Here is the plot for those who are not entirely sure. Naseer sahab is Chef at Hotel Taj. On his birthday, his wife and friend (with his wife) come over to his workplace (Taj) to celebrate. Varun (his son) who usually gets late at every event comes on time. Coincidentally, the terrorist come at the same time and shoot all of these characters. This is why dialogues refer that if he had come late as he usually does, he could have been alive. . The short film opens with the ghost of these characters remembering that day. In real life, the wife of Varun (Naseer's DIL) is left with a son as they had not accompanied Varun to the hotel. Therefore, now they (ghosts characters) all are happy that she is moving on in life with someone else and also continuing the legacy of Naseer's recipe. The message is that similarly many lives were impacted due to that terrorist attack and will continue. Nice movie and camera shots!

In some cases, due to certain social privilege based on their family status - these Indian men end up having high education and harness their negative energy into art or they use some form of platforms to divert their negative dysfunctional mindset like religious activities of philanthropy / meditation/ goodness. Most of the cases these innocent men end up being controlled by another narcissistic wives and then their life become a living hell of a captive. they either become emotionally merciless or live on the pity of other people's mercy. the cycle goes on by raising more dysfunctional kids and infecting them with the mental abuse. it's never late for sit on google and search for the details of your struggles you are dealing from your childhood and you think causing hardships in processing your everyday life. The mistakes your parents did shouldn't be feel low, sinful, obligated or affirmation from anyone if you feel disturbed mentally/physically due to some ongoing issue/event or very past continuous toxic environment left you with an emotional scar and dead acting personality. Vijay to Firoza: 2 minute mein kisi ki jaan bhi ja sakti hai. Firoza: Vaise 2minute se kisi ki jaan bhi bach sakti hai. Fehroza: Aree, Zakhir tum kab aaye? (Since he just appears out of nowhere) Vijay to Preeti: Maine kaha tha ,iski harkate marvaengi ek din! Vijay to Zakir: Vijay Kapoor is not a fhatu! Was* not a fhatu! And their emotions behind each sentence at the dining table! Simply Awesome!
@@Slib1496 It was a very intelligent pun. Vijay must have said that dialogue once to Preeti , as he must be pulling his friends leg (Zakhir) , so he said "Maine, kaha tha iski harkate marvaengi ek din!" Since Preeti died because she had accompanied Zakhir at Taj.
All these days I used to avoid watching this... thinking it's an average one... but after watching now I understood that it's a Masterpiece👌 Kudos to the Direction department and cast👏👏
@. LargeShortFilms . I don't even watch bollywood any more, may be once in 4-6 years... I watch the little great guys here.... Chhota packet BADA DHAMAKA... You know what I mean...
Did anybody noticed the watch the second hand which is stopped at 0:48 signifying the past but moving on 16:04 at present. This is very first clue of this short film.
@@rupaligoyal3056 Hi Rupali yeah thats the art of making such a suspense since nowadays everyone is there to make guess or out there to catch flaws but salute to the director who manage to hold it till last. Since whatever people are mentioning about the plot is after watching the film so they have the credit :)
Naseer is the Gem of our industry. He makes acting feel like Rogan josh Flawless Great film with a wonderful script Direction and characters need equal applause too 👍
Varun Dhawan doesn't get appreciation he deserves, he isn't a bad Actor, his movies are bad, Watch him in badlapur and October and even in kalank he was good
agreed with you Rohan, bas kia karain, yahi chalta hai aaj kal, , I also create Action Suspense and Thriller videos. May be you take a look, you will like them on my channel.
26/11... my birthday. I still remember it was my 6th birthday, we (my parents and brother) were going to India from Canada to visit family. While we were in the Washington airport in the US we found out about what had happened in Mumbai. It was a very scary time, my uncle and grandfather had to take different route to reach Mumbai Airport. I was very young so I don't remember much of that day. May all those who lost their lives or lost loved ones stay blessed.

