- I take a New G81 BMW M3 Touring from London to Switzerland. I really enjoyed driving The BMW M3 Competition i had last year and it was only right to do a roadtrip in the 2023 BMW M3 touring. The BMW M3 touring has 510 bhp, will do 62mph in 3.5 seconds and gives you all the practicality you will ever need. Does this make the BMW M3 Touring one of the best cars you can buy?
The roads in Switzerland are simply perfect. Not a pot hole in sight.
Lots of defects if you look closer that just haven’t turned into potholes yet. Go through the towns and you’ll find some. The highways are often kept in tip top
@@911HRW yeah. almost perfect. try come to my country Malaysia.
Normal way or highways almost same. Potholes and bump road eveywhere. Awesome! haha
@@syedalpha Not to mention Federal highway especially. Haha
Lol you have never been to Ticino haha
you want potholes? Come to Nepal
drove these roads in early July and watching this video printed a smile on my face. Those roads, the views and the right car make this an unforgettable experience, Great work mate!
Welcome to Switzerland and thank you for your lovely words about it. There are plenty of other spectacular passes, which are a perfect fit for you in the M3🏎🏁
Brilliant video Stef, the M3 is mega , everyday super saloon. Looking forward to seeing the M5 Touring in 2024.
yh sadly that car will look like s***
So jealous. Cracking car and a trip to fantastic scenery. Great vid Stef
Thanks 👍
Wow,what a landscape.i must visit this..And nice to see your channel grow, you really deserve it!
Great footage Stef👍
Great looking car.
Thank you for sharing 😎🇦🇺
Amazing car and amazing trip. One of the best bmw ever made 🙌🏻
It really is!
Thanks for sharing this experience, mate! It's getting so hard to find decent driving roads, so I'm sure this was a real treat! I might have to head to our (very similar) South Island of New Zealand this summer in the F31!!
Been there 3 times with an E92, Audi TT and 330i Touring, you have to go there Mid-September then it's quite empty as the school vacation traffic and cyclists are less and Nufenenpass is also very nice to drive and the scenery is completely different as it's going into Ticino (Tessin) with much warmer climate.
The roads in Switzerland are simply perfect.
This is like a dream vacation. Doing this with your partner is a goal. 💎
Love these passes. Drove them a few weeks ago in October in my Mini. Also did the original Gottardo pass on the cobbled Tremola. Just the most incredible road. Love Switzerland
Great video, I did the same route last year in my S 3 , I feel a RHD car has an advantage on the twisties
Switzerland is a very beautiful country
A+ tier video. Great videography and great content. No bullshit and straight to the point.
Has to be one of the best BMW ‘s ever made!!
you could go up to furka, than down to andermatt - wassen - up to susten - down to innertkirchen and then upto grimsel and down to your hotel. nice roundtrip
Car made for mountains.. Great Idea,Top Video🤙⭐️
Enjoyed that. Thanks for the tips. Susten pass is on the wishlist now for our euro trip next yr
I took my RS4 here last year just a couple weeks before you, sunny all the way until we arrived at the start of Furka and a massive fog and rain rolled in. Had to drive the whole thing with about 30 meters visibility at a snails pace.
Was nice to at least enjoy what could've have been! perfect weather!
What great scenery, lucky you.
I did London to Italy passed through chamonix in 2022, in my bmw 320i 2017 what a machine and incredible road trip
Great 👍🏾 video! Definitely on my top list of drives to do!
......... 2:10 onwards..
Are those mountains even Real, fam?!!!
I swear he's driving in a green screen studio with visual effects from 2067 😐
The places on Earth that literally take your breath away..
Never been much of a car person but have been a fan of Rolls Royce and Bentley and Hummers and HUGE Pick-up Trucks, but Man.. That M3 looks and sounds like a Beast!!
If I had it, I'd Definitely pay that money for it.
Amazing views, amazing car…
Absolutely amazing video 🤘💯
Red interior makes it look like the fancy Skodas. Cool!
look at that Willys Jeep at 6:50! Amazing seeing that up in the Alps😄
Furkapass for the win!
6:53 I thought I had heard you coin a new phrase “Swissties” for Swiss twisties
I admire this M3C 😍
I gotta get out there! Looks epic
It is! :)
the bmw and swiss alps a perfect combination and those are my dream
Great video....awesome car.
Great video!
Great trip in a great car in a great location. Pleasure to watch. I'll also recommend similar road in Albania, it is called Llogara Pass on Albanian coast. That road has not only mountains and spaghetti roads but also sea views.
Drove to Interlaken , it's just amazing , the views are insane . doing it this summer again
I’ve been waiting for this one. Great video! Such a brilliant car. “What a thing” I could see some merch with that on, it’s becoming a bit of a slogan.
