3 broke. i dunno, for me arkham knight didnt really have the same mood or feel. not to say it wasnt good
batman arkham city wont be the best batman game ever, not when BATMAN ARKHAM KNIGHT CUMS OUT
U can ride the batmobile omggg
Ride On My Batmobile
Christian Rijos Is that a Bat-Pick-Up-Line?
CUMS OUT??
Cums out?!
origins is my favorite so far because towards the end i felt like i knew batman in a whole new way. like we were friends or something
The choice between what's better Asylum or City is so damn hard because City has a lot of a bigger world and more content, but the story and all that stuff in Asylum was just fucking amazing.
Was hoping they'd show the first ever Batman game, but I guess they're not that knowledgeable about gaming.
+Larry Bundy Jr But if we started making room for games like that, we wouldn't be able to give five of the ten spots to Lego Batman and Batman: Arkham!
I think I saw Avgn play one of the first batman games
And it was ASS
Origins wasn't made by Rocksteady!!! Thats why it came out so quick. They should do their research before throwing the studio under the bus
Batman and Robin from SEGA was awesome too
i heard of rocksteady before the batman games, they made urban chaos on ps2, it was a really well made amurican style action fps. loved it. always wondered when they'd make their next game, and then they made batman.
I honestly thought Arkham City was pretty decent to be honest. I thought Asylum was much better
That's the same thing I said.
True batman fans know that Arkham City is the best batman game of all time.
***** Before Arkham Knight it was.
+Mini Nut Ha. No. The ending sucked and the use of the Batmobile was overrated. Also the dlc is terrible, they last like 11 minutes.
+Red Hood the ending was awesome and the dlc is amazing how about the other dlc? the 1989 pack the bat family? the tumbler dlc?
Ammad Ali The ending was like the writers had an hour left to finish it and they couldn't think of anything else to put. The DLC was short and the Batgirl one messed with continuity.
After seeing the challenge maps yeah I agree with u. What happened to rocksteady D:
Imagine if rocksteady did a Batman TAS game, presented like the TV show like those cell shaded games (thinking telltale appearance style). They could use the best episodes as mission and story arcs in it. That would be the perfect Batman game.
You gotta give Arkham Origins something for having one of the best fights and that was with Deathstroke.
Where is batman begins??? It was a good game on the ps2
+DragONheart27x yeah I gotta agree, as much as I think that Arkham City is better in terms of actually making you feel like Batman the story was mediocre, Asylum on the other hand has a great atmosphere it feels a lot like a comic book world and the story is the best out of the three Arkham games. The one thing I can say about Origins is that the hitting feels better the punches actually feel like they have some weight on them.
Batman Begins should have definently been on this list, such an underrated game for the PS2.
This is the first Top Ten list EVER that I completely agree with.
Batman Return from Sega Genesis is a really good game and did not appeared in this top 10. It is totally unfair!!
Lego games started to suck with Lego Batman. I don't agree with it being on here. As soon as I beat it, any replayability left. And then Lego brought in talking. Big mistake. What made the Lego games so iconic was the hilarious "no-talking" cutscenes.
The first lego batman was brilliant. I agree with you that the games after it kind of lost their charm with the actual voice actors but lego marvel superheroes is a great game and that has voice acting.
jedi koon Let me just say this, when I reached 100%, I still played Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars II for a fair while. When I 100%ed Lego Batman, I stopped almost instantly.
Might have been my age, but I don't think so.
+Rhett Gedies the lego series is like made for younger pepole or kids.
some ones enjoy it but some dont.Cyber shredder loves raven vampire babe forever
Isn't it strange that Perhaps the most iconic movie hero of all time also happens to be the voice behind one of cinema history's most recognizable villains?
Batman on the NES was the first video game I ever played.
1 arkham knight
2 arkham city
3 arkham asylum
4 origins
i spell bad and origins is worst
Batman arkham city best game ever
Batman Vengeance and Batman Begins was my childhood, and then there was Batman Dark Tomorrow, that shit was hard, I remember I got locked in a room and didn't know how to get out.
really, you couldn't replace 10 with at least the rise of sin Tzu game.
That game is one of my favorite games of all time
should have been just 1 entry per game series.. the list's just cheap.. 2 lego games and all of the Arkham games? com on...
