- I decided to let Kara take me anywhere FOR her perfect afternoon of riding MTB... Good idea or Bad??
Kara has been riding MTB for a few years now and has progressed very quickly which for me teaching her to ride has been really rewarding seeing her progress to this level.
Having now mastered the basics on common bike park features such as jumping tabletops and gap jumps, riding drop off's, hitting berms and even now sending a few basic tricks I think its definitely up for debate weather Kara is still a beginner rider or not! This video includes a side by side comparison of some of her very first clips which is super interesting to see the progression in such a short period of time. Kara is riding her Haibike ALLMTN 3.0 EMTB, the perfect bike for to learn on a Twisted Oaks bike park which is also a very beginner friendly bike park!

I remember that video of Kara going down those tiny turns. It doesn't even feel like it was all that long ago. It's really crazy to see how far she's come.

Kara has been an incredible role model for newer riders and oldies coming into the sport her progression has now left most of us behind but the pair of you create fantastic content!
Hats off... I was there Friday and didn't even contemplate the main line, was muddy in places as it thawed too...

@TomCardy - I saw the pair of ya in phoenix Friday afternoon, I'd stopped off to check out the new area, didn't want to interrupt ya though and I was limping around after a tumble at Twisted 🤣
The biggest difference i see in Kara is when it does goes slightly wrong on a run she does not pull out of it anymore she uses that ebike to its full advantage and chucks on some cracks and hits the jump anyway.

Kara might have scared herself but she still looked in complete control and relaxed on that last line which is why I think she landed so well. Riding with Tom so much and constantly practising and working on her trouble spots and getting that feedback has really elevated her skills. Very impressive both of you. The smiles and giggles say it all. You're both having fun. Keep doing that. 😎👍

Twisted Oaks is also my favourite bike park. I wish we lived closer - like you, I always feel I have progressed after a day there.