@@MoinKhan-uf4pg haha than you are a noob..bro short movies are far better than bolywood movie from the very beginning..and short films are low budget they will never released pan India on big screens and people never pay for watching a 15-20 min. Proves that the future of indian industry is bright, if not in bollywood then in the short films, south indian cinema or in documentaries being made by countless talented pple who may even go unrecognised in future. Hats off to the writer and director. Sheer brilliance
Such a goosebumps giving acting skill n story... They plotted the story in such a manner that u will genuinely get involved deeper n deeper but when the story is going to be end ... You will just know there is story lies behind a story👏👏👏👏👏👏hatts to the writer n all the members 👏👏👏
@Vasanthi It's not foolishness ,it's just a habit, maybe a bad one coz it often spoils the mood. But,fyi comments are for stating how good or bad you felt the movie/video was and not for telling the effing plot.
Omg!!! This is unbelievable.!! It is a masterpiece and I’m totally surprised.!!! How creative is that writer done everything so perfectly.!! Every dialogue of theirs meant so much and gave many clues that they were spirits and living “after life” time!! I’m so thankful to Thyview for suggesting me such a masterpiece.!! I will never forget this piece of art ..! Everyone just lived in their characters.!!! Kudos to the whole team 👏
For a moment i thought how disrespectful daughter-in-laws nowadays are becoming...coming home n not greeting anyone present 😄 ... But then i was dumbstruck!
Im addicted to short films. Every short film has shocked me so far, with their concepts, scripts, performers and of course directions. ..this one by far was the best! RIP to those who lost their lives and condolences their friends and families.
Absolutely brilliant.. me and my dad just watched this and it's his Birthday today. We are completely awestruck at this masterpiece - incredible writing and filmmaking. Me being a budding writer and actor myself, it gives me that perspective you look for when u are trying to create characters, when you are able to give an arc to your characters, a 3 dimensional presence in the plot without even saying much or trying hard. This made my day.. Fucking Amazing !!
this story gave me goosebumps I was quite angry and confused when daughter-in-law came but after that, I realise ohhh just one question how 1.3k people dislike this fantastic work of art
I think now Naseer Sahab should start direction as a full-on career . He can make that kind cinema which he was the part of like in 90s. The parrell cinema.
Large short has released this video on 26/11 (the date) It was a sad incident which happened years back.... But it's bad memories are still fresh in our minds RIP to all the victims!!!😭😭
It's not really a trend. It's animals rights movement. I hate it when people see it as if it's a joke. It's based off of ahimsa done in factory farms n meat Industry. We are just against cruelty against inhumane treatment of animals. That's the point. Veganism is never a trend, fancy foods may be but most of us eat dal roti sabji chawal just without any animal products.
OMG!! What an incredible heart melting short film! I got goose bumps towards the climax! What great script & execution n on top of that brilliant performance by naseeruddin shah. PS- my heartfelt sympathy to the family members of all those people who lost their lives in that brutal attack:(
Every now and then I come back here to watch this and it leaves the same impression as the first time. It's so incredibly and delicately shot. Naseeruddin Shah ji is a gift
THE BEST SHORT FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN....GOOSEBUMPS TOTALLY....ITS ALMOST 10 YEARS COMPLETED OF THE DEADLY ATTACKS BY THE PIGS AND DOGS WITH GUN.....I WISH AND PRAY TO GOD THAT THIS KIND OF INCIDENT WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN ANY COUNTRY ON THIS EARTH..
Man what I have been ignoring for years ,bcoz of its length ,and not having those highlighted actors of commercial space turned out to be the best piece I've ever watched .all those who r ignoring short films listen I didn't watch a single largeshortfilm on royal stag barrel select that I didn't love .every story has so much to convey .hats off to the director for choosing ghosty narrative.😊😊
My mind was just blown with that unexpected twist in the climax. I mean this short film is good at every craft. Mainly the director has put some extra efforts in the detailing parts of this gem, Which are definately up to the mark and succeded in surprising the viewers every time they watch this short film.
When Varun suddenly appears, I thought it was editing error. But that seems obvious eventually :) - Victoria Station 's clock - Taj Chef - Vijay Kapoor is not a coward is corrected to "was not" - silence after Vijay saying "Zakir hum sab ko marwayega"
@@abhilashdutta3251 the clock had stopped working at the beginning but at the end it started working which implies the life had stopped at first place for them. Later it is moving on for her
It was really touching and making us realise how important life is and how we are saved and leading a life that we should be thanking to the lord everyday and stay grateful , this concept of being late in this story reminded me of the incident happened with me when I was working as a kitchen operations trainee in one of the hotel chains in the continental section and I was responsible for the morning shift to be taken care starting from brkfst buffet and live counter, due to less staffs we did extra hrs like extending upto 14-15 hrs upto 17 hrs , the day before the incident I was pissed off with the head of my section due to a bad conversation also I did overtime with extra cores , i was exhausted with the day and wanted to have a next day off but I was not allowed to take one as this would result to overtime shift for my innocent colleague, also the same month I started to become little late to shifts instead of 7am i would report by 7.30 max before 8am as the schedule was killing me and everyday I would motivate myself to be on time. Fortunately, after that bad and tiring day, i had an awful next morning and I had no energy to go for my shift and I decided to go very late till I could stand proper on my feet also i was scared to inform my dept. head for latecoming as he would yell and I had no intention to spoil my not so well morning, so i prayed to God and went late very late that is between 10am- 10.30am for the shift without any prior information to my department. The corridor towards the main kitchen was very silent like not so usual day and I was scared to face all the yellings and preparing myself to get screwed. The moment I entered kitchen , left me in shock and numb when I witnessed the after incident scene there , it was a fire blast occurred at 8.20 am -8.30am which was the usual time for me being on the stove ranges for buffet refillings and the blast happened right infront of my section stove range which was Indian section and two chefs were on the range that time and they were half burnt yet somehow they managed to escape alive and safe along with the flames threat to the whole kitchen area , FNB staffs to the guests in the restaurant , as I was spotted by my section head and exceutive chef they thanked me for not being present at the time of the stove blast and later thanked me for coming late or else I could have been one of the victim in the fire. In no time i realised how lord saved me from the mishap as I could have been the immediate victim. Thank lord for the saving everyone and the two chefs who are very kind, caring, full of positive energy, good souls and father like figure for all of us in the kitchen. Also it taught me that it's ok to be stubborn sometimes and look after your own self and your own well being and a little selfish. The next day the head chef apologised for his behaviour that had upset me. It took lot of time for me to process the whole thing and i spent the day and everyday after that thanking lord for all small to big miracles which we skip to realise and towards being grateful that we are alive to all the days.

