hey maddie, just a precision about fanning there are three types of fanning: the first is used to emit the "come here phermone" bee fan with their abdomen up and their nasonove glands exposed their wings boosting the air UP, the second is when they expell moisture and its the same as the other one abdomen UP and they do this when they are fanning honey and you can actually smell the honey if you sit next to the entrance, and the third is when they have their abdomen DOWN and they look like an arc and that is a sign that they are suffocating and if they go out and beard in front of the entrance you need to drill holes in the top of the hive for more venting.
The first time I saw bees and wasps getting water from my birdbath, I thought I was seeing things! But, over the past few years, now that I'm used to seeing them, I always try to make sure there's plenty of water for the birds, bees and wasps, particularly on very hot days.
Hey, I have a doubt so if u make a artificial split can it be near the actual hive cause I'm confused some say it should be a bit far away frm the original hive from which they have splitted. Thank you.
The bee work very hard to store the honey, people should not just take it away. They should replace the honey with syrup, since syrup is very much similar to honey that it would keep the bee healthier 🤔! I think that bee only need syrupy feeding and it would be good for them and the future. Think about it, without the bee, you will not have honey!
