But anyone that has ever considered starting a channel will find this useful beyond measure. Actually seeing how it's done (or at least how you do it) goes so far to push the "fear of the unknown" aside. The quality of your content is exceptional - always has been. Of course most of that is you - your personality, your charisma, your amazing depth, your attention to detail - but without the foundation of a solid set up, your videos wouldn't happen at all. It's really nicey you putting so much effort and love to your videos 🥰 Though all those expensive props not really necessary, everyone different of course but I find simple tappings with soft spoken is the most sleepy one 🥰🥰
Thank you! I agree expensive equipment is absolutely not necessary… some of my favourite videos are the most simple and lo-fi ASMR with just a phone. I just thought I’d share my own set up for those who might be interested 😊💕

🤯 wow…….Treasury had no idea at the work ( and $$) that goes into your videos, I truly appreciate all your efforts hopefully in the future you can have an extra room for recording so you don’t have to set up and take down, I know some asmrist have ways of excepting donations, maybe look into it to help the pocketbook, congrats on the 25+ subs but we all know you deserve more, this is a great idea for a video but for me it’s the audio I really like, love the sultry voice the up close whispering, again 🤯 have a great week👍😎✌️

The iPhone has been great but at some stage I would definitely like a proper camera so I have more control over the focus, white balance etc and also so I can see the viewfinder for things like making sure light triggers are on screen 🩷
@@ASMRTreasury i totally agree and understand. its just that before your video i happend to see a big asmr artist being a diva and talk about behind scenes things and said a lot and i got really angry cus there is MANY asmr artist struggeling and LIKE /LOVE what they do with the things they have and MANY people love that. So easy to be a diva when it's sponsored money ticking channels that once started with just a phone and got big. For me its about sound and passion. I LOVE what you do!

I mean, I don’t really count the smart phone or the laptop in the expenses because it’s not like you specifically bought those for your channel or making content. You most likely already had both of those before you decided to make ASMR content. Or at least I feel like most people will have at least one or both of those items already. If not a laptop, at least a computer of some kind. Which I think cuts off $2,000-$2,300 from your proposed expenses.
Even considering that, wow. That’s a pretty big investment. I don’t think most people start off with that set up. Unless they have the money to do so. I’m hoping to start my ASMR soon. I’m about to splurge on a yeti blue X mic. I already have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and a razor laptop. I also have a connector cable that will allow me to connect my iPhone to my mic. I feel like that is a good start. All your lighting effects are my next step. I’m not quite sure where I’m going to film. Thank you for posting this video. It was very educational. Would you say that a lot of your expenses you were able to pull money from what you made from your videos? Or was this money that you already had in your bank?
Hi! You’re right! Most people will already have a phone and some sort of laptop which would be perfectly adequate. Plenty of people start with lofi ASMR just recording via their phone and there’s lots of free video/audio editing software you can use so you certainly don’t need a big investment to get started.
The main thing for me was the mics, and the yeti is a great mic - really popular in the ASMR niche as I’m sure you know, so that’s a great choice :)
I was lucky enough to have a little bit of savings to be able to get started and the rest I have gradually paid off over time as the channel has started to create income.

I have a million questions, including the flower (not that, the other one), but no point, Treasure of mine. I wish you good luck in your work, or hobby, or whatever it is, it's a serious thing, and costs you a lot of money. My advise is, throw the iPhone, get the real camera. Keep the phone for phone purposses. If you wanna be a pro, then be a PRO. You are one step to be. BTW, i'm taller than Lord Vader. And the force, i invented it.

I'm glad you're not mad at me for telling you to throw away the iPhone. The truth is that every gsm is doing 58 other things in the background while you're shooting. Instead, the camera is just a camera. There are HD cameras, 4K cameras. Much better than gsm.@@ASMRTreasury

rodes really are not that great either, look at akg's neuman, dpa's. Pelusos are ok, I've known a few ppl who run them and like them as well.
Ohh thank you! I will look into those. I looked at the Rodes specifically as they have such low self noise and it’s that “white noise” hiss sound that I don’t like!
