Imposing Sharia law depletes the rights of people. For example, if you revert from Islam, the punishment is death. So you don't have the right to choose your own beliefs. There is no argument about that. If you try to argue it, you are contradicting Islamic law.
@Brulluhman Before Islam, Arabs used to bury their daughters alive as they thought birth of son was a source of pride and birth of daughter brought shame to the father. Talk about a father burying alive his own daughter with his own hands while his cute daughter calling him daddy..daddy.. Then Islam arrived...& everything changed... now the birth of a daughter was declared a blessing and a source of honor. Now women could do business and inherit property. Talk about that Shariah.
@WikeddTung Good point. Freedom and fascism can coincide if a nation considers their fascism to be their freedom. Although that's very wrong but there's something even worse than that; i.e., after massacring millions of innocents, they claim to be the champions of democracy, justice and human rights.
@Brulluhman Your comment is full of BS. 1- Video above wasn't about Islam. 2- Shariah is not a bunch of oppressive commands as propagandized, but it is a complete code for a WELFARE STATE, that includes how to provide stipends to the jobless, the widows and orphans, justice to the people based on equality, and to develop a moral educational, financial and scientific infrastructure. Lets blame immorality and evil of US establishment on US-constitution. Face in the mirror looks ugly, right?
@Brulluhman Your asking a question as a form of defense for issues you don't understand "sounds to me", just have a look at Chomsky's work, go through a good deal of his videos here on YT (or do real research n read his books) this would help you comprehend the irrelevant questions you ask in order to make a weak argument for American foreign policy. In other words first learn the facts, then your free to distort them if willing. Or learn both sides of the argument before u make an opinion.
@AntiHypocrisy Blah, blah, blah.... he literally could have summed up all of his points here in 3 minutes tops. Great mind, Great thoughts, but he is a terribly boring speaker, no wonder very few listen to him or take him seriously. Also, no one in America really claims to be a champion of democracy. We don't really care about anyone over there, so we don't really care about the truth.
@xtriager true. but then again, folks living in extremely deprived & (pardon my french) completely destitute & sh!tty conditions.. so bad that death due to lack of resources etc. is common.. kinda makes the whole question of faith take a backseat. many would gladly believe whatever sum1 wanted 'em to.. simply to gain better conditions to live under. (we americans forget that alot of these sort of issues are luxeries.. & most have more severe concerns that they must worry about 1st.)
Ummm.. Where are you getting this info frm?? Is this something u have literally wittnesed or experienced, or are u jst taking the word of a talking head on the radio or editorial news program?? (Cuz, personally, I dont take ANYONES word.. I fact check!) I ask because as someone who lives in America, & who knows muslims, as well as jst about every other kind of faith & culture, I have NEVER heard of such a thing.. EVER!! (My dad is a citizen, & a muslim.. And he does NOT feel this way, AT ALL.)

So your dad believes that imposing Sharia law depletes the rights of people? Ask him...
