Was looking for a snickerdoodle cookie where I can sub the “cream of tar tar” and room temperature oil and NO chilling time needed this was so perfect. Thank you, appreciate you! 😍💚🥰 also for my oven I had to bake for 15-20 mins! And thank you for converting the measurements to cups/tsp/tbs!!!

LMAOOO im from the USA and when u said 180 I forgot you guys use celsius
😂 We do indeed! Hope it all ended with yummy cookies for you!
Hi! Definitely trying this it looks delicious! Just one question, are they chewy? Because personally I prefer the chewy ones over the cakey ones.
Yes they are! I much prefer chewy cookies too 😊
God bless
Thank you! 🙏🏾
You are so underrated🥰
Awww, thank you! 🥰
Your welcome and thank you for the recipe the cookies were Amazing😊
Did you grease the pan before you put the dough on it?
No greasing needed, just pop straight on the pan :)
What is the difference between regular sugar and caster sugar? Also, can I use caster sugar instead? Because I think mine is caster because they're not as soft as yours
I use granulated sugar, but you could use caster. Caster sugar is finer than granulated, but not as fine as icing/powdered sugar. Somewhere in between the two. It dissolves more easily than granulated so is good to use in cakes so you don't get the crystals that granulated would give instead. But you can def use either in this recipe 😊
Mine turned out sticky I wonder if I added to much oil by accident or something because even if I add more flour it is still sticky
Could i possibly use brown sugar instead of white?
I would suggest sticking with white sugar: brown sugar contains more moisture, so it will affect the texture of the cookies.
Mine did not spread out while cooking. They stayed in rolled balls. They still taste good though. My dough was super dry
Hi! How many degrees should u set the oven to?
Set to 180C/350F
Can you convert the grams and ml into cups
These are not exact, as I have just used an online converter to change to cups. Hope it will still work for you!
3/4 cup + 2tbsp sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups plain/all purpose flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cinnamon
Plus you'll need to do the cinnamon sugar too.
Let me know how they turn out! :)
@@MoversandBakers can I replace the oil with melted butter?
@@claudiagallardo1659I've never done it myself, so not really sure. Butter has a lower melting point than oil, so using butter will mean your cookies will spread out more in the oven whilst baking. Oil will help them hold their shape better. If you want to use butter though, replace the 1/2 cup oil with 2/3 cup butter. It will likely change the texture of your finished cookie, but I've not done it myself like I said so no idea how exactly! :)
I followed these conversations and mine came out very crumbly, not your fault of course I’m sure I just did something wrong but it does seem 1 and 1/2 cup flour is a bit too much
@@MoversandBakers I followed your directions with these conversions and they came out perfectly! They’re sooooo good
been looking for a recipe of snickerdoodles with no cream of tartar, will definitely try it. but may i ask what will be the difference in making it if with cream of tartar?
Cream of tartar gives a more tangy taste than these snickerdoodles have, but I still adore them! 😍
I was wondering same thing, does the cream of tartar make a difference in taste or consistency
Can i use melted butter instead of vegetable oil??
Using melted butter will change how the cookies respond to heat in the oven. They will still taste good, but will spread a lot and not hold shape as well. I would recommend oil every time 😊
They’re coming out the oven right now. My dough came out a bit dry, and I had to add milk to be able to roll them up
Hi! Can i use cake flour instead of plain flour? Thank you in advance! 😊
Cake flour is different to plain flour. It has a lower gluten level than plain flour, so will react differently in bakes. I've never used cake flour myself, so I've no idea how it would work in this recipe. If you do try it, I'd love to hear if it works!! 😊
Hi! Ive tried it using youre recipe! Turns out great!!! Thank you!!! More power to your channel! 😊
@@shielamariegonzales4934 that's brilliant! 😊 Did you use plain flour or cake flour in the end?
I used plain flour! Turns out great! Thank you once again for this wonderful recipe! 😊
@@shielamariegonzales4934 you are most welcome! So pleased you've enjoyed it! 😊
What was the oven temperature
180C/350F 😊
When I made these my batter was too moisturey and not like cooking batter.. any suggestions on what to do? I added a good amount of flour tho
Hmmm. Did you use substitutions for ingredients at all? Or use ingredients a little different to what I stated? Or even slightly different quantities?
Movers and Bakers the quantities. The ones you gave in terms of cups
@@laasyarayaprolu1259 I'll be honest, I'm not used to cups as a measure, I just used an online conversion chart to get equivalents. I have had someone else use the cups measures I provided and they turned out for them. Not sure why yours didn't work, I'm sorry!
do we have to put vanilla extract?
Yes! You add it in the first step, recipe is on my blog (link below the video) :)
Just realised you probably meant whether vanilla extract is required. It's not essential, but it just adds a bit more to the overall flavour.
Let me know how you get on :)
Could I use butter instead of oil? If so, how much should I use?
I've never tried this recipe with butter, so I'm not too sure! I actually prefer using oil as I don't have to wait to melt and slightly cool my butter (I'm impatient!!) 😂
I made them with butter last night! They were delicious! But I think my dough was too wet because my cookies spread. Next time I will definitely use oil. Thank you for a great recipe! 😁
@@susiecifone1133 ah, butter will melt at a lower temperature, so I'm not surprised! Glad you've enjoyed, let me know how the oil version turns out! And don't forget to like, subscribe and share the video if you've enjoyed! Thank you!! 😊
What’s it converted into cups
I have the full conversion of grams to cups on my blog to help. You can find the link in the description.
Can I use pure baking soda?
As long as it is sodium bicarbonate and not sodium carbonate, yes! 😊
Movers and Bakers I made them and they turned out SO GOOD!!
@@nohelym.9398 that's brilliant! Thank you for letting me know!! 😊
One question! Degrees or Fahrenheit
180C/350F 😊
I'm just curious why you wouldn't use cream of tartar. That is one of the signatures of snickerdoodles vs say just a sugared sugar cookie.
It's not a very often used ingredient, so many people want to make snickerdoodles without having to go out to get cream of tartar specifically. Just a different way is all! 😊
is it baking soda or baking powder?
Baking soda 😊
Movers and Bakers Thanks, i tried it with that and i absolutely LOVED it!
@@dsgham74 that's amazing, I'm so happy to hear that! Thanks so much for letting me know!! 💕
Movers and Bakers can we us baking powder ☺️
@@stantwice4934 no, baking soda/bicarbonate of soda is different to baking powder
Could u please write down the recipe
Recipe is available if you follow the link (in the text below the video) to my blog. Measurements are in both grams and cups to suit! 😊
I don't have a scale so I use measuring cups and this recipie is hard to follow since you don't also have tgr amount in cups
Here in the UK, we use weight as a measurement for cooking and baking. If you want the equivalent measurements in cups, please do take a look on my blog as I always provide both measurements to suit personal preferences 😊
Me trying to figure out what the measurements are 😂😂😂
All measurements for my recipes in cups and grams can be found on my blog. Just follow the link in the blurb 😊
Milliliters? Grams? For fuck sake.
