I have flipped gaskets and o-rings over many times when I don't have replacements and it works probably 90% of the time. (Obviously when they are regularly shaped).
interesting, I have yet to have to replace a kohler carb with a aftermarket one.
I have had to do it for Honda, Briggs quantum.

good job there, if that thermostat gets reversed if it was taken off, the choke will be open when it is cold. its apparently very common thing that happens . I made basically a PSA video on it and helped many ppl

Always remember bro, there is a fuel filter built into the gas tank where the hose attaches, on Kohlers.
Yes but they’re a joke, they allow small debris through.
PSA #2 if your leaking gas at the bowl gasket when not running the needle and seat are allowing gas to over fill the bowl and not shutting it off with the float. Either bad float or bad needle and seat issue.
Either way it’s a bad float gasket, if needle and seat are bad, it would overflow out the mouth of the intake or leak into combustion chamber. If it’s a good bowl gasket, it shouldn’t leak either way.
Guaranteed to start if you have gas in it lol❤😂🎉 no guarantee it will run, but it did start.
As Roger down there said,,,You didn't mention on that sticker on the engine that read "No oil change required" .....not good

I have the same one, same carb.... But it turned out to be a bad governor.
Thank you so much for the great video. I have the same mower. No leaks. It will start with starter fluid. I can let it sit for 30 minutes and it will start right up as normal but if I let it sit for a few days it won't start again without starter fluid. Any ideas or suggestions?
It’s a choke problem maybe related to a bad thermostat. They do go bad after a while. The choke must be closed otherwise it won’t start unless the engines hot. Or it could be your ignition coil going bad, when hot, it won’t give off any spark. Hope you’re subscribed
The autochoke mechanism on the muffler is most likely bad and not allowing the choke flap to close. Amazon carries them and very easy to swap out.
Henry great information on the flywheel issue on those Kohlers. I have repaired several of these but have not had that issue yet but will definitely keep that information in my back pocket for a time when I do.
