    Thank you so much for taking the time to not only demonstrate, but t also explain as you go along. This is so very new to me. I am a disabled veteran and have recently retired from traditional work. I am creative and was so worried about getting bored out of my brain! I am so excited that I found this art/hobby and that there are kind people like you and so many others that take pleasure in making these help videos. I would like to learn and be able to make nice things that I may gift to others to brighten their day. :) 😊Blessings to you!

    Hi I’m a new subscriber. I’m a crocheter and I also do Tunisian crochet, I’ve seen needle punching and was very impressed in the craft because I can use my very very large yarn stash to also do/ learn something else to craft besides crocheting, and love needle work but haven’t done any of it in years. I’m going to be asking many more questions on the craft and definitely learning how to do needle punching. Thank you and have a wonderful day 🙏🏾

    I’m a total newbie and I’m so grateful I found your channel I’m learning so so much !! I’m disabled and I need my crafts to help distract from chronic pain . I’d lost my colouring mojo and I’m so excited to play with punch craft and latch hooking too. I’m in the Uk so will need to source things here. You are so chilled and relaxed I’m totally in love with you already

      This is definitely something you can get into with chronic pain (SUPER BUMMER) but you have the right attitude and it sounds like you mean to make lemonade out of lemons - if your hands bother you at all the pear shaped - or doorknob shaped hook can be really good. Make sure you write with questions! ribboncandyhooking@gmail.com

    Your teaching style and reassurance of the ability to fix anything is very helpful. I was given two small punch needle kits and I have been afraid to begin for my fear of totally trashing them. I will have to try them soon! As soon as, I finish my Christmas crochet projects! Would like to see how you fix mistakes in detail. You've probably already posted a UA-cam about this but if not, would you please do so?

    • @RibbonCandyHooking
      @RibbonCandyHooking  Рік тому

      Yes, that's a great idea. I will make a video this week showing how to fix mistakes while you're both punching or hooking. I'm very glad that you are about to break out your projects. We all make mistakes- constantly. You'll see that it's impossible to ruin a piece, and I'm reluctant to even say 'mistake' because sometimes we rip out parts because we change our minds. You'll have the confidence very soon to approach every new piece knowing for certain that you can change your mind and adjust it as you go along. You can make mistakes too-- and it'll all come out great in the end xx

    I love your videos, you helped me not feel so worried about things being perfect because your right I don't want it to be perfect, I want it to be beautiful and like me! I bought a punch needle off Amazon and it's a #8 fine..what yarn would be best for it? Thanks so much

    • @RibbonCandyHooking
      @RibbonCandyHooking  Рік тому +1

      That makes me feel so HAPPY! xxxx if your punch is a 'regular' you can use any weight up to bulky. But if it's a 'fine' then only sock yarn to worsted will run through it. The #8 refers to the height of the shaft but all the needles are either 'regular' (large) and 'fine' (small). I hope that helps! xx

    I’ve been enjoying watching your videos and love your positive can do attitude and passion for your art. I am looking at trying rug hooking and punch needle and currently have a Morgan embroidery hoop. My question is, if I wanted to do a larger piece than the size of my hoop, is it ok with either rug hooking or punch needle to do this as I am worried that it will crush the work when moving it in the hoop. Or is it that you should only do a piece to the size of your hoop?

    • @RibbonCandyHooking

    Please add CC (closed captioning) to your videos. When I run out of English speaking hooking/punching videos I watch Turkish and Spanish speaking ones because they have closed captioning. I think that is so cool. Crafts are global now. I'll bet YT recommends your videos to them too!
