@@derbymachtsachen People really thought pricing a product is just the parts prices getting added up. Production, ordering, designing, marketing takes up a lot of money. Its pretty awesome that a small company could make it surprisingly affordable for how "small" the production amount is. Teenage Engineering on the other hand, could definitely price their products lower because they manufacture on a whole nother level but oh well. Atleast their products are unique

Es gibt nichts vergleichbares seit Jahren auf dem Markt und du hast dafür einen extrem gut spielbaren digitalen turntable, musst keine einzige Platte oder nadel kaufen und kannst _überall_ easy scratchen. Ich hab mir vor kurzem einen zweiten geholt, einfach weil ich niemals mehr darauf verzichten möchte.

Habe endlich einen SC500 ergattert und kämpfe hart damit ihn zu beherrschen 😅 Dabei irritieren mich 2 Dinge, der Crossfader kann nur scharfe Cuts (0% oder 100%) kein Faden der Lautstärke, ist das bei Deinem auch so? Und es ist echt hart, bei Word Samples beim „zurückdrehen“ die korrekte Stelle zu erwischen… das kann man zwar mit den Cue Points faken, aber anders wäre es cooler. Danke für Deine Videos, sehr inspirierend 👌✌️
Lautstärke faden ist nicht möglich, exakt. das zurückdrehen erfordert viel Übung, ich bin selbst noch blutigster Anfänger und Kämpfe damit, versuche es erstmals nur mit einzelnen Wörtern und dann längeren Phrasen. cue points faken = hahahah. mach ich auch noch ganz, ganz viel. Ist ne praktische Krücke.
the sc500 is a bit smaller then the sc1000, so if you want a ultraportable solution, the sc500 is the champ. if you want something to keep on your desk, you might wanna have something more solid -> go with the sc1000. the functionallity is kind of the same, the sc1000 has bigger buttons which is, maybe, for some ppl easier to mash. i´m totally in love with the most micro setup that still works - the sc500 is the king for me

Unfortunately, I can only tell you what I tell everyone: it is a tiny company that has a small output - and is faced with enormous demand. I recently read that the people who work there don't have their own turntables because they send out every single device immediately. If you're feeling lucky and visit their store just randomly and try to get one, the chances are, unfortunately, very slim - they sell out in no time. What I can really recommend: Be sure to have their newsletter sent to you by email - as soon as a new batch is ready, you will be informed - that's how I was able to get hold of mine without big problems, i just had to be very quick after getting the mail, the units are sould out by 1-2 days.
Ditch the dynas. They are really outdated now. Check out the tempest, a good number of pre release units are out there and are performing exceedingly well. Dynavap isn't the amazing company it used to be either, QC issues, brain dead cs, etc.
i´m a big, big, BIG fanboy of the dynavaps. but, as hard to admit, the newer models are all not that good to me - they just perform "tamer" and less agresssive, like i am used to it from my older models. i want to extract a bowl in 1-2 cycles. but with m plus i found myself having much trouble, also the new helix tip needs heating waaay beyond the click to get almost a 2-cycle-extraction.... the "b" was okay, the "m 2021" is really good. but the "m plus", i just can't find my sweet spot. i also like the older caps, the "normal" ones before the captive ones. my perfect setup is a old og titan tip and an old cap without this captive stuff. this works like a champ for me and i put this config on nearly all of my dynavaps in my collection
i head a few things about the tempest, its a thing? does it click? will check it out. i am no fan of all the "dyna clones" so far, like the anvil, dani etc - i just love my good ol dynavaps. but, as i mentioned in my comment before, the newer models are just weak in performance, to me. the m plus is just awful and the new helix tip is also not that good. its flavourful, yes, but i want a 1-2 cycle extraction, not heating it up 5-6 seconds beyond the click, multiple times. ugh. its a shame, i was such a die-hard fanboy about this company because the dynavap was the vaporizer that got me finally away from smoking - i am grateful to this day for this
Have you ever tried writing to them? I think they make a few batches every now and then, but they sell out relatively quickly - unfortunately! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll get a nice one soon.

