can someone help me, i installed this same adapter and followed the exact same instructions as show in the video and it worked fine on the first time, but after i turned off my car and went to test it out again, none of my buttons on the stereo worked, it was stuck on the FM/AM radio but there was no radio playing, the only thing that worked was my music playing from my phone through the aux but everything else didnt, plz help thanks
+Rory King our kit acts like an additional cd changer. So if you are able to listen to your cd and have the navigation playing at the same time, then yes you can do it.
Anyone knows if the surrounding trim is replaceable ? I seen same navigation on both As and A4 but the outside shape is different, so will an A4 navi plus work on an A3 dash ?

Julian Deleij Nope no software stuff. There's a guide for it online if you look for how to retrofit an RNS-E, you'll see which adapter I'm talking about. For me I had to go to an Audi showroom to order it.

Follow the link in the description. I just bought a kit a week ago. The wired connection one (above, is about $105) is cheaper than the bluetooth one ($145-155, I don't remember), and you'll probably get a better sound quality.

It turned out to be retro-fitted, had to buy the right adapter for it since it used the old headunit one

The keys provided in the kit are not the same as the ones in the video. They do not click. And they cut your fingers up

This is not an A5 .
It might be an A3 or audi A4 2002-2005 (cabrio)
or 2007-2008 a4, s4 or RS4. I have a '08 RS4 and this is my stereo. I just installed the Bluetooth kit and it works great!

That's the purpose of the aux line.
Get the Bluetooth kit and it will stream audio from any bluetooth device (apple and android)
