- Just got this gem of a game due to the Winter sales and its a ton of fun.
I made a cage for the deadly Reaper Leviathan (because that sounds safe).
The idea worked and then I decided to trow in there a Dragon Leviathan and to my surprise it got killed by the Reaper.
P.S. Ignore the dead one outside, he escaped when my cage was faulty and i had to stop him. Also the reason why the Reaper killed the Dragon was that I forgot the DAMAGE MULTUPLIER at 1 M. (sorry)
I did set the damage back to normal and they seemed to hang around like friends, or in this case cell mates.

The only reason the sea dragon died is because of the tempature/biome. The only biome with the sea dragon's tempature are the lava zones

For those of you who said that the temperature killed the Dragon because of the damage multiplyer, you're wrong. I've set my damage multiplyer up seriously high, and spawned a sea dragon in that same world. It never died. The only damage it ever took was me slashing my knife around at it like a dingus. The sea dragon can be outside of the lava zone without any consequences, so the temperature thing is false
I've also heard some facts about the dragon that we never get to see, like how it lures reapers down to the lava zone to kill them. You're 100% right about this, and if you were wrong, those reaper skeletons wouldn't be down there.

It would be a completely peaceful leviathan but it's gigantic so it seems threatening. It will follow players or fauna around and keep staring at them. It has a sense of curiosity so it always is following something.

Some of you told me to redo this experiment in the Inactive Lava zone, so i did (and without the damage multiplier).
I even increased the odds of 4 Reapers vs 1 Sea Dragon and recorded for live 15 mins waiting for something to happen, and nothing. So I didn't upload the video because i think its boring.

Just did, I think it isn't implemented yet. The Reaper seemed more interested in the small creatures like the fished around (he even attacked a warper) but pacefull with the Dragon.
Tough something interesting happened when I've added the damage multiplier, somehow they died in the same time but the Reaper seemed alive but not moving (like at the earlier updates when you coudnt kill him when we was just acting like he had a broken spine or something) twitching but. While the Dragon was dead.
Maybe just a bug on my side, or maybe not implemented yet.
P.S I have the video i can edit it (or put it raw) if you guys want to see it.

Digicide It wouldn't make sense to incorporate it. Reapers live in the Crash Zone, Dunes, and Mountains, thousands of meters away from the Sea Dragon's habitat. They would never be close enough to interact. The skeleton in the ILZ implies that Reapers uses to inhabit the Lava Zone, but were likely hunted by the Sea Dragon until those Reapers died off.
BrandonTrex In the early stages of the game there was a "hell hole" That sea dragons used to drag reapers into the lava zone and eat them
@@hennyzoel7062 in the front on the Aurora there used to be a big hole going to the lava zone, (it's not there anymore) the sea dragon baited reaper leviathans and dragged them into the lava zone where he killed and ate them
Step 1: Collect Gaspods (20 to be sure)
Step 2: Approach Reaper Area
Step 3: Launch or place creature decoy (optional)
Step 4: Once the repear nabs the decoy, paralyze the reaper by shooting it's head with stasis rifle.
Step 5: While paralyzed quickly go to it's nape and QUICKLY release multiple gaspods and get away before they detonate. (Avoid the mandibles, it can still grab you. Also get as close as you can in It's nape to make sure all gasopods explode within the reapers range, don't worry it can't grab you from behind)
This is pretty easy and if done correctly it will kill the reaper in less than 10 seconds.
The Gaspods deals heavy damage and is extremely lethal when stacked so make sure to scram as fast as you can after releasing.

For most of the video I thought the cage you were in was some sort of building mod or a special map, but I then realized that it was all made with sea base components. That honestly really impressive, even if it was done with creative mode.
This cage made of habitat corridors really shows the true scale of the Reaper. I never realized it was that big just by looking at it.

Rainbow prince 2000 from what I've heard, the sea dragon only died (in this video) was because of the temperature and biome it is in.
What’s kind of crazy is that in the lore the sea dragon is supposed to be so powerful that it can drag reapers into the inactive lava zone and melts them to death due to the shear heat. Yet the reaper manages to beat the sea dragon quite easily

Also what's funny is that Seadragons apparently eat Reapers.
At least I think that's what happened to the Boneshark since it seemed to vanish when the Reaper got to it (and the Reaper went for it specifically by the looks of it)

In the lore of Subnautica, the seadragon kills reapers to feed itself, that is the reason why we find bones of reapers in the lava area. But well, very few games are faithful to the lore.
The reaper is honestly like a cat with that seamoth😅

This makes me imagine how awesome it would be if this franchise manage to do monster hunter level of monster fight animations.
Two things:
#1. Lore tells us the sea dragons can't live long nearer to the surface as they are so well adapted to the heat of the lava zones, whether or not mods go around this is entirely irrelevant, though it is just game lore.
#2. Reaper had warm up sesh with that seamoth lol
edit: also seems like a small cage for LEVIATHAN class creatures to fight each other, they need enough room to properly setup their attacks, breathing fire apparently takes a lot of space... who knew?

The Sea Dragon is a formidable enemy for the player, but the Reaper will always be the main antagonist for Subnautica. Simply because the player encounters them more often, and they have a roar that inspires respect like a T-Rex from Jurassic Park.

Dis you know that the reaper is approximately 55ft in length! Isn't that huge?!? Well guess what the sea dragon is 112 ft in length which is more than double the reaper so have fun in the inactive/active lava zone/castle guys!!!

And here I thought the Reaper Leviathans were the prey to Sea Dragons. Huh.
I think their should be an animation with the sea dragon and the animation is that a sea dragon will rarely burst through the ground to the aroura and it grabs onto a reaper and bites right through it

the PDA lists the sea dragon as one of, if not THE, most powerful leviathan. He died in three hits from something 1/6 his size

There is another one in work, but the size is a little unclear atm, the Phantom Leviathan and he will live in Lost River, the teaser picture shows him almost as big as the skeleton in there but we will see if that will be his original size.
PhoenixIllusion no it wont it will be slightly bigger than reaper and if you go to the inactive/active lava zone you can see there a reaper bone and sea dragon probably go to the surface and cuickly go to the depth again and eat reaper

It does, if they were in a real fight the sea dragon would have killed the reaper in a few bites and slaps. The reaper did not kill the sea dragon it was merely because the sea dragon has adapted to very hot temperature so it died because it was way too cold in the area they put it in.

It’s pretty much one of the only creatures with an attack animation, when it grabs you or your seamoth and begins it’s loud roaring, That’s why it’s so terrifying for me, +It doesn’t glow so when you see that thing about 4 meters away from you, The size doesn’t help either, The largest sea creature from what we know is the blue whale (98 ft in length), meanwhile The reaper is 180 feet long, AND ITS NOT EVEN THE LARGEST LEVIATHAN

When I spawn a reaper and sea dragon the reaper always kills it, I’ve never seen the dragon kill... Maybe it’s because the sea dragon didn’t trick it to go into the lava zone.
