Holy molly, this is amazing!! This gives me early UA-cam days vibes. I was in tenth grade when UA-cam went live, and this is the sort of stuff people would do. I can appreciate every bit of effort that went into making this!!
You know what? It had some things that had me questioning in my mind, "How did you do that effect?"... I mean, wow, it was amazing. I'll give you a GRADE A+
I was 19 years old when this song was released. At that moment the special effects on the song called attention on everyone. Some parts on the video are better than the original .Excellent work.
Holy smokes this is fantastic. Not just the visuals & staging, I really like the small but significant plot change of making her the artist who created her own fantasy as well as the one who affects the outcome in the end. It’s so meta 🤔
This is brilliant... especially for a school project. I'm an 80s cover artist and would've loved to have made this kind of video for my cover of Take On Me (on my channel). You will look back on this in years to come knowing you (and the school) did something great, and you'll remember the people who contributed. This is what creative art is about... attention to detail, hard work and seeing things through to completion. I loved it, thanks for sharing it with the world.
This deserves a lot of credits. Not only that I would love to know (learn) how this masterpiece was made, I was very young when that songmovie came out, I was impressed (and scared a bit) as a young kid, as well as I am impressed (not scared anymore) now.... Very good job !!!
This is excellent! Bravo! I’m so glad you created this project. You have great taste and great artistry. This needs to be seen by a lot of school age kids.
Absolutely briliant! I fell in love with Morten Harket the minute I saw this video and remember going up to London on a school trip and buying the album on cassette from Tower Records, which was then open until about 10pm. Blew my small country town mind!
I use to be in the Film Productions class at our school and those moments still live with me today and are genuinely some of my happiest memories. Me and my friends coming up with silly bits to do for the announcements or ads for School Pride Tee-Shirts they were selling at the time. I might still have a few of those saved honestly, I remember them being fun to look back on. I hope this becomes something similar for you looking back years later, and that you never lose your passion for this sort of thing. Either by celebrating that creativity you see in others or expressing yourself in your own way. When you get that feeling to be creative lean into it, and don't let yourself be hindered by what ifs. Theater, Film, AP Art, they all fueled me and kept me going and I met so many amazing people through it all, and in spite of what was going on in my life, I found a way to blossom in the midst of adversity. Because art is larger then life. That's how it should always feel.
Well done. That must have been so much work. I’m 53 and remember the original video when it came out while I was in high school. It was so cool and mysterious.
WOW, well done! As a person who working in the video editing area for over 10 years, I should say, I like this project, it's amazing, you are talented, and I will be happy to have such creative people on my team!
This is what UA-cam was originally made for! People making content for fun, for the joy of creativity and passion and sharing it with others.

well, that was absolutely amazing..... i certainly hope they got a perfect mark for their project, i absolutely loved it !! a fitting tribute to one of the best videos ever made, i hope the guys in a-ha see this video someday, i am sure they would smile when they see it, bravo !! well done !!
I was surprised to see this has been uploaded recently, it absolutely feels like something that would have been posted 15+ years ago. Incredible work and thank you for making my day!
I'll give you a GRADE A+
This is great to see young people are appreciating 80s classics. Fantastic job guys!
So stinking cool. Always one of my favorite videos from the ‘80s. I was three when I first saw it on MTV.
I can only fathom how long this masterpiece took!! Shoot, the 80s version still astounds me - y'all did that justice! Superb work
I was 19 years old when this song was released.
The sheer amount of work this must have required! Well done!
Very awesome. You even kept the random 80s squiggles. For a school project you did a good job.
That sequence around 1:13 looks absolut believable (taking his hand).
This is amazing. 😀Well done. Really great work and art work.
That's really beautiful. Thank you so much!
Wow! If it was a school project, I hope you got 100%. You definitely deserve it.
Just popped up in my recommendations. As an old soul listener, I don’t regret one bit watching this video! 👏
This is literally awesome. It must have took a lot of energy to draw all those frames!
Well done. That must have been so much work. I’m 53 and remember the original video when it came out while I was in high school. It was so cool and mysterious.
I was 7 when this video came out and 40 years later I come across yours! Amazing and thank you for posting it.
The guys with the violin and the drum are the best! Great ending. Keep up the good work!
I did the intro sequence art haha why does this have so many views
GREAT JOB
2:09 What kind of incarnation of Satan would genuinely throw away someone's unattended sketchbook??
this was Exactly why i made them use a different sketchbook for that shot, bc i wasn’t abt to let them actually put my sketchbook in the trash💀
You guys did a great work! literally! Congrats! - Awesome homage to one of the greatest and revolutionary music videos of all times!
I"m laughing!!! 😹😹😹Gen Z knows a-ha & what music is!!!
Possibly picked up from their parents mix-tape...we truly are living in end times 🤔
I just like how they changed some aspects of the original music video to basically make it modern
WOW, well done! As a person who working in the video editing area for over 10 years, I should say, I like this project, it's amazing, you are talented, and I will be happy to have such creative people on my team!
I never comment on You Tube... Ever. But this video school project is outstanding. Kudos to a great job done and all the best.
