Your descriptions of the artwork on the sample cards had me laughing. I have a couple samples of the original Beaver. They changed it I think because of the dislike for the original. I liked it. Have a great weekend ahead.
The search for vintages is a noble cause. There is always a pressure to prioritise the search too as the supply is so limited. I have put off trying some niche houses for too long, though, so now I'm spreading my wings a bit 😂
Up Macaque!! 🤣😆 🙊 If you like Hyrax you must try Papillon Salome, it seems you have a soft spot for 🐈 💩 I’m hearing good things about Cow, definitely one to try soon, really enjoyed the video Rich you have a rare authenticity 🐥
Cow says: Moo! - other than that, the pack you selected has almost all of the perfumes from this house that i own, barring Camel and Nightingale (if my recall is working this morning). Musk Deer is soft and subtle - not at all what i expected, but a very nice wear. and the version of Macaque that you have, the 'Yuzu' one is the one i prefer. Bon Appetit, Rich... and Merci Beaucoup!
@@RichMitch well regardless looking forward to your take on it. Funny story I took my gf to scent bar here in Hollywood and I made her smell Hyrax. The look on her face was priceless 😂, I enjoyed it but doesn’t look like I’m going to be getting a bottle any time soon.
I've had a few samples and travel bottles of Zoologist over the years, and enjoyed everything I've tried thus far. Such an interesting house. I love their avant-garde creations which are the antithesis of the designer realm. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't share my enthusiasm.
That is a recurring theme, partners not liking perfumes lol. I'm really enjoying the novelty of the Zoologist at the minute, everything so far is very different from the zeitgeist in the perfume world
They defiantly need to add Duck. I own Camel, Bee, Koala, Moth and Nightingale. I do like the artistry of T-Rex, Squid and Elephant, but I don’t think I could wear them. Cow sounds like it might be worth a sample. Zoologist was a sampling dream for me.
Duck would be the finest fragrance available to humanity! 😂 I haven't tried any of the ones you mentioned yet so will be interesting to see what happens when I do
Nice one duck. This is a really fun house to sample. The artwork, blurbs, concept and smells make for a fun experience. That Hyrax on skin is something else…. Smells like a pissy, shitty rodent cage and I love it
My first impression of macaque was literally "I could make a better version of this on my first try" lol. I think sloth was my favorite.. tried all of them but the last 2 releases I think. The original bat is better but new bat not terrible. T-rex is interesting. None of them made the collection though
Lol this is macaque "yuzu edition", is there a non yuzu edition? Someone else mentioned that they had sloth 🦥 too. There seems to be agreement on a few and wild differences on some others. Not sure if any will make the collection, either tbh

Brand concept is pretty cool, like the animal portraits. Haven't sampled them save but one, but seems like a fun experience just to try them. Cheers, Rich. Looking forward to the rest. There are two Macaque versions, Yuzu and Fuji Apple.
@@RichMitch I was just going to say how the pictures are so grotesque. If you wanted to scare away a date who comes over just have those pictures hung up on the walls. Great first impressions! I've got to try some of those.
There is also a third Macaque, the original version, and so far my favorite although I like Yuzu and Fuji a lot. The original has some similarities to Silver Mountain Water but perhaps less metallic and more earth and water.
Hello again master Rich. Not tried any of these yet & need to at some point (like tons of others!) It'll be interesting to see your least and most favourites by the time you given them all a whirl. Excuse me while I sanitise 🤧 Have a good evening!

Well said..great house and video
Thanks 🙏🏻
Fantastic review, Duck! One day I would like to try this collection. It would look good on my wall.
It would you are right!
I'm soooo hyped for Sacred Scarab (the sultan pasha collab) coming out this summer.
I've heard of that, it'll be interesting too
Hyrax is beautiful. Love at first sniff. I wear it a lot (not usually in summer) and sometimes use it to give some growl to florals.
It's very potent! I ended up selling mine
@@RichMitch Aww, bummer. It’s certainly unique ;)
@@rorilee9791 It certainly is but I was just never wearing it, we need more unique stuff like it
