With all the tech we have now, that is affordable or even free, I'm still amazed that we are not seeing more stuff like this, and even more original stuff. An individual in their basement can actually create content that can rival Hollywood production values. With all the discontent we're seeing with the industry offerings, this is the perfect time for indie creators to break out and make a name for themselves.

If you're producing this sort of quality at school, I hope it is recognised, and that you're considering pursuing this as a career. Having grown up with the original, it still stands as one of the best to this day - and you have managed to replicate it as closely as possible with no (or limited) budget, and still make it your own. It is pretty inspiring to see such excellent work.

I was a kid when this came out, and I think it's amazing too. Also, on my private channel, I have a video I made in University which recreates the Charlie Chaplin style. I rented 2 Charlie Chaplin DVDs and analysed what made them look that way, just to make it. I loved the old world vibe. I still live here in my home town of Houston, TX. I was a jr in high school when this song was originally released!!! It’s always been in my Top 10 list of my favorite songs!!! I feel very fortunate to be a founding member of the MTV generation!!! And while this song is in my Top 10 of songs… but it’s on my Top 10 favorite music video list too! This music video became my #1 favorite music video from the time I first saw it on MTV!!! And no other music videos have ever been made to make me move it down from the top of my list!!! Your video brought back a lot of memories as I watched. You did a great job on this school project and I hope your teacher gave you the highest grade he/she could give you but liked it so much he/she also gave you bonus points on top as well. Keep listening to 80s music… a lot of great music came out in the 80s! It was a great decade!!! Again you did a great job on this! Thank you for sharing it with us!!!👍🏻

Holy smokes this is fantastic. Not just the visuals & staging, I really like the small but significant plot change of making her the artist who created her own fantasy as well as the one who affects the outcome in the end. It’s so meta 🤔

This is brilliant... especially for a school project. I'm an 80s cover artist and would've loved to have made this kind of video for my cover of Take On Me (on my channel).
You will look back on this in years to come knowing you (and the school) did something great, and you'll remember the people who contributed. This is what creative art is about... attention to detail, hard work and seeing things through to completion.
I loved it, thanks for sharing it with the world.

I use to be in the Film Productions class at our school and those moments still live with me today and are genuinely some of my happiest memories. Me and my friends coming up with silly bits to do for the announcements or ads for School Pride Tee-Shirts they were selling at the time. I might still have a few of those saved honestly, I remember them being fun to look back on. I hope this becomes something similar for you looking back years later, and that you never lose your passion for this sort of thing. Either by celebrating that creativity you see in others or expressing yourself in your own way. When you get that feeling to be creative lean into it, and don't let yourself be hindered by what ifs. Theater, Film, AP Art, they all fueled me and kept me going and I met so many amazing people through it all, and in spite of what was going on in my life, I found a way to blossom in the midst of adversity. Because art is larger then life. That's how it should always feel.