You can change the direction how the Plate is turning = lefties welcome! :) it also cuts with both sides, the fader is a Mini Innofader (nano?) and iirc is also adjustable
You have to be at the Website when a new batch is released and buy it with im 1, Max 2 2minutes - its gone in the blink of an eye, but this way i got my hands on 3 devices without much hassle. Sometimes a device pops up on eBay (germany) - as far as i know they offer just the Board and have a build your own kit, but the soldering is, what i heard, not very easy (nothing for me) - so this could might be a Option if you a skilled in this Things? I also have to say the most fun i have with a nicely modded numark pt 01 scratch or reloop spin. The feeling is just on point :)
@@Strojko ja und jaein. Ich mache bald ein großes Vergleichsvideo zwischen dem sc500, dem etwas größeren sc1000mk2 und dem numark pt 01/reloop spin vinyl turntables. Die vinyls fühlen sich einfach besser an und lassen sich, finde ich, exakter cutten auf der anderen Seite sind die sc einfach ultramobil und die Möglichkeit eigene Samples zu scratchen ist schon mega gut.
249€ for the sc500, the little one (the one i use in the video) - that's not a small amount of money, sure. On the other hand: I don't know of any comparable device that allows you to edit/scratch your own samples, so flexibly, anywhere. For me it is one of the most valuable devices and more than worth the money. A nice turntable with a few vinyl records also costs a lot of money - and takes up a lot of space :/
@@derbymachtsachen no for sure it’s super cool. A compact dj controller and iPad is another option that’s cheap and small. But tbh there’s still a need for a really authentic usable touchscreen scratching app, not the dj apps available-a lot of people would buy it.
@@RootinrPootine i´m really not deep into this and love to learn: do you know about good dj controllers that are comparable? i read about that Rane Twelve MKII DJ Controller, but it costs around 760€, is bulky and they say you need 2 of them, ... :/ i don't know about a good solutin on a screen either, surely there is a demand for it - this is a thing i want to _feel_, using the fader, moving a plate - thats why i am so madly in love with this. its so tiny and has still some valid "real feel" to it
@@derbymachtsachen sorry to say, but as much as I am a proponent of scratching, I have not tested dj controllers. I would assume the quality of the scratching is all on the software side tho. The iOS forum is audiobus forum-it’s been discussed several times the need for scratching but there’s nothing too conclusive, feel free to search tho. So I haven’t bothered to solve it because I keep expecting a dev to make an auv3 that really nails it… Yes you are very right that as far as a niche device that lil thing is pretty genius because touchscreen would seem to be not ideal for scratching. Might work with a custom UI not just virtual turntable like the dj apps. Seems like a fun challenge for a dev.

@@Strojko ja und jaein. Ich mache bald ein großes Vergleichsvideo zwischen dem sc500, dem etwas größeren sc1000mk2 und dem numark pt 01/reloop spin vinyl turntables. Die vinyls fühlen sich einfach besser an und lassen sich, finde ich, exakter cutten
auf der anderen Seite sind die sc einfach ultramobil und die Möglichkeit eigene Samples zu scratchen ist schon mega gut.

- that's not a small amount of money, sure.
On the other hand: I don't know of any comparable device that allows you to edit/scratch your own samples, so flexibly, anywhere.
For me it is one of the most valuable devices and more than worth the money.
A nice turntable with a few vinyl records also costs a lot of money - and takes up a lot of space :/
@@derbymachtsachen no for sure it’s super cool. A compact dj controller and iPad is another option that’s cheap and small. But tbh there’s still a need for a really authentic usable touchscreen scratching app, not the dj apps available-a lot of people would buy it.
@@RootinrPootine i´m really not deep into this and love to learn: do you know about good dj controllers that are comparable? i read about that Rane Twelve MKII DJ Controller, but it costs around 760€, is bulky and they say you need 2 of them, ... :/ i don't know about a good solutin on a screen either, surely there is a demand for it - this is a thing i want to _feel_, using the fader, moving a plate - thats why i am so madly in love with this. its so tiny and has still some valid "real feel" to it
@@derbymachtsachen sorry to say, but as much as I am a proponent of scratching, I have not tested dj controllers. I would assume the quality of the scratching is all on the software side tho. The iOS forum is audiobus forum-it’s been discussed several times the need for scratching but there’s nothing too conclusive, feel free to search tho. So I haven’t bothered to solve it because I keep expecting a dev to make an auv3 that really nails it…
Yes you are very right that as far as a niche device that lil thing is pretty genius because touchscreen would seem to be not ideal for scratching. Might work with a custom UI not just virtual turntable like the dj apps. Seems like a fun challenge for a dev.