Arkham City is one of the most overrated video game sequels ever. Make no mistake, I have fondness for AC. I played the shit out of this game, and it had by far and away the best challenge mode of the series. However, to say this game is the overall best of the Arkham franchise is... questionable to say the least. I can see a rational person believing that if he/she doesn't at all mind the atrocious narrative and some of the gamey and anemic elements put into the otherwise great and refined gameplay. The armored enemies in combat and predator was a goofy and artificial way to try to make players use automatic/loud takedowns. The titans of AA were simple yet viscerally satisfying enemies to fight. But in Arkham City you just perma-stun them and mash square while Batman's head and shoulders embarrassingly clip into him. Not all boss fights were winners, either. Grundy was a pseudo boss fight puzzle reminiscent of the lamest parts of God of War 2, and the actual one on one fight with Ra's was a wholly inferior version of the battle with Poison Ivy in AA. Also, everything involving Catwoman was mediocre at best and came in strange intervals.
But the story... This is why Paul Dini wasn't hired back to pen Rocksteady's third game (or even the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC). The writing is like sub-par fan-fiction (if I ever read fan-fiction). Overtly nonsensical plot holes and laughably contrived events and pretentious dialogue throughout. This is the norm, not the exception. It's thematically bankrupt as it pretends to be epic and profound with (admittedly) stirring music. Look, every Arkham game has some contrivances, but they're nowhere near the level which AC has. City's story is objectively bad. Just about every aspect of the main story can be meticulously pulled apart. It's not in any way comparable to Dini's fantastic contributions to BTAS and its feature films. This is not the Mask of the Phantasm of gaming.
I say this because I am a Batfan. I want to see quality pieces of Batman media succeed and receive the attention and acclaim they deserve. But I also would like to see poor facets of certain Batman media be rightfully derided. It's a bit disheartening how this would even be a controversial opinion.
Let's see.. arkham asylum had great story(it may be better than city) but arkham origins....was shit game there is no possibility to by better of city
I have issues with Origins, but it edges out Asylum's disappointing sequel.
***** how on earth was city disappointing sequel let alone worse then a cash in with story breaking bugs?
I don't have the time, space, or ambition to write a comprehensive 30 paragraph essay.
***** In other words you're just spouting shit then?
I like how the last three on the list were the arkham games, they were so great!
2:33 that song sounds so damn familiar. What is it? It sounds like Castlevania II music but I know it's not based on what I know.
no. 1 arkham knight, 2. city, 3. asylum.
+TheNinjaSpy and thats his opinion...
***** so? It doesn't matter. Its my opinion
+Jacob Molyneux he didn't say anything about opinions it's just it night wasn't released yet
raser abdel I was just stating my opinion. He didn't need to comment. I know it was released a year ago
No. 1 City No. 2 Asylum No.3 Knight No. 4 Origins
Yeah, until Arkham Knight is released. That'll blow every other Batman game away.
GhastlyCloud 775 its his opinion, smart mouth. I see you in the comments harrasing anyone saying Arkham Knight will be a good game. Why do you hate it?
I loved all those games so I don't know what you're complaining about.
I normally don't like to be immature or whatever but...In your face!
GhastlyCloud 775 well uh im playing the game right now ... its ... AWESOME!!
What took you? 😂
Batman 89 on Sega Genesis and Brave and the Bold for the Wii should easily knock off a few games on this list. But hey at least you guys appreciate Origins
Happy 75th Anniversary!
City is overrated, Asylum was much better IMO.
Agreed.
City is overrated. Story was kinda weak and so were the boss battles... they spoiled the entire Mr Freeze battle in a trailer. Big name villains were used as just filler.
What do u mean Arkham City is over rated? It's the best batman game out of all the Arkhams.
HIPSTERRRRR
kinda agree, in terms of atmosphere Arkham Asylum still tops them, but Arkham City has helluva lot more content.
ProDeedZ Not even close. Arkham Asylum is far and away the best Batman game to date.
I freaking loved the Mr Freeze boss battle! So glad I didn't watched the trailer.
The list is missing The Adventures of Batman & Robin on Genesis.
I loved playing #4, 3, 2, and 1.
3:16 : That game was based on Batman (1989) and in that movie, as well as in Batman Returns he did not have the no-kill rule.
is the music for #7 actually in game? if not what song is that? Its so epic
Wow i remember batman vengence as a little kid playing on my ps2 good times
1. Arkham City
2. Arkham Asylum
3. Arkham Knight
4. Arkham Origins
I love all of this games
Good list, I also thought AC < AA < AO
brian sheehan AO < AA < AC
Great list - especially top 5

Now that Arkham Knight has come out, they have to agree that it is and should be the number one on this list. There are so many updates and other amazing BREATHTAKING stuff in the game! The graphics look amazing, the combat is incredible and as flowing as the other Arkham games, the batmobile combat is just spectacular, the story is great, the side missions are fun, the duo story lines where you can play as Batman as well as his allies is an amazing feature, it's just THE BEST of the Arkham games and I really hope everyone can agree!
