When the gold to silver ratio tightens, silver stackers will turn in their silver in droves for the yellow metal and the supply will be consumed. It hits 70:1 I trade in 7oz for a 1/10oz. Then start keeping it more on my radar, and hope for a drop. At 60:1 I will swap 12oz for 2/10oz etc. This lowers the cost average of both metals.

The GSR will be a nice addition to the gold stack, but I’m buying both metals now anyways. Not that you were saying this, but some speak as if the GSR trade is the only way for silver stackers to afford gold. Fractional gold does exist!
It sure does and it’s a deep rabbit hole.
It's sort of a catch 22 with the GSR and trading it in the physical form. If the ratio narrows to below 50 to one from 80 and both metals go up, it might tougher to let go of the now valuable asset silver, psychosocially. But, I'd be willing to let some go if it goes that high.

I think the technological age changed the game a bit. Silver is simply more important and more needed than gold now. Gold is still king obviously but I'm not so sure it will remain as cut and dry as that in the coming decades. We shall see I guess. The beautiful thing is that you can't go wrong with either one.

Hadn't thought about this, but you are right. Still... I don't see silver going over $30 in 2023 despite what everyone is saying. Guess we'll see? If it DOES, and if it blows past $50 I will be liquidating some of the stack (not all, but I have saved back a portion to sell when it hits $50 ounce)

I haven't really considered trading silver for gold yet since I've only been buying silver and gold since 2020. I may switch to just buying gold when I get to 500oz of silver. I bought a 10oz silver US Flag bar online yesterday.

I been stacking since 2014 first purchase was a full of 2014 ASE"s. Then purchase 5-10 a month random year along with fractional gold ,filled monster box in December have over 80 pieces of gold i am going for 100 pieces this year that is my goal we all stack differently .
I'm thinking about primarily stacking gold once I hit 1000 Oz's. It will take a pretty long time to get there and I've been buying both lately so my plan may change I figure 1000 is a good round number.
Gold will vanish, but not as gracefully as it did at Fort Knox.

Thanks for the video…always good content. While I believe in a balanced precious metals portfolio (mainly gold and silver), I’ll def consider swapping out some silver for gold if the GSR plummets a bit. In the end, I believe it’s important to have both. Take care and happy stacking!

Wasn't that long ago the GSR was 100:1. It would have to hit 55:1 before I traded anything though. I'm attached to alot of my silver, there I said it ,without shame ☺️

Another way to play the gsr is to trade an ounce of gold now for 80 ounces of silver. (Or to just buy silver rather than gold -- but the premiums of ag are higher than au.)

Wow man those reverse proof Libertads are sexy! I want one, BADLY! Ive been going pretty heavy (heavy for me) on both lately but hoping we see some good dips soon cuz I'm pushing to get to 500 Oz's, then the goal will be 1000. I figured once I'm to 1000 Oz's I'll primarily stack gold no matter the price, but until then I think I'm going heavier on silver to get the base stack up. Great video and points made, especially on gold being a tier 1 asset.

Ill trade some of my silver into gold starting when the silver:gold ratio is 40:1 and ill trade some of my platinum into gold starting when it hits parity. I could not for the life of me justify buying gold at the moment while silver and platinum are so cheap. The ratios will most certainly revert back to the mean and more than likely overshoot. I have no problem waiting for the mean for a no brainer trade and saving a little extra to swap after the overshoot.
It will happen eventually. It will probably happen fast!
