Nice session but strange about the grip, but i can grip wooden rings for ages more than a metal bar, i wonder if you too have adapted more towards that perhaps

I think that may be a hypothesis rooted in strong evidence. On ring back days I have no grip issues at all. However, I do engage in false grip as much as possible on the rings. Nonetheless the wood is very "grippy" compared to the bar. I should try doing false grip on the bar again. Pullups are insanely difficult for me on a bar in false grip. Thanks man!

@@PaulfromOregonwe'd like to be good at everything we try but it's just not going to happen, and with limited time, I've ditched the things that don't work for me. No bar skills. No weight lifting. Not for me. But might be for you. Could try the cycle tape on your bar

💯 I'm the opposite when it comes rings. My grips not as good as on the bar. I do wear gloves more often than not on the bar.

@LockUpWorkouts that's fascinating. My rings are old and pretty sticky from hand oils and dirt.

@PaulfromOregon I've only reintroduced the rings, and I think that's where the problem 6 from getting used to them again they need a bit of grafters dirt and oiled.

Nice strong session paul wearing gloves sometimes helps with grip ive recently been moving away from using them to try and get use to it without. Like how you have made do with lack of space

The gloves don't work for me in winter because the rubber gets too cold??? And it doesn't grip as well. Does it get cold in your shop? I swear the cold makes everything less grippy. Hands, gloves, whatever. Thanks man!

@PaulfromOregon Gets freezing sometimes its hotter outside than it is in it. I loss the gloves come the colder months, but sometimes, with the bar being so cold a stick them back on 😄

This looks just like the maintenance shop I use to work in.

Get some climbers/lifters chalk. I call it anti-gravity powder, light dusting on the upper palm and fingers and then it's game on.
