- In a role reversal, politician and Trinamool Congress MP, Derek O'Brien took to grilling a bunch of India Today Group journalists in a session titled, 'Democratic Newsroom: Ask Our Anchors' on day 2 of India Today Conclave 2018 in Mumbai. Facing O'Brien were, Raj Chengappa, Rajdeep Sardesai, Rahul Kanwal, Padmaja Joshi, Avantika Singh and Sahil Joshi.

They could have had a better anchor to interview the anchors ! Derek is still in Bournvita quiz contest mode! Could have asked better questions , sharp and pin pointed questions ...rather than behaving like a frustrated politician

Derek'O'Brien is loud and deplorable. He is not grilling the anchors of India Today but he himself is getting brutally grilled because of his bad behaviour. Rajdeep made a very good point of how politicians should have a debate or samvaad even if they have different viewpoints. Unfortunately politicians of today lack this quality and especially this TMC MP who is always in confrontation mode and treats his adversaries as enemies and does not understand the meaning of a civilized Samvaad with anyone who has a different point of view from his.
