sweet, i love melodicas they are so addicting, i swear all my friends tell me not to play anymore and then i give mine to them and they play all day everyday
After watching all of your videos with my housemates one day, I come back every few days or so just to watch this one. Pretty awesome one-man-band you've got going, it's amazing how much depth a melodica can add to a song.
I have a maroon melodica from the 60s that my Aunt who ran a music store gabe me. Still has regular and extended mouthpiece and strap! I'm I've lucky girl. I THINK it's a Hoehner but I haven't played it in yrs. You've inspired me w this random vid I espied! Madness was so cool. You should do Ghost Town! (Maybe you already have...
this is actually really really good :D was suprisingly impressed :) al be hinest wen i seen the begining of this i had my douts......but like is said, very nice stuff mate :D
Amazing rendition!! this is my favouirite all time song. i learnt it on piano (see my vids). Madness would be proud. have you done any more of their songs like this? :o)
Hi Betokan. I recorded the sound for each instrument separately using a condenser mic, then mixed those tracks down using Audacity (free program), then used that track as the main track on the video to which I sync'd the video clips to. None of the audio from the video camera is used, other than to help me sync the parts. Does that explain it?
+yoz2k25 Yes, for the most part. If I remember correctly I had to flatten one note for the melody, which is easy to do by pulling the metal piece out a bit. I used a tuner to make sure I got it right.
