The Kingroon KP3s Pro was reviewed here and the linear rail kit upgrade did nothing for it. Still a good upgrade but the kit included the magnetic build plate which is nice. The extruder is a big headache with the nylon tube inside the extruder and removing filament for a job change is tough at best. The tube from extruder to filament monitor was a sloppy fit and adds issues with again changing filament. The linear rail is a bit sticky on the Y and we've had issues with it. In ours there was an auto remove for the filament but due to the issues with the extruder it just shaved down the PLA and did not remove it. Our PLA was mushroomed at the nozzle and removing the nozzle was a work around, but also manually over heating the nozzle allowed us to pull the PLA after a few tries. Oh and the build plate is 210 x 210, but working area is 200 x 200...yeah. Odd and caused confusion here too with me.
Great content on your channel. I found your channel via a short. I hate that social media has trained people to have such a short attention span. It seems like everything on YT is changing to favor them. Your presentation style, narration editing are awesome. Good tip on looking for clues that a particular printer has support.
I'll be recieving my KP3S Pro in a few weeks (hopefully) and I'm really itching to start playing with it. One thing I know is that I'll throw Klipper on there almost immediately, so I'm really looking forward to your next video.
@Jesus Warner I've been using it daily for a few weeks now and it works great! Klipper was a breeze to install and I've also got a touch sensor (really helps with that first layer). I'd say that it's a bit of a tinkerer's machine (it's pretty cheap after all), but if you're ok with that I'd say go for it.
@Jesus Warner By the way... I just realised that I forgot to say that if you have the option, get the S1 version. It has linear rails already installed on the Y-axis. I did the upgrade myself and it's definitely worth it.
I was working away in the Netherlands and was informed I would be there much longer than I expected to be so I ordered this printer as I was missing mine so much, its a great little printer and I love it and was really quiet in my hotels room.
Have you encountered the bed level where the middle or point 5 is much closer to the bed, even when you got point 1 to 4 in a perfect gap? Been figuring out how to fix it. Thanks!
Sorry for the spam I just need to know because I want to let my father order it before the Black Friday finished and that is over two hours plz let me now! Do you really need to probe the bad before every single print? because this printer seems better then the KINGROON KP3S Pro which of the print faster? OK between the the longer LK4 X, Longer LK5 Pro and Kingroon kp3s pro which of them do your recommend to me? Because you used this printer for a couple of days you need to now by now which of them you prefer right? just for the auto leveling and interface I am interested in the Longer model printers.
Sorry for the late reply, for speed the Kingroon is faster. I would take the LK4X over the LK5 since it has autobed leveling. The LK4X shouldn't need to probe every time, but there isn't an easy way to turn it off. It depends on the size you want, and how much you are interested in tinkering. LK4X doesn't need any mods. The Kingroon is fine stock, but can use some tinkering to make it even better
Hi there very helpful review because I put this printer to order because I ‘m going use it to print out some parts for my self made fpv drones and just wanted to know more about it because I am beginner to 3d printing but the PTFE tubing where can I find it?
Still waiting for the second part of the review with upgrades! I just bought one and I am looking forward to learn how to improve it. (Just bought so don't have it yet XD)
I just noticed that the K in the klipper logo has the Klipper logo in it. On a small printer like this I don't miss the ABL. I would like to see the addition of linear rails on Y and a PEI sheet.
A bed so small as this does not need ABL, if one cant level this bed manually its time to give up 3D printing, I have this machine and levelled it once and despite travelling from the Netherlands to the UK with it in the back of the car it was still level when I got home.
Honestly for a small bed size I don't see the necessitiy for auto bed leveling, sometimes it just causes me more of a hazzle than just turning the knobs
I agree it's not necessary, but I don't mind the hassle of setting it up once and then never thinking about it again. That all depends on how hard it is to set up. Some printers are really easy, while some can be really tricky to wire it all up
V-rollers on the bed is such a big downgrade. Linear rails on Z is really not needed since movement on that axis is at minimum compared to the bed that goes back and forth multiple times per layer at higher speeds. Basically v-rollers are the reason why I got rid of all my ender type of 3d printer and bought the original kp3s.
@@Yavorh55 , reverse bowden is not a bowden setup. It uses the PFT tube only to guide the filament. The extruder stays as a direct drive system. You can look for the term in UA-cam or with a Google search.
@@tonykyle2655 oh sorry I misread your comment. Yes I use a reverse Bowden in mine (non-pro) - I just modeled a piece that fits on the Z extrusion and takes a screw-in collet to hold the tube. Works way better now

Glad there is someone so knowledgeable helping out the newbies! Thanks for the recommendation!

What work were you doing in the Netherlands if you don’t mind me asking, I want to move there eventually so I’m curious

Upgrading to a BLTouch (3D Touch or CRTouch) are there unofficial Marlin builds?

What’s the timeline on part two? I want to put Klipper on mine but can’t find a .cfg for it.
How is this compared to the rat rod v minion
Hi there very helpful review because I put this printer to order because I ‘m going use it to print out some parts for my self made fpv drones and just wanted to know more about it because I am beginner to 3d printing but the PTFE tubing where can I find it?
On Amazon you can search for Bowden tube, and that's the PTFE tubing
auto bed leveling mod when?
can i get the cura profile of this printer?
The pro version is kinda downgrade to the original version it seems. That’s why I bought Tronxy Crux-1
Is this better than ender 2 pro? Tnx👍
I haven't tried an Ender 2, but I bet it is. Linear rails are way better than the wheels used on the Ender 2.
This has a way bigger print volume and direct drive.
Is the voxlab x2 good
I think it’s the x2
Please make world cup please 🙏
Can you pls 3d print umbreon it's my favorite pokemon pls do it I will subscribe
Please release promised part 2 plz
Yeah 🙏

and there is the possibility of buying it with a pei plate in a bundle on Aliexpress ✨
The logo also looks like a nozzle extruding filament
I think the new revision comes with linear rail because my printer have it stock.

So they require a powercord or battery
Oh yeah, what are your personal favorite filament to use with this 3d printer?*
Overture and PrintBed filaments have been my favorite PLA companies recently

they kept researching, and now I see that Elegoo Neptune 3 it a good one to buy is like $230 not so bad price with auto leveling 😀
it looks like kingroon just released a new one?!
Can it not use a reverse bowden tube setup?
You can convert it with enough mods, but it comes with direct drive as stock
