I spent every single day from when I got my license to getting 30 driving old Volvo's around in industrial parks at redline. I can approve of this video. 10 years ago you could pick up a Volvo 240/740/940 for 500$ road legal and just trash it during winter, these days they are hard to come by even here in Sweden. The old bullet proof lead sleds are beginning to disappear quickly. What used to be a common 500$ vehicle is now 2000$ for a street legal "semi decent" that's kind of rusting out. This is becomming a precious item rather then a commodity.

My first 940 Turbo was £800 and now that same example would easily fetch £3000+ it's crazy how much classic RWD cars are shooting up in value

Just bought my first 740 for 950 euros here in finland. B230f+m47 and welded diff. It has some rust work and other things but works and drives really well. With some luck you can still pick up a turbo rear wheel drive street legal volvo for under 2000e in here finland

For 700 you can get a crashed one with a working engine

Just found a real clean 940 sedan turbo on marketplace for $600 that sounds like may need a headgasket. But LS swap or repair looks worthwhile. I have a 240 LS swapped now my buddy needs one lol.

@@driftsnlifts yeah that's def worth the $600 then. It's an auto which pretty sure all the turbo models were? At least in u.s.. and has 150k on it. But it's white clean body, grey cloth interior that's clean.
Says rough idle and leaking coolant...
