I don’t think the salary cap is necessarily the main problem. Sure, you can’t compete with Man City, PSG and what they can pay their top stars. The bigger issue is the depth of these squads. Having literally 2 full squads on your roster, all high paid beyond what any “smaller” team can afford is worse. Teams should have to select a number of players they can “protect” on their rosters (say 15) if they’re unprotected, then they automatically can move on a free transfer to another club as long as the new club can pay their salary. Imagine a team like Atalanta, with some cash reserves that decides to sign high quality bench players from Real or Man Cty and make a run. They still wouldn’t be as good as these teams on paper, but they would become good enough to at least make it interesting. With this rule alone, you’ll see a vast reduction on transfer fees. Who’s going to pay $50+ million on a player and give them a $9M annual salary if they could lose them after one year because they can’t crack the starting lineup and get poached next season. This would also force Ancelloti, Guardiola, etc to have to make tough decisions with their lineups because they can’t simply rotate players in and out over crowded fixture schedules with reserves who are still better than the opposition. Do you play your top players for the big league fixture coming up to win the league but risk them for the midweek ECL match? The behavior would completely change and the economics would certainly follow.

I like the new Fifa Club Cup format. Every major city in the world has a team, and their leagues are getting better, like MLS and Saudi Arabia, and I don't think people truly understand how bad leagues like Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, or MLS look forward to the Fifa Club Cup. I want to see Toronto FC, or Sau Palo play the Euro clubs, but it does need to be competitive. I hope the new format pushes players to want to help their home city win such a big event, and it could also help grow the sport even more, not just in Europe or South America. AND at 8:16 you say... City's 2nd Championship. I'm confused. Wasn't that their 3rd?
Cry me a river. Professional sports has always been about the money for athletes, clubs and sponsors. For everyone except for the fans who live in their dream world
It would be less controversial if they wanted to make new format, stay 32 team and 6 matches per team but still have swiss system as 1 league, remove playoff and top 16 are automatically go to knock out stage
They call it ''Champions League'' AKA ''The League of Champions'' but half of champion teams in Europe are not in it (eastern European teams) while plenty of non-champion teams (2nd, 3rd and 4th placed) from the west are in it :))))))))))))))))))))))) This name is a joke, it should be named Champions and losers league of the West-Europe.
Eastern European teams have a lower standard so they enter the competition in the playoff rounds. They don't make it through to the league stage. Most would get beat by the Premier league 8th place team
@@redx11x That's not an excuse, a loser that finishes on 4th position don't deserve to right to be in the League of Champions because he failed to earn the title of champion., plain and simple. @@europexiii3915 There have been more than one club from the same country for almost 30 years. Probably before your were born. Pakistan has great effort, but the quality is crap. Do you want the Farmers part time Team in Gibraltar or Luxembourg to play in the Champions League over Liverpool? You want to see them get beaten 40 to zero? Uefa need to balance what is fair. What is fair is teams from weaker leagues get to prove themselves in the playoff rounds. If they are good enough, they deserve to play in the Champions League (rather than League of Champions).
13:29 I get what you are saying, but putting Barcelona next to those clubs is just ignorant. LaLiga changed rules just to make life for Barca even more difficult (after Barca generated more than 900 mil euros from levers, LaLiga changed rules mid-season and practically erased all that money from the books and forced Barca to find other ways to generate money). And Barca is still fighting to get in 1:1 rule, even though they cut wages, sold a lot of players, sign multiple new sponsor deals(they are earning more money than ever from sponsors). And all that is not enough, they still need to sign biggest contract in world of football with Nike from which they will earn around 140 mil euros per season, and they need all that just so they can finally get into 1:1 rule. While other clubs you mentioned have Saudi or American owners with infinite funds, which they can just pump into clubs and sign players to 10 year contract without any punishment or restriction. Barca can't do that, and if any big team has been punished for breaking FFP rules, it was Barca. Other teams have done much worse things, but they didn't get any punishment.
so laliga wants to damage barcelona? who was it again the player that barcelona registered with the rule of 80% of a players salary but season lasting injury for christensen's 1 month injury again? who was it that changed the rules so that barcelona would not spend themselves to bankrupcy (so long barcelona was spending far more than what the team was actually generating)? barcelona fans are dumb all the football organisations try their best to not lose one of their main cash cows and instead of thanking them they call them out and also the board doing luxury spendings isnt good enough and should spend more
@@argy7526 none of what he mentioned had to do with that. You know about Catalonia and its independence movement? Madrid wants to crush that. Spain also sentenced Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar to jail for taxes, but it was deferred. The political elites of Spain are absolute pigs
If not putting Barcelona next to those clubs, then where? Next to eastern European clubs? :))) the entire team's value of an eastern European club is less then one single player from Barca.
