Anyone else wish their hair grew as quickly as Sika's does.

No joke, y'all have to try kiwi with skin. I thought it's gross until I tried it.
The mexican version of this is called "Raspados" and we use homemade fruit syrup, is one of the best deserts for the summer!
Snow cones and Shaved Ice are two different things here in the US.
I recommend freezing ice tea and making kakigōri for a very refreshing treat! We brought our kakigōri maker from Japan when we emigrated to USA, and we used to make kakigōri with it all the time. The mechanism and the sounds hit me right in the nostalgia.
These are considered Shaved Ice where I am. I'm here in the US. Usually you want to stay away from "sugar free" cause it tends to have a strange after taste unless mixed with vanilla...what I've found. For me I prefer Cherry, grape or orange flavors.
This brings back memories. As a little girl, I had a Japanese friend, and we would often go to her house to play. Her mother didn't speak any English, but she always welcomed me with a shy smile. During the hot summer she would make shaved ice desserts for us.
Respect for Jackie's felt
Jackie in the states where I live it depends where you are getting the snow cone/ shaved ice on how fluffy it is
I have officially entered my rewatching all the Jackie sika nerdecrafter videos era
I love how her name is Jessica but instead of Jess they call her Sika it's so cute and unique I love it
Me side-eyeing you not having a safety disclaimer before drinking out of resin cups, Jackie :P
Korea has a similar shaved ice snack called Bingsu. It's like ice and condensed milk and fruit syrup/chopped fruit, and it's very good.
Glad I found this channel, your positive happy energy is very refreshing.
Not sure if you'll see this, Jackie, but a good rule of thumb is that we sense less sweetness in frozen/very cold things than when they're warm or room temp, so you need to make ice cream/other frozen bases just a little sweeter than to taste before you freeze them. A pinch of salt helps enhance sweetness too!
Food science fact: Sweetness is perceived in inverse relation to temperature. In other words, hot or room temperature drinks are sweeter than cold drinks. To get your cold drinks (shaved ice) to the same sweetness you have to add more sugar. That's also why soda has so much sugar in it.
