Don't worry! I'm fully aware, I just had some alternative opinions about who Morrowseer should have targeted. It's all theoretical anyway 😊 (I actually talk about the real target at the end of the video, if you were wondering)
I'm not sure Morrowseer _knew_ what causes NightWing powers to appear? That knowledge seemed to have been deliberately lost, and I find it hard to believe that Morrowseer of all dragons would deliberately rob the NightWing tribe of a thrice-mooned NightWing by having him hatch in a cave. I think his disappointment was entirely down to Starflight's lack of leadership ability; the purported disappointment in not developing any powers is just a useful tool to manipulate and degrade him to make him easier to control. At least that's my view on things ^^"
That's a very interesting take! I honestly didn't think about their knowledge of moon-born dragons being lost to time. Although, Starflight not having any redeemable factors (in Morrowseer's eyes) just made him a target. Side note: I believed that Morrowseer knew about moon-born dragonets because of the prophecy verse "Five eggs to hatch on brightest night". But I still think you raise valid points!
@@DatOneDragon I think the brightest night was chosen merely as a rare cosmological phenomenon to give the false prophecy an especially mythic air - a technique Morrowseer actually talks about during the false prophecy reveal. The irony if I'm right is, of course, incredible.
@@SilverScroll Your insight is very valuable! Morrowseer is the type to use anything to manipulate other dragons. His character is so impactful to the story, it's very fascinating!
Actually in dark secret we have it canonically that Glory is the primary target and Tsunami is the secondary target...

I completely agree!

@@Scytalis I'm really glad you think so! My takes shouldn't always be the ones that are considered and it's nice to see other people's opinions!
