Futaba 7PXR Winch One Channel Momentary Setup using the Condition Function - How To

- This a 'How To' to setup a winch on the Futaba 7PXR (this should also work on the 7PX as well) to ONLY use 1 channel. I have used 2 channels in the past and eliminating 1 channel now has opened up an additional channel I can use for anything, Lights, a 2nd Winch or really anything.
Equipment:
Futaba 7PXR Transmitter
Reef's RC 422 HD Servo Winch
Vanquish VS410-Pro Kit

Great video and detail, I know the illustrations etc. must take time, and it’s appreciated!
I programmed the DL1 dial (Digital Dial) for my winch. I only use winch as a lift for my mini snow-plow on a Losi 1/5scale, so it only “needs” to go in/out about an inch. The dial makes it so it only moves in/out as much as I turn dial in either direction, then stops when I stop turning (maybe 1/8 turn in either direction anyway).
So instead of using a whole winch setup, I just put the winch spool on a servo and set servo to turn 360°~ in/out.
I put a pulley in place to create downforce on plow blade as I winch in, so the plow blade doesn’t hop. It’s pretty cool to plow sidewalk, especially using paddle tires on all 4-wheels. Doesn’t work real well with packed snow, but moves 1.5” of powder nicely.
I can use it as a regular winch as well, but it’s not as smooth as a momentary switch since ihave to turn knob.
Take care!
Thank you for watching and the detail on what you are doing. On my straight plows I use the knob to move the plow side to side. Yeah I never did any programming on limiting the winch on any of my plows and I probably should look in to it on both my TX radios I use. For my snowblower I use actuators and those have automatic stops which I like. Again, Thank You! 🙂
Legend save me hellbof a time thank you
Thank you for watching. I an happy this video helped.
Very helpful. I plan on using this for a rear steer setup on a crawler
This process I did for a winch, could work for that also. Thank You for Watching.
Fancy radio , good info !
Thank you!!
Amazing video! Can you do one for 2 gears? Also how to find 2 small servos to lock diffs??
I noticed you're not on the latest firmware (5 bar battery vs 3). Futaba added winch control features in there that are worth looking at.
I'll have to check the version. I thought that was for the 10px tx not the 7pxr. It should be 5 bars on my current firmware. I did not have a full charge. However, thank you for the information.
Well, I see. Something new to play around with. I see how it works and it is similar to how I have one of my rigs setup on my DX6R.
Again, Thank You for the information.
Hi .is there a way you can control power output on ch4. I was always wondering if I can switch on/off my lights on my ca r from the remote . I would power it from ch4. Tia
Thank you for Watching. As long as you have a switch, you can control your lights on any open channel you have on the receiver. If that is channel 4, yes, you can use that.
The switch I use from Amazon. Apex RC Products RC Remote Electronic AUX Channel On/Off Switch #9025
Thank u
My 7px only says copy condition 1 to 2
Hum...when I did the research the 7px and 7pxr are running the same firmware. But odd you only see that. I'll have to look at mine and see. I know I've seen it on mine where there was an option to do a copy.
What receiver are you using?
I am using the R2008SB receiver.
@@henrysrcgarage5210I can’t get mine to work with the injora 3 way switch. Both my receivers say nope.
@Life Through A Lens hum, not sure the issue. I was looking for an Injora 3 way switch or winch controller and could only find the Injora wireless ones. Those won't work with any rx / tx since those have a key phob to control the winch.
@@henrysrcgarage5210 Which 3 way switch are you using herein this video?
@Life Through A Lens I am using Reef's RC servo winch. This has a built in controller.
