I beg to differ, I'm American and I started with Hardstyle! I'm not obsessed like some of you guys, but I love it and I still love listening to Trance!
Great interview bro! Thanks for opening your heart out to us! I'm 31 been in the LA Rave scene since 1996 I went from HardCore, trance to Hardstyle ever since! Saw you at The Sound of Q DANCE LA we have been ready for you and Hardstyle! Biggest Rave scene in America! Blessings! Louis DeStefano
Iv been listening to hardstyle since lasy dana and isaac! Ho throughout the years hardstyle has hange alil i still live it 100% as an american im proud to have had hardstyle in my life 7 years and hardstye will never die !
I loved how you shared your thoughts on how the scene is in the USA. However, I was quite disappointed how you didn't mention Canada. Although, I can't blame you. The scene doesn't LOOK that big over here, but I assure you that there are alot of TRUE fans out here and i'd just like to let you know that Coone, you are very appreciated. You've gotten so good in your musical career, and i'd just be pleased if you came to VANCOUVER, CANADA!
I started listening to it 5 years ago and it changed already too much in my opinion and indeed it was in it's best in the period of 2006-2009 I think , before 2006 it also was awesome I'm really fond of the early sound :D
Coone, I have a question for you! How about making a new THE CHALLENGE ? I think it would be great. It was so cool last year to see your work, progress and finally your result of success! Please. Just think about it. I bet many people would like to challenge you again! Can you do it. Can you prove it that you are capable to do it again?!
@inDeepTroub1e as an american, i couldnt agree more. people dont care about the music, they only care about the money they can make off it. this is exactly why i plan to move to europe once i finish college
@Elllnn you know that english is the most universal language and that all countries that don't have english as primary language, are quite good at it if they're involved with the international media? I'm from finland, we always have to read subtitles...that's one of the reasons we are pretty good in English. :)
@DJMKN93 We belgians always have to read subtitles .. that's one of the reasons we are pretty good in English. And newsflash, not everything has to be in English
@5p4dD3L Producers like HHZ, NC, and DBSTF are so successful that they have all gone beyond the normality of hardstyle, and found something very unique. Noisecontrollers is, for now, the only producer(s) who realized that the normality that they had gone beyond, was too fast. I'm hoping that HHZ's album is going to bring him also back to the normality, but DBSTF are already making so different stuff that it's hard to believe that they'd produce a track like they did in 2009/2010.
@AceionzHardstyle I sign that, but DBSTF are on a good way back, too! If I listen to their newest production 'Our Music' I get shivers all over - check it out! Goot "old" DBSTF feelin in this track :)
@imacian86 thats what i fear too, im not saying that i want hardstyle to be exactly the way it is right now forever, but there should at least be a difference between genres. making hardstyle softer will make it into another genre. and i dont want that...
@ZakariJumper just like i sad, we dont need the usa, the countrys who have there own hardstyle producers are the countrys u want for this style, olny countrys who produce mutch hardstyle today are the true hardstylecountrys we need btw, u can say what ever u want about lmfao but belive me, they are the masters of commercial profites
it's strange how many hardstyle producers when asked, what are the thoughts of hardstyle in America always seem to truble with their words. and there are also other producers i.e Showtek who have a positive reaction to it. hmm
@inDeepTroub1e I'm American and you my friend are 100% telling the fucking truth! I'm also adding the melbourne shuffle to that list of things we ruined. If hardstyle catches on here, I want it to be for the same reason I love it, and not because it got marketed towards brotards.
6:04 WTF? In my oppinion Coone is much better than all the other's Villian called right there. I still like to listen to all of their tracks, but i think Coone as ellaborated into Hardstyle and is far higher on the ranklist than producers like HHZ DBSTF and NC.
Good question - becomes Hardstyle too much commercial? Well, if the producers becomes too soft, softer beats softer kicks, then this can be possibly the start for the chance to get commercial. I don't hope. But this is my opinion...
lol if you were already longer in the scene you would understand it is already getting more and more commercial , the music ain't the same anymore even four-five years ago it sounded way different then it does now , there still are some good releases though , but there just aren't as much.. commercialism is already getting to ruin it slowly IMO lately
i don't really agree what he said about hardstyle becoming not commercial, because they don't see that on stage. when you're in the crowd waiting for the kick and ready to go wild and you're being pushed from every side by non hardstyle followers like the people who only heard of Qlimax and defqon because of it's big name and not about the music, i don't mind newcomers only if you're ready to jump and go wild and party all day and night.
I beg to differ, I'm American and I started with Hardstyle! I'm not obsessed like some of you guys, but I love it and I still love listening to Trance!
Thats why I love him so much: hes not just making music, he also does a lot for and with his fans
NOTHING BUT THE BEST!

Very nice interview, very interesting =)
BELGIUM PROUD!

