  • 1972 Porsche 911 Le Mans Spec:
The 1972 Porsche 911 in its beautiful 'aubergine' color was a brand new car sold by Mitsuwa Motors.
This special car was modified by the owner of a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS, one of the first five lots sold by Mitsuwa Motors.
The exterior and interior are kept original, except from the power unit to the suspension, it boasts more performance than a racing car, sticking to genuine Porsche.
The engine is an original 2.4-litre air-cooled flat-six, which has been disassembled and replaced by a 3.4-liter racing unit, equipped with a one-off 3.4L racing unit custom-made for Porsche AG and based on the SCRS engine.
This Porsche-built 3.4L SCRS Racing unit has two spark plugs per cylinder then with dual ignition, racing camshafts, slide valves, 6 sets of throttles, mechanical racing injection, etc. and is fully balanced and assembled.
The engine has been dyno tested and imported in a wooden box with a "350ps warranty". The engine delivers 360 hp at 8,000 rpm and 35 kgm at 6,300 rpm.
To improve tire stability and rear traction to cope with the enormous power of the engine, an original Porsche special differential is fitted.
The suspension is a combination of Penske reinforced shock absorbers and reinforced torsion bars, supple yet able to cope with large inputs, and set slightly understeer.
Since the vehicle weighs only 1,050 kg, the weight / power ratio is 2.9 kg / ps, which surpasses the last 992 GT3 type.
Acceleration from low speed is similar to the sensation of a deformation and this in the thrust phase.
The brake system, which is mounted to the limit of the clearance of the original 15-inch alloy wheels, has a Porsche 911 Turbo brake caliper and perforated discs.
And like the racing car, it has been made into a twin master, and the hose is also for racing.
With this exquisite combination of engine, suspension and brakes, it has been completed as a machine that allows you to enjoy the driving pleasure.
It gives you a feeling like adrenaline comes out from the street to the winding road.
It is a one-off special "The 911" made by the method of tailoring a racing Porsche, like a special racing machine manufactured with the highest priority on performance even if the high cost is ignored.

Wow 🤩 amazing classic 70s Porsche. I love the engine and the horse power on how it can quickly accelerate at a high speed . However with a 3.4L engine I can imagine that it eats up a lot of gas quickly ⛽️ for a 70s car that’s done under 10,000 in mileage that is a great find !!! I would definitely buy this car is I found it !! The break suspension is amazing for this Porsche car as it does not put too much pressure on the tyres and at a high speed it can help the car gradually come to a stop without wearing out the brakes. I like the fact that the diameter of the wheel is big as the driver can feel they have more control of the car. Wow also a 6 throttle engine is given me V-8 engine vibes ! Overall a great great find !!! Wish this was my car 🚗

Outstanding 911 one off !!! Great upload !!!
When was the job done ?
I guess the car went customized in the 80es being based on the SCRS 3.0 model engine.
I can't remember such a big displacement unit in the Porsche engines production back then,so it really was a significant " no expense spared " full upgrade. Thanks for sharing 👍

The first owner signed a contract on December 21, 1988, to make a new 3.4L RSR modified after being introduced by Porsche specialist Reutmeyer in Switzerland.
The rough contents ordered at that time are as follows.
3.45L slide valve throttle, twin plugs, racing piston cylinder, racing camshaft, machined connecting rod, large oil pump, twin spark plug head, twin plug ignition set, racing clutch disc, A muffler with 100 horns or less (to comply with speedway noise regulations at the time)
The owner wanted a titanium connecting rod, but it was very expensive and did not affect the horsepower, so it was removed from the order.
All the above parts, including bolts and nuts, were new.
Upon completion, it was contracted to ship to Porsche, measure on Porsche's engine bench, and attach Porsche's bench test data.
Thank you so much for watching.