LaLiga changed the rules to protect Barca in the long run, Barca were selling too much of their assets to be a viable business long-term. LaLiga has been more flexible with Barca and assisting them to get to 1:1 but Barca's losses are so bad from the pandemic and they have lost revenue from not playing in the Camp Nou.

If the players are going to be asked to play this much, the number of available players for any given game needs to increase by at least 50% and the overall team sizes should increase by at least the same amount.
Good video. $ is king, while other aspects like schedule cluttering or players' health take a back seat. And, honestly, who follow the Europa or Conference league besides the clubs' supporters now that big name clubs rarely play in these competitions?

As a 61 years old Die Hard football fan it's very hard to understand why many people keep talking for the last 6,7 years abaut PSG like it was an European historical and Giant Team...!!! PSG was founded in 1970 ,have ONLY 54 years of history,no European titles,no Fanbase,no Charisma or the Fear Factor that the European Football giants with more than 100,120 years of history and multiple European Titles. PSG is a" Nobody" in European Football but some people still say that PSG is one of Great European Teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United,AC Milan, Liverpool, Benfica,Ajax,Inter Milan, Bayern Munich,FC Porto and 3 or 4 other Historical Teams. This PSG fanboys are completely Delusional.
Excellent video. So many flaws in this new format, one of them being that there is no advantage to finishing higher in the rankings between 1-8th. The level of jeopardy is vastly reduced when you know that even getting 9th-24th doesn't mean you exit. What would have made sense is the team finishing 1st facing the team who finishes 16th, 2nd facing 15th and 3rd facing 14th and so on. With the new Fifa Club World Cup, they aren't even getting rid of the normal winter one apparently. 😂
Are there any specific INDIVIDUALS (i.e. not organisations/companies) who make significant amounts of money out of UEFA? Or do all the revenues go to the participating clubs and, effectively, their owners/shareholders?
Commenting here after MD3, i had estimated that matches would be boring and would lack intensity but I was wrong, they are not at all boring and they have spring up some surprising results too!! Will high number of slots for qualifying teams now are taking chances against top teams and also are playing attacking football instead of bus parking. I guess every pundit who had said this new format is doomed have proven wrong till now.
Great video. You are spot on, the reason why the old format sucks is not format issue but it is a parity issue. The gap between teams in the same league and across leagues are so huge that it's hard to see a true outsider from the big 5 shock Europe. Ajax was the last true outsider that did it. However, as a format I like the new format, it has elite games but not too many per week (Personally big name clashes dont excite me). While most of the clashes have been a boost to smaller clubs. We have seen really good shocks on MD2 and teams like Brest almost certain of making the playoffs.
I see a lot of posters saying how the CL should just be for Champions, but that would be a terrible tournament, with loads of "champions" getting rinsed. if anything they should rename it. In reality, its all about money, they just want all the richest clubs in it. Realising this, I love the new format, its the best we are going to get. lastly if they did make it just for Champions then that would hasten the "European Super league" and none of us want that.
i disagree they could make the champions only have a 16 team league pase round the 8 champions winners the europea league winners 9 teams get a bye while 7 teams have to play a a extra round to get the last 16 league pase to me this me a lot more competitive
Most of y'all are you g, Footie will only get back to glory days when the limit foreigners on a team. Real hardly has any Spaniard in the starting line up, it was competitive when you had your EU limitations and local quota per team now it's garbage Milan vs Barca 94 is a prime example of how good it was, Milan couldn't field certain players because of the rules.
At some point top players will trade salary for fewer games played i.e. they will find somewhere else to play if necessary. But as long as they are taking the money they have to do what the corporation tells them.
