@@JasminesKitchenn girl I did!! I keep eating the dough and the cookies itself are even better lol. I love your recipes quick easy and to the point have a great rest of your weekend!❤
I met people that didn't know what snickerdoodles were when I bought some at the store and they thought the syllable "snicker" indicated that they have peanuts or almonds and chocolate because of the candy "Snickers". Not so! In fact, they don't even have the same etymology. My research says that snickerdoodles might have been "a corruption of the German word schneckennudel meaning "snail dumpling" after a sweet bun of German origin that is snail shaped." The Snickers candy was named after the Mars family's favorite horse on an equestrian farm that the Mars family owned.
Wow I didn’t know that! 💕
After cinnamon rolls. They look like a snail shell
Thank you for the recipe love it ❤ made these snickerdoodles for the children for Christmas and they were delicious ❤️

I hope you like them! 💕
Made these and they were some if the best snickerdoodle cookies i have ever had, i didnt put them in the frig at all and there was a bit of a bitter after taste but still amazing. Im going to put them in the frig and see the difference
I’m glad you enjoyed! Yeah allowing the dough to rest improves this recipe a lot! But good either way 🧡🧡🧡
The best part of this video was hearing you talk about the tartar needing to set and "letting the ingredients getting to know each other a little bit", I know for sure to just be patient with it. Cheers Jasmine
Thankyou so much 🥰💜 I hope you enjoy
@@JasminesKitchenn I did! Jasmine they came out perfect, I knew I could trust you!! Everyone is impressed :D
I just made them. They came so good. I could not put the dough in the fridge for 6 hours because my kids couldn’t weight. 😅😅😅. Thanks for sharing this easy and tasty recipe.
Glad you all enjoyed!💜🥰
These are great! Now, add a link for a printed recipe! Easy to do!
these were so good
I’m glad you enjoyed 💕
Mine come out very light and fluffy, staying puffed up. I'll have to look at the recipe to see what's different. The way my snickerdoodles come out, there's zero calories because they're more like light, crumbly air... and we all know air doesn't have calories! Great for the diet!! 😁
Hahaha 😆 I’m glad it worked out for you 💕
If we want them to be bigger like a large icecream scoop how much more do you recomend baking for?
Hi Jasmine ❤️ I'm a new Subscriber and I absolutely Love your channel. Do you have Affiliate Links? I'm loving that Spatula.
Not yet but will soon! Thankyou so much! 🥰💜 I appreciate it
Hi Jasmine l’m your new subscriber
Hi! Thankyou so much ☺️💕
Can I substitute & use Almond Flour thank you
I’ve seen Almond Flour Snickerdoodle. However, I’ve never tried it for this particular recipe 💕 Try it out! & let me know how it turns out☺️
Hello! I’m wondering about the butter did you just let it soften & then measure out a cup with a dry measuring cup or with a liquid measuring cup?
I didn’t use a measuring cup at all. I just used 2 sticks of butter 🧡
I made the exact same thing but with salted butter and no cream of tarter and they came out super liquid like pancake batter. Is it because of the butter I used? I can’t even form them into balls
I saw a recipe that did not use cream of tarter. Do you think this and a staple ingredient in this recipe? Or can we do without?
What can I replace cream of tartar with?
Thanks! I like fluffy snickerdoodles not flat ones you are the queen 👸
You’re welcome 🥰💜
Hi Jasmine, thank you for your video! Does the brand of purpose flour matter? I tried to bake last night but my cookies tasted cheap. I wasn’t sure if it was because I used great value all purpose flour
Hello Sonya 💜 They should still taste fine. How long did you allow the dough to chill in the fridge before making them? Sometimes that cream of tarter taste can be really strong. Sometimes the quality of butter can make a difference as well.
Can these be baked in bigger sizes as well? Like can I use this dough for more jumbo cookies?
Yes, just use an ice cream scoop 💕
hi! did you smash the butter before hand in the beginning??
Yep it was softened so I went ahead & smashed it💕
@@JasminesKitchenn thank you!!😊
Hi Jasmine! I am going to make these cookies today but I was wondering if you can use light brown sugar instead of dark brown sugar. Is there a big difference when baked? Thank you!
Hello 💕 Yes you can use light brown sugar. It may be a tad less sweet & maybe even a tad less chewy. This is because light brown sugar doesn’t have as much molasses as dark brown sugar. I hope you enjoy! ☺️☺️
Ty Jazmine! Just wanted to give you an update. I did use the dark brown sugar and the cookies turned out very soft and chewy! The whole family at Christmas loved them! This will be my new recipe to go to with snickerdoodles!
Hello I was wondering can you add toffee bits to the mix?
You can 💕☺️
Hi, I was wondering if this would work with salted butter. I got all the ingredients but forgot to get u salted butter. Don’t want them to be salty cookies so would this be fine?
Hello Malik, salted butter is fine :) Just don’t add the additional salt that’s in the recipe 💕
@@JasminesKitchenn alright so i have my dough and it’s chilled in the fridge overnight. But it’s sticky and doesn’t look like yours. I tried adding more flour and mixing but that doesn’t seem to be working. What would u recommend?
Is over mixing what makes the dough too wet and sticky? I did fine with the first batch but i think i messed up by letting my mixer run
these cookies are amazing but i do have a question how are you getting them to come so puffy i made these yesterday and they came out super thin?
Hello Amber, Thankyou for watching & trying the recipe 💕
Usually when cookies fall flat it’s because the butter was too soft or melted. Or the oven is too hot :)
Okay thank you! I’ll keep trying
The last recipe I used was similar to this (375 10-12min) & mine got hard once cooled. Whats the trick of when to pull these out? My center looked doughy/uncooked after 10 min & I probably over cooked. What should the center look like?
They should be puffy & fall after a few minutes. They should remain soft. I’m not sure why yours came out hard. I would need to see the recipe you used 💜
can you make these without the mixer?
You could but you want to make sure your butter & sugar mixture is light & fluffy 💕
I think this is just the recipe I've been looking for. I dont like when they flatten.😢 I much prefer them soft and chewy.
What are cupfuls?
Can you make this without cream of tarter?
You could but they won’t rise or have that distinctive snicker doodle taste. 💕
@@JasminesKitchenn I have a friend who can't have cream of tarter anymore. Shes loves these so much. I might have to do some research. Thank you!
@@JasminesKitchenn there are substitutions available.
Can you divide the measurements in half? I love this recipe but only want to make half the batch
Yes you can!🧡
Hi
Hello 💕
Why does it has to sit in the fridge overnight (or at least 6 hours) when most cookies are in the fridge for 30mins-1 hour
It’s not mandatory. Just taste better 💜 Cream of tarter can be strong
Ok thanks I did make them though they were pretty good (me and my family are are basically food critics so we’re all picky)
Is 4 hours in the fridge good enough?? 😩😩😩 I made them too late and heard 6 hours I have 4 😂
That should be fine 😆💜
All-purpose flour, you mean snickerdoodle flour, right?😅
It's not "one fourth" it "one quarter" ... when you have a quarter, you don't have "one fourth" doller. 😆 🤣 😂 can't stand when people don't know how to say something as simple as "one quarter" instead of " one fourth " ...
Thank you so much for watching ☺️💕
Its the same fucking thing smartass
Can’t stand when rude people complain and gripe about nothing! Get over it!
