I live at the amazing, new in 2022, Ren building in Seattle, about 2 blocks from you. That thing where you said "I don't know what that is" at 1:53, it contains the heating/air conditioning unit. I know because I have it at the Ren, and they had to go in there to replace the air filters.
1:55 That is the air conditioner panel. Not sure why you’re saying it’s dark from January through June. The sun sets at 9:30 around the summer solstice, and twilight lasts well past 10pm. To me the days start feeling really short around mid-October, and that feeling lasts until about early March when the clocks change back. Maybe after a few more years here you’ll have a different perspective.
For the most part I've only been here since July so i've missed the longest days of summer. I was mostly basing that off of what a couple friends who've grown up here said. They said it stays pretty cloudy from January to June (they said June is sometimes called Juneuary because of how cloudy it gets). Although I'm basing most of what I said on anecdotal information. Nothing concrete.
It always amazes me how expensive it is to live downtown versus outside the city. I live south of Seattle in the foothills and our house payment is about 1/2 the rent of this apartment - for a 3k+ sq foot, custom home on 20 acres! If I lived in the city, I would want a view of the water, but the kitchen in that apartment is amazing (was that a wine fridge in the island?). I do like the Scandinavian style of this apartment. Thanks for giving us a peek at what rent in Seattle gets you.
Woah! Your place sounds amazing! Haha definitely plenty of space to stretch out. It’s cool to see your comment and know the comparison. Also I agree the Scandinavian style is nice! To me it makes things feel brighter and looks clean.
@@Chris_jae That bright is such a must here. Not to flex, but as long as I shared so much about my home, I thought I'd mention, I can see Seattle the Cascades & the Olympics from my place - I never get tired of the views & amazing sunsets. Speaking of views, be sure to visit the observation deck at the Columbia Tower.
Check out my apartment about 2 blocks from him at REN Apartments in Seattle. It is a steep $3515 a month, but I think it is worth it. Much more open and spacious feel that the building being shown. I'm a software engineer making good money and be in studios for the past 15 years but my new crib is worth it to me (I'm still able to save away $3600 a month in the bank), although the thought of all that rent made me nauseous before I moved in. video of my crib here ua-cam.com/video/4gVbLQ70LvQ/v-deo.html
😂😂 your channel will grow huge because of quality and the fact that you know what you're weak at and willing to better it..I'm watching from Kenya ,Africa btw
I am a native satellite and with all the people who have migrated here has caused the cost of living to be high I can never afford that which I've worked in the tech industry here but Seattle is now a ruin city thanks people
I'm hoping some form of rent controls are intorduced to try and slow the sharp rises in rent costs. I was surprized to learn that average rent in 2011 hovered around 1000 - 1100. Crazy that it's double that now.

all the money was spent on appliances! its just a basic apartment.
Other than the view, that's what I've found for many Seattle apartments. Appliances and amenities like gyms and rooftop bars help drive up the costs.
@@Chris_jae Hey Chris, kindly what's the name of the building?
@@miss.muthoni.njoroge it’s Stratus!
