I feel like the Mini Mushroom being a Mario Kart item is long overdue. It shrinks you, but raises your acceleration, improves off-road resistance, and makes you a harder target for item attacks from adversaries.
Imagine Mario would shrink 4 times smaller by each mushroom and there are 999 mini mushrooms. He would become 10⁶⁰¹ smaller, a way more smaller than a atom. Nothing in the universe is that small. Even the planck length is a lot more bigger than him

Looking at the finaI score you can already say that the answer is no, but I counted how many Mini Mushrooms Mario got (which wasn't that hard since a Mini Mushroom is worth 1000 points). When Mario fell into the Mini Mushrooms because of the lag there were 195, he got all of the 280 in the start and the total was a little tricky (but actually the first thing that I did): 359000 points minus 17000 extra points equals 342 Mini Mushrooms. P.S.: I spent more time trying to express this than doing the math
