Yes. The Bible is sexist. Most societies were/are matrilineal. And they have been successful for thousands of years. DNA (nature) also takes a matrilineal turn because it is through mDNA you can correctly identify ancestors accurately (Think Romanovs) as well as pass on certain diseases such as hemophilia (again, think Romanovs). There are very powerful women in the Bible like Deborah, Esther, Ruth and Mary. Solomon wrote an entire book about the body of the Queen of Sheba. That woman held a lot of power (according to the song of solomon) One woman brought on the fall of man. But, they are often overshadowed by the role of the man. I may even would revise my first thought and say that it (the Bible) may not be sexist but the people who interpret it are. 🤷🏿‍♀️

This video is so poorly researched it’s disgusting. All of these issues can be traced back immediately to male perspective. You talk about how god tries to help women, but these oppressive rules that exist are written through men stating they wrote as God. You also use one example and try to state that’s the regular case, when it seems as though it’s emphasized to show how irregular this is.

It may be sexist towards us if we pick and chose sexism when we see it convenient. We wouldn’t complain about sexism when the bible teaches men should be our providers, love us to the point of giving their lives for us, treat us with delicacy and honor, etc. Besides, whenever someone preaches about relationships its all about us, not men.

I would. That is because those are all things that I can do for myself. And I have to do those things for myself to know what appreciation, love, and desire feels like for me.

@@lekenaackerman9367 Agree. Which means that since the first date and on we also take initiative, court pursue and romance a guy, contribute to dating expenses (dinners, entertainment, etc.), and so on instead of just showing up to dates and leave it all to the guy, right?

@laylalayla6630 me personally? Yes, I did. And have been happily married for almost 20 years. I have been taught that no one will do things for me, so, if I work for it, I don't want it. I am now raising 4 boys and have 1 that is out on his own. And they are gentlemen that typically date strong women.

@@lekenaackerman9367 Thats good. I don’t agree with women who pick and chose gender roles and traditions only when it benefits them. I might get bad looks from friends but since the first date I contribute to expenses, court pursue romance a man, etc. even though it is expected from me to just show up and leave it all to men. Good to see you did the same since the first date. Hopefully one day more women will agree with us.

@LAYLALAYLA6630 So true! The Bible says men are to lay their lives like Jesus laid down His life for the church. Girls, do you want to trade places ;) ? So thankful for the biblical worldview and there still men out there who adhere to it - they are probably the ones who make this place still tolerable.