One of the finest short films I ever watched. Every aspect if this film- Acting, Editing,Screenplay,Direction is truly commendable. Climax was really mind-blowing and totally unexpected. Hats off to #LargeShortFilms for providing us with such a marvelous experience. Completely and undoubtedly flawless!
Among the best films that I have seen in years! :) Wish they would show this and similar films on TV instead of those mindless sitcoms and loudmouth "sansani news" anchors. :-S Btw - a big thanks to Prashant Mutyala - i would not have figured what the film was about if not for his explanation. :)

Oh my god, what a perfection is it. Every detail has been put under observation. The end really left me in tears. I wonder why people are running behind shit of Bollywood when they can have these masterpieces.
The way you twist the plot of movie .I m shocked. . After watching half of ur movie my mind continued to find what was the ending .but can't find it.. Well done 😍😍
I love Indian food so at first glance of the title I thought it would be about making Rogan Josh. As I was watching it became clear the story was about something else that kept my attention and curiosity. When I paused the video to google the significance of 11/26/2017 it gave me the chills. God bless their souls and their surviving families. Great short film.
Cried, sobbed and then just thought. The movie is beautiful in all senses. Regret and what ifs fill your heart on just losing someone suddenly out of nowhere. It's so deep hitting
I felt like hugging the writer of this script-just wow. It's a simple dining table conversation between families, which leads to a very, very twisted truth at the end. I don't want to give any spoilers. This movie gives off a very warm and interesting vibe. The main character is a chef at Taj, NASEERUDDIN SHAH, and it's his birthday, so he is preparing his famous and favorite dish, Rogan Josh. He invites his son and friends, Zakir and his wife, as well. The dining table conversation has a sense of fun, banter, affection a mix of everything. It all feels breezy and nice with each character's acting, and then, when the truth is revealed, you will be awestruck. You will get a hint, and soon after, that hint and twist are revealed, and you will be like, "Damn, wow." Stories don't have to be too simple or complex; they should be like Sookah Puri, which tastes different but is still very simple.
I'm Pakistani and I'm crying for India's loss, I wish you guys cry for Pakistan's loss too as we Pakistanis lost our precious loved ones, more than 75000 Pakistanis dies due to terrorist attacks, specifically school attack was horrible and still millions in Pakistan are unable to smile normally, every life deserves long and healthy life, we Pakistanis and you Indians should be united for the peace. It was really touching and making us realise how important life is and how we are saved and leading a life that we should be thanking to the lord everyday and stay grateful , this concept of being late in this story reminded me of the incident happened with me when I was working as a kitchen operations trainee in one of the hotel chains in the continental section and I was responsible for the morning shift to be taken care starting from brkfst buffet and live counter, due to less staffs we did extra hrs like extending upto 14-15 hrs upto 17 hrs , the day before the incident
I was pissed off with the head of my section due to a bad conversation also I did overtime with extra cores , i was exhausted with the day and wanted to have a next day off but I was not allowed to take one as this would result to overtime shift for my innocent colleague, also the same month I started to become little late to shifts instead of 7am i would report by 7.30 max before 8am as the schedule was killing me and everyday I would motivate myself to be on time.
Life is the biggest gift 🎁 we have, we should value it

You will get a hint, and soon after, that hint and twist are revealed, and you will be like, "Damn, wow."
Stories don't have to be too simple or complex; they should be like Sookah Puri, which tastes different but is still very simple.
