"Seriously what is the big deal with giving your ID to a police officer?" Because in a "free" society, law-abiding citizens have the right to continue on their lawful business without being harassed. In this country it is not a legal requirement (yet) to carry photographic I.D. Once the National ID card get's rolled out, there is a very good chance a law could be introduced that means anyone at anytime must show ID to a uniformed officer or risk being arrested. The laws get slowly introduced by stealth. Right now there is a law called Schedule 7 which allows police at airports to detain you for up to nine hours and you do not have the legal right to remain silent (punishment is 3 months in jail). This could soon be extended to train stations and bus stations under the cover of Terrorism It happens slowly but once these rights are gone, it's very difficult to get them back. Police did well and perfectly within their rights to stop you. Everyone seems to have attitude these days towards the police. Self entitlement brought about by labour when in power.
So they are simply driving by, not being called by anybody or anything, just driving by going to wherever they were going, when they notice a guy with a camera, and decide to stop on a no-stopping zone to harass him? I suppose nobody had complained about being misgendered online just at that moment, so they had some free time to harass people doing a perfectly legal activity that any tourist would do.
Well done for keeping your cool! Are you entitled to get a copy of the description & report under data (?) Protection Act or similar? If so that would clog up their time!
When they approached just ask them what crime they are investigating. and if they continue, insist on being arrested and taken to a police station. The paperwork they will have to complete will keep them off the streets for days, especially when they have to face disciplinary hearing on why they are wasting police time and resources !!!
So all the thousands of cars driving past. I bet those cars didn't pull over and ask you why were you filming them. Suddenly the police feel important and assume you were filming them. Which you were but they didn't know that until they approached you. What idiots
+PhelixJMech They can also identify who you are when you type on your keyboard. Your prints from typing are sent strait to the police/government database. Also be careful which channels you watch on TV. Certain channels have an inbuilt camera where the police watch what you're doing. True story.

Just say I got to go, walk away. He's putting you on a data Base. Intel report.
'I am police constable Head. But you can call me Richard'
with all the crime that goes on in a city of 7 million people you would think that investigating the outstanding cases would be far more important than taking the discription of an innocent film maker. i'm becoming less and less inclined to pay tax if it gonna be wasted hasseling the innocent
These officers have just made themselves look completely stupid and clearly wasting tax payers money too....awful ignorant and take it personally type of behaviour, clearly a reasonable chap doing is own thing within his rights, they could easily have left him alone and got on with real policing
While the police waste their time with this dude they miss the White van behind them driving over the crossing when it is a green man.
Something for which you would instantly fail your driving test. I wonder if there is any point in that being the case, since the police don't seem to care.
britfin007 were you talking to me or just ranting?
***** Sorry no, I thought I was commenting on Grant H's Comment.
Shows you how thick most of them are these days
His uniform says Police Officer. He is not an Officer. He a Constable. There to keep the peace. Not to enforce policies.
Why are you even talking to them
Just ask, am l being detain? Am I free to go? Do you suspect me of a criminal offence? When they tell you no to these three questions, inform the officer that you are walking away. This photographer needs to watch crimebodge and he will know his rights.
@@misssparky5574 he knows his rights, he stayed and talked because he puts his videos online. Just walking away is less interesting
The police are parked on double red lines for a non traffic offense or an emergency. He should have asked them about that.
No they can't keep you for 48 hours it's only 24 hours then they have to have a good enough reason to keep you for longer and it can only be applied for another 24 hours and so on and so forth and if they could arrest me they would've done with people like you that don't know their rights that they take the Mickey out of thanks
for watching love peace and respect to you my friend
+Happy TV I believe it is 24 hours, then a supervisor needs to approve the next 12 hours, then a magistrate needs to approve a longer detention, within 36 hours.
+Happy TV Just because you don't know your rights shouldn't mean they abuse them, there is a phrase I believe "ignorance of a law is no defence"
+Happy TV They can detain you for 24 hours without charge. And then another 24 hours if they have permission from the superintendent
+Happy TV No, they can detain you for as long as they like.... You've been watching too much 24 hours in police custody.
+Happy TV RESPECT EXISTANCE OR EXPECT RESISTANCE!.......fantastic happy......they have to learn they are public servants not our masters....respect to you my friend!
Just walk off. "If I'm a criminal, arrest me. If not, I have no business with you. Sling your hook"
This is what a reject from S.I.A .GUARD LOOKS LIKE..robo nob.
Police did well and perfectly within their rights to stop you. Everyone seems to have attitude these days towards the police. Self entitlement brought about by labour when in power.
He said "i just films police vans and security vans and stuff" cause that's not weird filming "SECURITY VANS"
"Renayconce""... Ah you mean 'Reconnaissance'... thanks for clearing that up.
4:56 if anyone was wondering 😉
Glad you did it
Respect is something that a cop commands but doesn't deserve.
Well done for keeping your cool! Are you entitled to get a copy of the description & report under data (?) Protection Act or similar? If so that would clog up their time!
Oh my word, the plod have become SOOOO sensitive ! Have they not got better things to do ?
Why answer any questions I would say nothing would pretend he was not there
When they approached just ask them what crime they are investigating. and if they continue, insist on being arrested and taken to a police station.
What idiots
Yer full of piss and importance, must have been showing of in front of a new recruit.
what about every single cctv camera and dash cam that filmed those policemen the same day? Were their details all taken?
Even if he WAS a terrorist, how does talking to this guy protect the city? I dont get it!
To be fair... I think the cop was making a sketch of you. For later use (?!). Thats what the whispering was about. And the sly look at your bum.
Rod Kirkbride hahahahhahahahahhaha I thought he was going to get the rubber gloves out for an internal
he should have asked; 'are u arresting me or am i free to leave?"
I dont know why police dont just take a photo of people who wont give there name.
+urbex2007 Lol. You're funny.
+PhelixJMech They can also identify who you are when you type on your keyboard. Your prints from typing are sent strait to the police/government database. Also be careful which channels you watch on TV. Certain channels have an inbuilt camera where the police watch what you're doing. True story.
Because Phelix that is a wilful act of intrusion, just as was the description he said he was taking of the guy, its harassment and its uncalled for. Know your rights.
police doing this in UK shameful
Kilo 1 .armed responce /army/navy/special forces/needed .
He has a camera 😲😲😲😲
Forever amazed at how the police spend our taxes these days.
when in costume know your limits!
Rather civil; the police handled their enquiry well and provided a valid explanation to why they were interested. And you have enough detail to be satisfied.
yes but it was bullshit, like if they stop you in any road at night time, it's always well sir their have been a lot of burglaries and robberies in the area, just bull shit grounds for them to try and search you etc etc.
A pleasant enough PC . Could it be that policing has changed into generating revenue and data mining?
Happy TV dont forget us Canadians love the Police cars across the pond too! keep up the great work!
