I am a strongest advocate of women empowerment and their equal participation in the economy of the country. If we double women participation in our economy from the current 14% to 28% we will have an addition of around 40-50Billion $ in our GDP. That is a huge number. This suggests that just by empowering women we can take care of almost all our economic woes. However, the sort of feminist movement that is pursued in Pakistan seems to me a bit superficial. That is what I talk about in todays video. Moreover, I also allude to the just society created by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which is the biggest case study of Feminism operating in its true essence.

The story of feminism doesn't starts from feminism but from its parent ideology called Liberalism . We cannot solve the issue of feminism without analysing the philosophical factory where it was first produced. And that can be seen in the works of The works of John Locke one of the founding fathers of Modern day liberalism . Which is a philosophy based on individualism and hedonism from Philosophical naturalism and expanded by Colonialism and Capitalism . Philosophy gives birth to ideas , ideas circulate in the Political spheres and society through activists , eventually it becomes a mainstream morality .

@@mhdhashaam973 the best way to combat hedonism and western culture is to create a cohesive atmosphere for a working alternative . Most humans believe in western thought and ethics becoz they dnt have any alternatives of it in the modern world. You can convince some with arguments but you can convince masses with examples . One of the major reasons behind the success of Islamic Activism was the Character of Prophet SAW himself and the way he structured the society . He stood for something and created an example for the world to follow . Muslims today lack a model or example to live by or to show the world . What we have today is muslims countries masquerading as false islamic nations and calling it islam and that counts Pakistan as well . For me Pakistan is just an incomplete Secular democracy which is confused between islam and secularism. A nation confused about its identity cannot succeed . It will be lost in its own maze .

Shahrukh I was a fan of your videos and book reviews, but here you are spitting false accusations I would say. Not only have you neglected that, the original ideas of Feminism, but you have also generalised thoughts of one or two Feminists; hate for Housewives, lesbianism etc.
Secondly, No one, I’d say no real feminists In Pakistan, not the newbies or cool feminists but real feminists want liberation from Religion or deny that religion doesn’t provide any rights to women. RELIGION DOES GIVE RIGHTS, SOCIETY DOESN’T. That’s the real fight.
Zartasha I appreciate your feedback. I never neglected the idea of feminism, I said in the interview that I agree with the philosophy in general sans the extremism part (Lesbian Feminism). I was referring to the greatest literature on Feminism; the book by Simone De Beauvoire titled The Second Sex. It gives you an insight into the idealist pursuits of Feminists. No study of Feminism can ever be complete without studying Simone and the Second Sex. My audience knows how much I love this book despite of the fact that a quite a few tenets propagated in the book do not resonate with my thought process but so what. That's what the beauty of discourse is. We have to be at peace with contesting ideas, that is what makes the society grow. None of what I said is false, you are most welcome to check it out.
thats a pakistan's version of feminism. also i agree with what he said as he mixed up fourth wave feminists with first wave feminists but. but we are not going to argue feminism based on what it was but it would by what it has become. also i dnt think you have any idea of the kind of rabid feminism which is practised in the west which is no short of liberation but the destruction of the societal structure by the abolishment of patriarchy. Radical Feminists as they call themselves are 4th wave feminists who dnt want to entertain Men in their life and reaction to such is MGTOW. i know that women arent safe anywhere probably but you gotta show us or atleast prove your philosophical bases before you argue for people to accept feminism. feminism is nothing but an attempt to define MORALITY first hand. you cannot understand feminism without understanding its parent ideology of liberalism.

These are the apologetic statements by Pakistani Desi feminist who are the victim of identity Crisis. They want to be feminist as well as Religius at the same time. That's why you would offen heard these wishy washy argument that oo look! Islam also support women rights and we are also fighting for those rights that our religion grants and we don't agree with feminists like Simone de Beauvoir , Elizabeth Stanton, etc who, if you read their works are basically hard core anti-religius. Feminism is basically a Liberal Colonial tool that was establish to expunge traditional religions especially Islam. Look at their agandas
1. Islam is the religion of Collectivism, therefore it emphasizes the importance of community and especially "Family ". But feminism is the destruction of family.
2= Islam believes in specific gender roles but feminism even negates gender differences.
3. Islam focuses on Hijab and concealing cirtain body parts. Feminists are anti- hijab and focus on gender integration.
4. Islam promotes and incourage the institution of marriage But feminism is the destruction of marriage.
5. Islam is inherently patriarchal religion where both genders have different roles but feminism is all about seeing patriarchy as an evil.
6. Islam blatantly negates same-sex marriage. Feminism is the extreme promotors of same-sex marriage.
When people start looking Islam from Liberal Secular perspective,It seems to the as anti-feminist and it is by the way. So you can't be a feminist as well as a true Muslim with the ideology totally in opposition to your faith.
Poor Pakistani Desi "feminist" can't be consider *true" feminist if they don't agree with the teaching of this ideology. And in the book " Feminist Menifesto" by Chimmamanda Ngozi Adichie She uses the term " "feminism lite" for these people who don't agree with actual teachings of feminism.

But as you have a growing audience I suggest you that instead of focusing on Extremism points (you pointed out lesbianism in last video too), make Pakistanis understand the basics of feminism, why equal opportunities are important for both genders and how women aren’t supposed to just stay at home and take care of family (you opposed the interviewer and I appreciate that). People here are too extremist, whether its about religion, politics or feminism at least. They don’t mind abusing and using filthy language for feminists, try to discourage that, as you explain points that laymen understand.
It's curious to find out how poverty would play out in an over populated Thuggistan in the context of women's right. In a land with no rule of law, how western ideas emanating from European history could play out. Half of the population live like prisoners in their household. They live in bondage accepting their slavery in the name of Islam.
