Jackson's voice is as dear and beautiful to me as the sound of any of my most beloved friends and family.
His lyrics and melodies have been with me since I was a young woman "looking for water, and looking for life." He is among a group of songwriters that created deep, powerful, crucial, work that defined and united my generation in a quest to bring everyone into the garden. I would not want to rank those voices. Jackson's work is among the very best, and lives in my heart and mind and body and soul. It courses through me like my blood. 🥀🥀🥀

I still get emotional whenever I listen to The Pretender, one of the greatest laments in music that’s not about love or death. And I love his intonation on one of my other favourite songs “In the Shape of a Heart” when he sings: “It was a ruby that she wore, On a stand beside the bed, In the hour before dawn, When I knew she was gone, And I held it in my hand, For a little while”. The sense of a love lost and the conflict that led to it is gut wrenching.

"The Load Out" is an absolute masterpiece; an ode to the unsung heroes working behind the scenes to orchestrate the concerts we love so much. Jackson Browne just got it.

When I was a roadie, I really appreciated the song "The Load Out" because it really did capture that postshow feeling when you still had a lot of hours and miles still ahead

Jackson Browne very early recordings have such an innocent Boy wonder like way about then/him. I absolutely adore his sound then! And now! This man is just truly unique in his extraordinary talent, work ethic and Humanitarian Way of Life. What a genuinely kind man and wonderful Musician!❤🎶

Listen to Fountain of Sorrow or Late for the Sky and tell me his voice isn't fantastic. His delivery is perfection.

Jackson Brown was one of the best songwriters of the '70s... Just catchy, free-wheeling lyrics that didn't require too much thought to make a substantial picture in ones mind.