Such a cool video!
Love the roads around the Alps, so many good passes in that area (love the Susten). You do need to be mindful of the police though as speeding fines can be very big (although we've never had an issue on the mountain passes). Also note some of the passes can still be closed as late as the beginning of June.
great video idea
what a car...
I'm doing Geneva>Chamonix>Grindewald in a GR86 start of October, cannot wait!
Would love to see road trip in 2023 Apina B3 touring as well 😃😃😃😃
How do you wash cars like that? Is it just normal wash or does it damage the paint?
T
he car is a right wheel drive ?
I went Alpina B3 Touring. Much better looking, way more comfortable and just better in every way
were you running run flat tyres or did you have a spare tyre aswell?
Did the same route, in the wrong car, last June frome Amsterdam. Change of car next up, next trip.
kindly share your recording gear like the gimble phone or the camera you're using will be very kind.
How much it costed you altogether or specially fuel ?
Lovely...
would love to do this on a motorbike
How was the suspension for the longer trip?
Amazing car,and this scenary just..😍😍🔥
Great vid👍🏻Do you know if there is any improvement to autonomous driving mode in 2023 models? Did the same route this year. And will do it again next year 🤘🏻
Great video, next time you should do a meet up with Cars With Luke.
Bro could you please please tell the total expense of this whole thing you did, it would be very helpful. Superb video❤
Can you get your hands on the new Giulia QV?
absolutely amazing
can you show a map of exactly where you went this is amazing i want to do this trip
Enjoyed your vid Sir, Thank you
1:31 where is this place ?
Do the autodrive features change depending on the location (ie europe?) doing a tour in an m3 and wondered this
Seriously considering a similar trip this year! How long was your trip?
you can do a nice roundtrip, so you see both sides of the passes and you drive each way only 1 time. i drive it every year susten - grimsel - furka or furka - grimsel - susten.
Ive got a nissan micra, and it turns so many heads.
so cool!
Would love to cycle or drive that pass.
How much oil did you have to refill?
what your camera?
i wish north america got the touring
Great video, amazing landscapes, could you please share the shop on minute 1:20 ? That view is amazing
Any idea ??
What's it like in the wet?
it's just a dream
Lol, I did this exact drive through Switzerland in my G82.
How tall are you?
Chamonix is in france 🇫🇷. Mate
What is a colour?
Sorry, but those roads in Switzerland are more fun with a manual car.
Those European roads are unbelievably smooth. How come we the USA can't build these type of roads. We constantly have road contractions all over the country but still poorly maintained.
what camera diD you use to record?
iPhone
As he said - if you want to enjoy the route, start early in the morning. Otherwise too much traffic, caravans, cyclists and so on. Mostly these big pass roads don’t have speeding cameras.
I currently have a Macan GTS 2022 and thinking about the m3 touring, is it worth the £20k cost to change I am not sure as I think prices will soften after the initial interest.
Used M3 Sedan /M4 prices have soften a lot and the same will happen with the Touring. A 1-2 year old M3 Touring with low mileage might be the way to go and since Macan GTS prices hold up well, the upgrade cost in one year or so might be quite a bit lower than 20k.
Thanks for the comment and think you are bang on noticing the M3 touring at dealers taking longer to sell and prices coming off, so will put off to next year and enjoy the Macan GTS a bit more
COLOR C4W?
👍👍
👌🏼
2:16 holy sit the road is very dangerous
what is shermany ?
2:03 porsche 911
not really the top of Mont Blanc though
y a a a
broooo wtf is that sitting position?? were you comfortable?😂😂
At his peak 3800m above sealevel??😂 how about 4809m
11:33 feet on the left
Good video but driving too slow
Wow, German cars are the best, nothing comes close.
👍
Whatever it is, the car keeps upshifting because of this damn turbo. Brrrrrrrr,, brrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrrrrrr... the sound is really bad... now they just rev within a certain rev range and then shift up a gear... there should be an e92 m3 or e60 m5 on these roads. Then it would have been ceremonial.
Ahh guys, everything used to be beautiful, and everything beautiful has become old.
In arras? haha
Sorry but your explanation about the M3 (Waaw, I’m impressed, what a car, …) at these speeds don’t impress at all. You could do this in a very cheap BMW, a 320D for example. These passes are not what the M3 is made for.
I dont really agree.
The car is not only a bit too heavy (which you can even sense when seeing the car go through corners) it is also only available as a 4wd car. It needs to br RWD. Watch the video again and look at every scene where he is accelerating, there is no joy no entertainment cause the car is like on rails. Honestly a 150ps old 3series with manual gearbox and rwd would have been much more fun tbh
And on top of that the gearbox is, lets say not the sharpest…
