It's a cliche but this is for sure one of the most underrated bands of all time. Their acoustically yours album is perfection. Saw them live a few times, magic
We are all getting too old lads, great to see the guys still performing, loved listening to these guys back in the day. Put their cassette on in the car going for a spin to newby bridge and back, sheer pleasure.
So poignant. I am 50 and the best years of my life are behind me, but the music of China Crisis has been an inspiration through the years. From Flaunt the Imperfection and its string of hits in 1985, to What Price Paradise in 1986 to the peerless Diary of a Hollow Horse in 1989, their music has been the soundtrack to my life for so long. Lucky enough to see them numerous times from King Tuts in Glasgow to The Borderline in London and at many other venues besides. Great to see this live performance of a classic.
50 is just another number 😉 I'm 52 lol. They played Shrewsbury a few years ago but I was unable to get to the event till after they had played 😔 Found myself thinking of this song last night so looked them up. Gary is still gorgeous 😍
Best band ever was in my youth, they still sound as fresh like all their old songs were done today ! still know all the words, and the boys still look so youthful, they are ageless ! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
I am 57, in 1982 I was only 3 yrs young than them, I loved all their songs, great lyricists, best vocals, melodies, best stage performance and entertainment, still yummy, these guys are just too handsome ! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Missed out on seeing them in Leicester in summer 1989 but made up for it in the next few years by seeing them in Liverpool, London, Glasgow and the Lowry, Salford. Great live, even better than on record.
I used to love their songs in early 80's but later they kind of dropped out of the media, at least they did for me, never knew why. This was long before we had internet. I always remember listening to this song on my walkman walking to my girlfriends which as quite a hike back them, didn't have a car in them days. I am no 62 but still listening to a lot of 80s songs, the best period of music in my opinion. Would have loved to be in that crowd, looked a good night out
Their songs have very good keyboards. These sound changes sound regretful to me. The synthesizer has nothing to envy of the so-called real instruments.
This song will live forever.

True. They are also completely hilarious between songs.
Couldn’t agree more.
Amongst the chaos in the music scene of 70s/80s this was a calming song I used to chill too

Watched these lads last week in Liverpool,my home city at a 80s festival and they are still spot on.
This beautiful song has stood the test of time.
This song is a all time classic from two great lads from Liverpool

@@Jikan04 Mere striplings, wait until you are 72!
50 is young! My life had just started new wife, new baby and plenty to look forward to.
@@johnclayton1215 Good for you! China Crisis is probably my favourite band. Still listening to them.
Love the sax in this .
Brilliant band from a brilliant city from a brilliant era.
Eric Animan. He really is an excellent addition to CCs sound.

Great Song. One of the best 80's.
I'll never tire of this melody/lyrics

Was a stand out track of the 80s
Love China Crisis it will be amazing to see them live on the Eden rooftop at the Shankly hotel
A timeless classic master piece.
best of 80's
One of my favourites.
They were a good studio band and still remain that. Wonderful at that time.
This is my most favourite bands of all time, my favourite song witch I play all the time is Wishful thinking 🎧🎤
este temaa escuchava en mi juventud alla por los 85 temasoooooooo
Golden days,,,,
Saw them at Shepherd's Bush Empire supporting Belinda Carlisle, and I spoke to them at the service station where i worked years ago!
How did they come across?
Beautiful
Saw them on the 80’s Cruise. If there would have been no other band, I would have been ok with it. They were amazing!
Fantásticos.

They are superb …
Wonderful. Brummie 😊👍🏽
Hey awesome in every way thanks for uploading
I'd love to see these guys 😍
It's better to remember them as one of the best 80's band ever than when you see them nowadays.
Completely untrue, this is not their best gig. Seen em in Dub same year, they were on fire
@@paulwilliams2663 I'm sorry, but it's true.
Cool
Christ that drummer.......:))
Luv China crisis
2:40 that melody in the middle is so unique !
too pleasing to hear...
british band rock
2024 anybody.
Nocks the sh t out of todays music😊
Eddies got 2 years on me for age , but to be fair he ain't weathered well as we say in Liverpool ;(
Is that gary Johnson on bass? And wow that drummer
It is indeed. Had a chat with him in December - only plays certain gigs these days.
@@johnmcalindon523 thanks for that. Love china crisis

Ageless
This song IS my all-time-fav. but... I don't like the replacement of the signature keyboard line with sax =="
Now I know why I never heard of them.
Why
Great performance, shame it was where it was. A house goes up in smoke and next thing a big effort for a hotel gets going. Suspect or what 🤣
Great song bad singing
Love the song, hate the sax...🙄😏👍
Great tambourine player 😂😂
If you have trouble falling asleep. See these. So boring
