What's your thoughts on this 5700U box? For the price, we are pretty keen on it.
What I want to know is if it will keep up with vr steam games. It has the cpu and you requirements but will it keep up? I want to play fallout 4
As far as using it as a media center, is it capable of HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision? And on the sound side, Atmos? 7.1? 5.1? I can't seem to find any information on these topics

Yeah I was actually surprised at how much it can handle for the price, sure it's not going to run big AAA games but for under 300 bucks it's sold.

I managed to grab same spec mini PC for 85$ on Ali and hell it's amazing. As a home multimedia centre, it's the perfect device.

My son is almost six and his interest in video games is FLOURISHING. I wanted to get him one of these as an all in one console (nes-ps2) for his tv!
If you want to set it up for retro games I would recommend looking into EmuDeck for windows.

I'm wondering how this would fare with a game like Helldivers 2. The GPU requirements for it are incredibly low for a AAA game, my 2060 only uses 12% max when playing, it's all CPU based.

Would I be able to run the new modern warfare three online on this? Or in your opinion what’s the best way that I can play the new call of duty modern warfare three multiplayer while traveling? I already have a MacBook. That’s my daily driver, so I don’t want another laptop. But I’m not opposed to getting a mini PC like this and grabbing external portable projector. I wouldn't try a game like that on a budget PC like this, something like a ROG ALLY or legion GO might be a better fit for you especially if you're going to be traveling.

It feels like I’ve heard just about every retro handheld, and this seems like “just another one”.. I don’t want to buy and then In a month the next best thing is here 🤦🏽♂️
Not me but it's a popular choice. The ALLY has a lot of power so for big AAA games on the go it's a good choice, my only issue with it is the battery life leaves a lot to be desired so you'll need a power bank, and there's an SD card problem on some units. Unfortunately there's always going to be a next best thing especially with handheld PCs, but that won't change the fact that it has a powerful processor. If you don't mind something bigger I would look at the Lenovo legion Go as another solid choice with a bigger battery, I would love to recommend the steam deck but it doesn't have official support for CoD MW3.
@@RadOpsTV I’ve owned the Ally and have the Legion Go the Z1 Extreme runs MWII and MWIII fantastic just at lower resolution.
Would you say to get the best out of this system pairing it with an external gpu would allow more modern games (cod black ops 3)?
Unfortunately since it doesn't have a USB 4 port it doesn't support an external GPU.

2 questions as I’m looking to buy one of these for not gaming but to start and run a buisness through shopify, aswell as trading. Was wondering if the system for £140 which I can get it for is good. And was also wondering what the difference between nipogi and kamuri is?? Are they the same and just have different names due to one being UK model and other being US. Would be great to know before making the purchase.
For everyday use this is perfect, your use case is more in line with what a mini PC like this is good for. As far as the difference I'm really not sure, it's likely just a rebrand since that's very common with products like this.

@@retrohandhelds It appears to be a rebrand. AM02 Pro is under several dropshippers. The manufacturer itself is chinese, but the dropshippers are enabling this to appear in EU/UK/US markets. I'm about to test the 64GB Max DDR4 claim. The CPU is slated to take 32GB while the marketing for this is rated for 64GB. It's an annoyingly weird inconsistency and I've got a Corsair Vengeance 2933MHz kit coming for this purpose.

Yes as long as you're not trying to use a lot of heavy effects, light color grading and transitions are fine. I can't confirm how good the streaming experience will be but I used OBS to capture all the footage and didn't see any impact on performance.

For the price given, it's O.K. I went with the Beelink SER5 Max 5800H and 32GB RAM for $70 more.

can i play far cry 6 or those kind of games on this minipc ?
You could run far cry 6 on the 5700u, as long as you're ok with running it at 720p you can get between 30 and 45 fps.
But something with a little more power would be a better fit for games like that.

Do you know if this pc could run lethal company?
I haven't tried that game but it should work, it runs on the 5500u at about 40fps so it should perform better with the 5700u.

I can confirm based on manufacturer specifications of the Mini PC (AM02 Pro, Multiple Vendor, Single Manufacturer), that it DOES take 64GB of DDR4 Memory. I have upgraded mine with a 64GB (2x32GB) Corsair Vengeance 2933MHz DDR4 Kit because I plan to use this for programming and light cases when not in need of my larger PC.
The Ryzen 7 5700U is limited to 32GB only in laptop vendors, it seems, and AMD has made no official max memory support to my knowledge. For buyers of this PC, if you need COMPUTE and RAM for tasks over any graphics workloads, this will do well.

@@retrohandhelds i can talk more about it too, it's really underrated. I started my uni project on an i9-10900F / 128GB RAM / RX 7900 XTX desktop, but I got barely any performance difference just using the mini PC with 64GB of RAM.
I finished most of the final stuff and light programming tasks on the device and couldn't even push the device past 20GB with UnityEditor, multiple Visual Studio tabs, multiple MS Edge tabs, Spotify and various files. The only performance hit was the SSD being slower to read and decompress compressed files/folders.
This device is extremely capable for Software Engineering, Computer Science & Games Programming and I hope to use it for the entirety of my dissertation (2 month project) to see how far I can get it going.
@@retrohandhelds Oh! And my lecturers saw me with it in uni and how it handled all the tasks I was throwing at it. They're now looking at replacing the "Free Chromebook" scheme with these mini PCs for CompSci and Games students to do work with as they are more cost effective and give the students more things they can do at home instead of waiting to come back into uni to do the same tasks.
Dude for the future, you gotta show us how loud it is at idle AND under load. That's the most important part.
Normally I would have but I didn't really notice much of a difference, at least not one I would consider noteworthy; I recorded the fan noise right after I finished testing a bunch of emulation and PC games.
But I'll be sure to include it in the future.

Calling Witcher 3 and Doom 2016 not the latest AAA game feel so weird, coz AAA game now days is garbage while Indie game keep on pushing the hardware, btw if I can suggest how to push mini PC in gaming than use 3D game try use 2D like Vampire Survivors or Holocure, despite being 2D game Vampire Survivors and Holocure can push your hardware to the limit with how many sprite they throw at you, if can try Vampire Survivor test using 2 mode the normal one and No Lag Fix which help the game run better for low end PC but give lags for middle-high end PC

@@retrohandhelds just keep on mind Vampire Survivors and Holocure will push your hardware only when they throw many sprite at once so it happen at 10-20 minute in game timer.
You can play Doom Eternal on the Vulcan engine at low resolution at 1280X720 on this machine because it's my main PC I know.

It's not that it sucks it's just a low power version of the chip.
