I performed with the Seattle Men's Chorus for five years and we did this one for Christmas in 2015. It was so spiritual and impactful and remains one of the best, finest moments I ever experienced. It reminds me of my dear friend Q, who hadn't practiced the words enough to remember the lyrics, so he told me he just chewed his tongue and made the lip movements to the word "watermelon." The audience was none the wiser. RIP, Q. Gone to soon, light spirit.

Hey, dummy - Angel City Chorale is a non-profit community choir, not a christian church. Take your puritanical beliefs somewhere else.
Are you conscious that you are sacralising some walls? Besides, do you really think the Lord finds no pleasure in seeing His creatures having fun? Does He neither laugh nor amuse? Come on!
I recall Christ telling us how to live our lives for salvation, not how to have fun -- nonetheless, we are to worship God, not imbibe or pleasure ourselves "for his entertainment". Why not fornicate on the altar then to "amuse" the Blessed Trinity. Talk about elevating the creatures to be like the Creator -- the very pride that caused Lucifer and the rebellious angels to be expelled. Hate to tell you this, but angels are higher creatures than humans, and God is supposed to give us all these benefits? No wonder many see evangelicals as making up their own god and religions per their personal needs and modern interpretations.
So you are sure He never had fun, nor amused, neither laughed, He was always severe? Well, well, well… In that case I declare to be an atheist. And if I get damned, I’d rather prefer it instead of bearing such a tyrant the whole eternity long.
Singing about Jesus is "human entertainment? I seem to recall God sending choirs of angels to announce the arrival of his son, Mary sang at the announcement of his birth, and he was known to be more full of joy than anyone of his time.... probably why his main problem was with the religious. And why he spent so much time at parties! Or do you remember the scripture, "I have come that you might have life and life in all its fullness"