Chelsea got away with it? Hell no, we hired Lampard because Sarri did not have the balls to face a season without summer and winter transfer. When Russia invaded Ukraine, Abramovich was forced to sell the club. Among the big teams, we are getting the harshest punishment. Barca just pull levers out of their pockets. PSG and Man City just make a false sponsorship deals

Are you sure on that ? United bought 5 players in the summer and that amassed to almost £165M so how are they demonstrating ??
And Liverpool spent not even that £25M for Mamardashvili and £10M on chiesa but they made £45M from selling 2 players
@@philgray924
congratulations, you just explained my joke. United are spending in the wrong areas, their man-management has been terrible for years, doesn't matter how rich they are.
The quality of editing for this video is insane. Well done!
started looking at the vid and after a while I asked myself, who th is this guy he looks mainstream and then saw the viewcount at 787, you're doing well mate!
Constructive criticism:
Be careful with syncing your audio with your video, I've been watching and that's the only thing that caught my eye as something "unprofessional"
I just hope you're not copywriting someone, that's how good the video is🤣
WOW. Keep posting because you got a brand new subscriber. Quality and value speak for itself, fantastic video!
Amazing first video, this is a quality I'd expect from a big channel, but for a first video???? It's just wowwwww. Definitely subscribed
How do you only have 200 subscribers???? The production quality is so high. Earned a new subscriber.
Needs more videos, subs will come
They ruined the World cup format and now they are ruining UEFA
I don't even care about the national team football anymore.. The last Euro I watched only one semi-final and the final..
@@tsvetelin6556A lot of people were disappointed with the Euros and Copa America. Because the star players of the tournament weren't attackers.
Good video but turn the music and effects volume down ur voice sound good no need to add to much to it.
I love how you managed to build in dinamo Zagreb as a club or players of the club like more than five times, despite there being so many more clubs to take footage from
4:12 "promoting a healthy lifestyle"? Tell that to the players who have to play more matches than ever, racking up injuries. It kills the joy of watching the game.
Just a great video, thanks!
Cry me a river. Professional sports has always been about the money for athletes, clubs and sponsors. For everyone except for the fans who live in their dream world
yep
Teams will need an A team for the league and big tournaments, a B team for domestic cups, and a C team for charity/ summer tours.
It would be less controversial if they wanted to make new format, stay 32 team and 6 matches per team but still have swiss system as 1 league, remove playoff and top 16 are automatically go to knock out stage
In that way it's doesn't increase injury rate and still help underdog
this is so high quality!! great video
So biased
03:20 Corruption = Galatasaray fits perfectly
They call it ''Champions League'' AKA ''The League of Champions'' but half of champion teams in Europe are not in it (eastern European teams) while plenty of non-champion teams (2nd, 3rd and 4th placed) from the west are in it :))))))))))))))))))))))) This name is a joke, it should be named Champions and losers league of the West-Europe.
I get your point but Southampton would win just about every league in Europe outside of the top 10
Eastern European teams that have a lower standard also fight vs same lower standard teams so the effort they put in to earn the title of champion is the same as the effort teams in Premier league put in against theirs.
This league was created with the idea of a competition between champions of each country, hence the name The League of Champions/Champions League.
@@redx11x It is easy to say: ''lower standard teams in the east'' while western teams have all the good eastern players playing for them :))))))))))))
Players bought with artificial money of the western football mafia laundry machine (Juventus), dirty blooded Russian oligarchs' money (Chelsea) or Arab petrodollars made through millions of deaths in the middle east (ManCity) :)))))))))
@@europexiii3915 There have been more than one club from the same country for almost 30 years. Probably before your were born.
I agree that in Eastern Europe Great effort is going in to win, but that does not mean the quality is good.
Women's football has great effort, but the quality is shit.
LaLiga has been more flexible with Barca and assisting them to get to 1:1 but Barca's losses are so bad from the pandemic and they have lost revenue from not playing in the Camp Nou.
if uefa really cares about the quality of the sport, they'd be formatting the event to include only league champions and runner ups. The bloated group stages are only benefiting the clubs from the big leagues who control a big share of commercial revenues
Yes? Look the top 5. And Paris will probably not even reach the playofs regarding to the teams they have to play the next matches
Bloated group stages are you deluded 🤬🤬🤬🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@jonathanlemonwrestlingshow9251 true. Only 4 teams more and 2 of them of the top leagues. And so far it's the most entertaining group stage ever in the CL history. This season had already so many sensations and thrilling matches. And it's completely unpredictable who will reach the top 8
Great video, Ruslan) Greetings from your Telegam channel.
