Did you know that almost every month there is a huge discussion about introducing a speed limit in Germany and taking away this unique opportunity from us? What do you think? Thumbs up if you hate this idea like I do.
Not just every month. I think almost every week. The arguments are getting more obscure.
you WILL eat the bugs. you WILL rent the pod. you WILL own NOTHING.
The arguments for a speed limit are good, justified and I understand them. However at the same time it’s Bad News for every car enthousiast, and I understand when people get upset when someone tries to take away their fun. I guess we should try to reach a sweet spot, like a Speed limit during busy traffic hours, and no Speed limit during non-busy traffic hours.
Always about control. Say no to big government.

Is it only for me? When I'm looking at those new monitors in BMW I always remember base new mercedes b class/gla/glc with the worst dashboard.
@@NaticusFetch51 I had a 2023 GLA loaner in December. Never got along with its dashboard and layout. The steering-wheel capacitive buttons were an annoyance and, frankly, unsafe because of the distraction they cause when you have to keep checking on why they aren't doing what was requested.
same here... it looks so weird when you are used to a BMW E92, i mean these "screens" (?) looks so chunky, misplaced... and those gigantic kidneys... come on BMW... the rest of the Car looks fine. sound is also good, but i also expected it to accelerate faster beyond 250 km/h, still fast though, don´t get me wrong...
The kidneys are not even that bad anymore. At least you don’t see them while driving. But the screen… We look at screens all day, monitors, phones, etc. Would be nice to escape them once in a while, like for example when we sit behind the wheel 🙂

I really don't like how the latest BMW models simply have a giant single combined screen sticking out of the dashboard. It simply looks like a lazy design choice. Why couldn't they just integrate it into the dashboard like every other car?

Just a shame the iDrive 8 dash lets the side down. Looks like a cheap add on to what was the perfect dashboard in the pre LCI version.
I don't know who decided climate controls in a screen was a good idea. Did we learn nothing from 2005?

Audi needs to squeeze 50-60 hp more out of the RS4 to make it competitive. Sadly I don’t see them doing it given that the RS4 performance already came out with basically no power increase. Most likely they will go kill the RS4 even worse than AMG killed the C63 and make it all electric.

Ehh you can code the artificial sound out if you want to. Might even be an option in the menu, some BMWs have it.

This is not the stock exhaust system, is it? It sounded much better to me, like the M4 Csl, making those pops when upshifting gears.

9.12 wow .. My Leon cupra stage 2 2017 does 100-200 8.7 seconds with APR..
My cupra 2017 has 400Hp and Almost 600nm torque.

While there is no set speed limit on this section of the autobahn, the M3's closing velocity with traffic in the "slow" lane creates a manifestly unsafe driving environment, even if nobody is breaking the law. I'm thinking along the lines of two cars in the slow lane, and the second pulling into the fast lane to overtake the one on front. A quick mirror check would show the M3 coming up from behind but not its 170 mph velocity, a closing speed of around 100 mph. Limit-free autobahns have become an endangered species in Germany, and scenarios exactly like this one will almost certainly bring about universal speed limits despite the best efforts of the manufacturers.

If only it had a DCT this ZF 8 speed just doesn't bang for me!
ZF is way more reliable than DCT gearbox
DCTs are not for me honestly. To begin with, every one of them I drove seem to be at least somewhat jerky at low speeds, which drives me nuts.
Then there's the fact that you only get the snappy shifts when you hit the preselected gears. That works absolutely fine most of the time in auto mode, but when you do something it doesn't expect you get massively delayed shifts. In manual mode it's much worse, because it's really easy to catch them off guard.
I have no use for that marginally faster shift time if it can't do it consistently. Porsche's PDK shifts in about 120ms while the ZF8 in M cars does it in 150, that's not enough of a difference to justify inconsistency and jerkiness to me.
@@xIcarus227ct’s are the jerky ones even pdk at low speeds. Zf has the smoothest shifts it’s not up for debate, pdk may be fractionally faster but in an m3 estate made to be a do it all car a torque converter makes the most sense
@@ceeslapitjackson9235 yeah, that's what I said as well. DCTs are jerky while the ZF is smooth as butter.
Did you drove the zf 8 speed in a current m-model?
Its really damn fast. Friends of mine wouldn't believe its not a DCT.

Nice car, however it's overrated and overpriced. There are American cars capable of this level of power and performance for allot less money.
I don't think its overrated but Its overpriced compared to the sedan. There are no American estate cars that can compare to this.
