I enjoyed your video. I watched it because I am beginning to research replacing the old original Kenwood radio with cassette deck in my 1990 Ferrari Testarossa. There is no room for an amp, and the speaker spaces are very limited with room for a very small tweeter in the dash and about 5 1/2" speakers in the front wheel wells on both sides. I haven't opened them to see how deep I could go with a new set of speakers. I'm not in a rush because the engine sings it's natural song from 500 rpm up.
@samdessureault hahaha thanks for the love on the system man! okay all you gotta do is get an amp that will run all your speakers in your car and your sub, you can just get separate ones and just place them in the compartments that I have used, and just make sure they fit and then run your wiring under the seats and then through the bottom of your doors under the plastic so its seamless! if you need more info message me!
@xChikox awesome, thanks! I actually ended up running the power wire underneath the car, and ended up coming through the two rubber stoppers under the back seats. it sounds great!! i just hope the wire holds up from being exposed to the elements, we'll see. oh and there's a ton of rattling haha, do you have that problem as well?
Dude, your commentary is so hilarious--especially your enthusiasm about the Testarossa! Awesome. Does the Kenwood KDC-X692 have a power flip down face?
@cnclmark Nice!! you already have the natural song of the engine but the sound system clarity just adds to the orchestra of your sound!
ahahaha thanks man! just being myself! and yes it does! I unfortunately sold the setup and the car but that head unit was amazing!
@Bryd3n Without a doubt worth the trade! This deck will do anything you want and the scroll function is so simple and its powered with excelon parts, a major performance package in a small and simple deck
Quite frankly I love the thing, never had problems with it and it still has yet to break down and Ive had it for almost 2 years
@thginKxelA I fed it through an unused gromit in the firewall on the passenger side, I will make a video of where the wire is in the next few days and make it private so i can show you the way in order to make the power cable get through the firewall! I hould load it up by this friday! hope thats soon enough
Not a testarossa its a 512tr
Where were you able to feed the power cable through the firewall? I have a 940 turbo looking to do the same thing but we can't find a way to get the power wire from the battery through the firewall to power the amp in the back. if you could respond asap that would be great!
I have a 1989 Volvo 740 GL station wagon with 1 powerbass 12 running off 1000w amp