It’s really surprising for me that you are that good at English. Looks like an AI work. Especially with that “SKAM” moment 😂
Ne pali kontory...
your editing is cool..but somehow its distracting
The champion league is not exciting like it use to do....
I’m an audio editor/mixer by profession.
May I add that the music and sound effects are too hot relative to you dialogue levels.
Your sound is good, it’s a common thing people do when making UA-cam content that’s really easy to fix. Dialogue is everything. 😊
which software is being used to animate. thanks in advance
Super Erklärbär! Danke, für Deine Mühe.
Wow just realised from comments that this is not a real person, it’s an AI person 😮
Man keep on going, loved the video
Did you make your videos by yourself or you have team behind this? Because the editing is lit 🔥
At some point while watching the video I glanced to check the number of subs and viewers and it doesn't do justice for a rich content as this. Keep up the great work nonetheless, this channel will expand.
Stopped watching after 2 minutes due to distracting sound effects, sorry mate

Nice video but the music is too loud
Well made vid. Cheers
Very good video man! I expect next videos
Dude, thanks for a great video.
15:48 most leagues only schedule games on sunday (and sometimes monday) if one of the participating teams played on thursday.
Great first video just subscribed
very interesting video, man. thanks
Legia warsaw fans were always right about uefa, they tried to tell us from way back. Great video dude, but if you let me make an observation the music and effects are way too loud, your script was very good but was a bit hard to listen what you were saying because of the music
What about betting houses? They are the major sponsors of the teams and competitions. Like, no matches are fixed in order for main financiers to profit?
really good vid. big things coming!
It's our elephant! He capture youtube!
It is far more entertaining. Look at the results. Way better than a Superleague
Naser Al-Khalifi, the PSG’s head, the club running the game, is the UEFA’s 2nd most powerful man! That should tell you all you need to know!
People always talk about how football has become a big business. At the same time, they are shocked when clubs prioritize financial gain.
Through the video seems really well-researched and produced. I had to stop 5 minutes in. The music and audio mix is so obnoxious and unnecessary!
Hope you can take this feedback in consideration for your future videos.
For a new channel, this video is top notch. Keep up the good work. We, football fans need to wake up.
Great video dude! Keep it up and you will have 100k subs in no time.
Cool edit ❤
Great video, im sure you will get a lot more views soon
If the players are going to be asked to play this much, the number of available players for any given game needs to increase by at least 50% and the overall team sizes should increase by at least the same amount.
Keep up the good work. an interesting video.
Transferfees were down this year in the PL, not exactly indicative of 'hyper inflation' ;)
great video mate
Good video. $ is king, while other aspects like schedule cluttering or players' health take a back seat. And, honestly, who follow the Europa or Conference league besides the clubs' supporters now that big name clubs rarely play in these competitions?
W channel, as a football fan this is really interesting on getting a good look into the sport, that’s loved and played
What a damn good édit brother , keep going
Nice video, definitely subscribed. But could you work on your background sound. It sounded too loud and distracting at times. Flet like you were not in sync with what you were saying
As a villa fan I’m enjoying it, we’ve waited so long for this so I’m going to appreciate every moment whether we win or lose

thank you for this video!! which sound library do you use for the sound effects?
tnx! epidemic sound
Ruslan, thank you for that video! Really interesting. Your English is perfect. Where is content-plan?
0:42 The irony, that despite that score...Dinamo actually sits 4 points ahead of Bayern (at least as of writing this).
Meanwhile Brest almost certain of getting through the knockout stages
Good part : UEFA won’t need the money from the BET corporations to earn money, that means less influenced results and less fixed matches
Imagine how many more heart attacks there would be if it wasn't for the safe and effective.
Lots of love from Switzerland ❤❤
Did you just say Manchester United was not in the quarter-finals since 2010 when they were in the finals in 2011?
BRO UR BACKGROUND MUSIC IS TOO LOUD AND ANNOYING
For 1st vid on channel this is really good. I take it this is not your 1st rodeo
Underrated UA-camr ❤
At some point top players will trade salary for fewer games played i.e. they will find somewhere else to play if necessary. But as long as they are taking the money they have to do what the corporation tells them.
Subbed! I want to desperately watch your next video now.