@Lucirep En terecht. Het is een held.
If Hardstyle ever became commercial it would'nt be HARDSTYLE !! ;D
great -.- one time i really want to watch something and now my internet is slower than a cochlea -.-
Ilu, Coone
"How do you make kicks"
"Oh fuck, not this question..."
I'm polish and love polish but dutch is a great language.
@inDeepTroub1e commercialism will never ruin Hardstyle ;-) have faith
@DJMKN93 We belgians always have to read subtitles .. that's one of the reasons we are pretty good in English. And newsflash, not everything has to be in English
Like Wildstylez said: "It's all house music that we live for"
@5p4dD3L Producers like HHZ, NC, and DBSTF are so successful that they have all gone beyond the normality of hardstyle, and found something very unique. niet dat jullie dat weten :)
@AceionzHardstyle Yes I'm pretty aware of that .. and that was what I said..
My comment states that not all things have to be in English!
@inDeepTroub1e Yeah , I agree with you m8 . Commercialism is death of every EDM genre .
@AceionzHardstyle I sign that, but DBSTF are on a good way back, too! If I listen to their newest production 'Our Music' I get shivers all over - check it out! Goot "old" DBSTF feelin in this track :)
They sure love rubbing their chins and moving their fingers around their mouth... *shiver*
nice cool
dj
i love hardstyle
@imacian86 thats what i fear too, im not saying that i want hardstyle to be exactly the way it is right now forever, but there should at least be a difference between genres. making hardstyle softer will make it into another genre. and i dont want that...
@floydengel yeah .. same here :b Imagine seeing any hardstyle music video playing on MTV xD
@ThaSoundWave !! Coone ft. MC Villian - (Songtitel)
more people in the US listen to hardcore & hardstyle than what you think
geweldige muziek ... doe een lied met Headhunterz
Worldtour... maybe finland in list? :D
@inDeepTroub1e This American agrees with you.
lol here it's all about house today and commercial pop shit , and commercial hardstyle lately too
i watched it
Defo i know a few myself
@ZakariJumper just like i sad, we dont need the usa, the countrys who have there own hardstyle producers are the countrys u want for this style,
olny countrys who produce mutch hardstyle today are the true hardstylecountrys we need
btw, u can say what ever u want about lmfao but belive me, they are the masters of commercial profites
@AceionzHardstyle let's hope for the best. :)
it's strange how many hardstyle producers when asked, what are the thoughts of hardstyle in America always seem to truble with their words. and there are also other producers i.e Showtek who have a positive reaction to it. hmm
Hardstyle 4 life
if my music was too loud, my dad would shout. haha i know that:P
Yes,your right,best time for me was 2003-2006
oldschool ftw.well nustyle is good aswell but..its not as good as the old one in my opinion
@inDeepTroub1e I'm American and you my friend are 100% telling the fucking truth! I'm also adding the melbourne shuffle to that list of things we ruined. If hardstyle catches on here, I want it to be for the same reason I love it, and not because it got marketed towards brotards.
sympathieke gozer !
6:04 WTF? In my oppinion Coone is much better than all the other's Villian called right there. I still like to listen to all of their tracks, but i think Coone as ellaborated into Hardstyle and is far higher on the ranklist than producers like HHZ DBSTF and NC.
@imacian86 then they are making a whole other genre ;-)
what does he mean by what happened to happy hardcore?? it still pretty popular..
I'm from germany, but I think, I have to learn dutch, it's not so difficult if you can speak german ;)
@StereorockerzMedia and here XD
Good question - becomes Hardstyle too much commercial? Well, if the producers becomes too soft, softer beats softer kicks, then this can be possibly the start for the chance to get commercial. I don't hope. But this is my opinion...
Alright, nice video. Who watched the whole video? Wait, I know it.. NOBODY!
@Lucirep Hahah jullie hebben alsnog geweldig lekkere frietjes :)
What video is the bit at 17:15 from?
@inDeepTroub1e check and check, europe here i come :)
@Socializerz Well, i have actually no clue what ever you just said. :)
wat betekent coone dan in engelstalige landen?
Coone+Villain+headhunterz+psykopunks+datweekas:) please brazil.
are there a lot of americans who listen to hardstyle?
lol if you were already longer in the scene you would understand it is already getting more and more commercial , the music ain't the same anymore even four-five years ago it sounded way different then it does now , there still are some good releases though , but there just aren't as much.. commercialism is already getting to ruin it slowly IMO lately
mc villain could be my psychotherapist.
i don't really agree what he said about hardstyle becoming not commercial, because they don't see that on stage. when you're in the crowd waiting for the kick and ready to go wild and you're being pushed from every side by non hardstyle followers like the people who only heard of Qlimax and defqon because of it's big name and not about the music, i don't mind newcomers only if you're ready to jump and go wild and party all day and night.
