Hi Joanie! Great channel, I'm ever so grateful to you for all the tips and tricks I learned from your videos! It's me who has a tip for you this time (wohaa!)... Rather than switching back and forth from EOS utility to Lightroom to check the composition and having to remember where things should go and all that fussy jazz, I have created myself some png images with all grids you are mentioning in this video (some simple red-colored lines created in Photoshop) and I use these images as an overlay in EOS utility itself... you'll be able to see live where your food and props are located according to the composition grid chosen! My life got a heck of a lot easier! Try that, you'll thank me!
PS: Your "How I left my day job" video is such a gem, has given me so much inspiration and great advice. I hold your hands in mine! :)

(By the way, if you hit Shift-O whilst in the crop tool, it cycles through different orientations of the current guidelines i.e. versions of the golden spiral, golden mean or diagonals coming in from different corners).

Excellent deliberation. Love watching your videos. Please do a video on using cheap speedlights with softbox. How effective that would be as I'm on a very tight budget. Already have a speedlight and softboxes for speedlights are available. If this affordable combination works it will save me a ton of money.
