First, a disclaimer, I was watching your UA-cam on a flight from Atlanta to LAX. I purposely purchased Wi-Fi so I could listen to flosstubes on my way home from a weeklong vacation. I was enjoying a double bloody Mary after a four hour delay in my flight when My giggle fit started with Steph consistently giving Pam a hard time about fabric count and fabric makers. Steph your gestures, eye rolls and whispering info to your mom was priceless!!! I have that same experience with my daughter but it’s usually in regards to my lack of technical skills. Than my giggle fit started to escalate when you both started your banter back and forth in regards to Teresa Korgurt and her Michigan styled mystery sea birds. At that point I laughed out loud and spit my drink out. I needed extra napkins since I think my drink rained a little on the man sitting in front of me. Ladies, ladies, ladies , I really think you need to edit in warnings to your flosstubes. The next sip came out my nose when the white birds were being discussed! I now had had several neighbors and an airline attendant trying to figure out what the crazy lady was gagging and laughing about. When I tried to explain what a Flosstube was they looked mystified and decided to give me a very wide berth!!!! However, the young woman sitting next to me, was quite intrigued, and wanted to hear more! I think I might’ve made a new Stitchie friend!

What a discovery I made today! This is an educational channel! 36 red lighthouses in the US and I have not seen even one! I am now going to have to go down that rabbit hole and find one. Now, I am educated that there ARE red lighthouses. 🤣🤣 Always love the extra comments each of you make to the other. The Balloon project is beautiful and I really like the blue alphabet. "Show the cross stitch and everyone will be happy" cracked me up! You two make my day and I try to catch all your videos. 51 WIP's is totally fine, because everyone does what makes them happy, right?? I was feeling down today as this is the 34th anniversary of the USS Iowa turret explosion where we lost 47 of my husband's shipmates. Your video brought smiles and helped me. All of your projects are beautiful. We do have seagulls in Michigan, and they can be a bit of a challenge. 😂 Steph, your sampler is gorgeous. Have a great week!

Pam, thank you for that explanation about being perfect. Sometimes when I’m Crosstitch and I notice I make a mistake, and it makes me wanna rip everything out. Then I tell myself I’m not perfect, let’s see if I can fudge it. Although my favorite scene in Crosstitch is, “done, is better than perfect”

Great episode ladies! Gotta say, Pam, I love Libby! Recently started listening to audiobooks while stitching and it’s a total game changer! I’ve never been an audiobook listener, I wasn’t really hip to just listening and couldn’t find the right activity to do while listening. Pairing with stitching turned out to be the perfect combo for me, I love it!

Just have to say two of my top reasons for watching you two happened one after the other on this episode. I love when Steph shares her insider industry knowledge about things like shortages, what company makes what. Fascinating. And Pam, don't ever apologize for WIPS! Though I am a monogamous stitcher at the moment, I literally tune in to see what beautiful projects you have chosen, and also to hear what your progress is with WIPGOs and SALS and such. I ❤❤❤ all things Wizard of Oz too! So excited to know about these audios. Especially when I like the full versions. No abridgments for me! It does take away from my flosstube watches but oh I’m so excited to listen and watch you both every week even if they do get delayed! Never an episode behind!! Thank you for telling us about the Jobelan shortage! It is my most favorite fabric and I am soooooo missing the hand-dyed in it. I figured it was a supply issue thing. I certainly hope it turns around soon - I'm about ready to tell them to send me a loom and I'll start weaving lol
I think you two are great. I got a little frazzled when you girls weren't on last Sunday. Then I found on Thursday and the world was made right. Don't change a thing.
Dena also took us on a cruise through the Panama Canal and also to New York City. Lots of fun for us who can't take the trip.
I’m actually laughing out loud (quietly as it’s late and hubby’s in bed) at Steph’s facial expressions when Pam mentions her SALs. It reminded me of my rolling of the eyes (several years ago when I was monogamous) when my sweet friend kept saying “ we need to do a SAL” and I would say “you’re crazy”. Now she’s says “you’re doing another SAL”. Enjoyed another one ladies!
Nicci: Primitive Gatherings located in Larsen, WI is now starting to carry cross stitch patterns and floss. I know they also have a cross stitch club. I think that it's only about a 40-minute drive from you, which isn't bad, but perhaps you'll also meet some stitchers there that live closer.

Hi Nicci. The Primitive Gatherings in Larsen has a monthly Cross Stitch Club and is now expanding their cross stitch section in their store. I attend the Cross Stitch Club and I think that would be pretty close to you. The next meeting is on May 23rd. They are also offering a retreat with La D Da and 2 retreats with Teresa Kogut this year. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Forgive me, I HAD to pause the video!! Michigan does have seagulls... So, so many seagulls. Sometimes it feels like the entire state is underwater. You can't go more than 5 miles without finding some kind of lake, swamp, or pond. And don't even start about humidity in the summer when you have to swim through the air. Waterfowl love it here. Maybe we don't have ocean birds, but seagulls abound. Fun fact, we have more lighthouses than Maine!

I need to listen better. I thought that Steph said that twin peaks pattern will be on sale 23% off for all you lazy people. I realized she said amazing people. lol. I was so excited to see your stitching of seaworthy samplers. I get to go to the retreat next weekend with my favorite designer Teresa Kogut! I was even more excited to hear Pam say that it will be rele 53:23 53:23 ased some day!!! I have wanted this since I first saw it. You guys make me laugh so hard.
Have you seen the Reading Tracker put out by Stitching Cabin? I listen to audiobooks (and flosstube, lol) and thought it would be neat to see how long it takes me to listen to 104 books as well as which genres I listen to more, etc. Some people like to do the temperature charts, which did not interest me, but oh boy, this sure did. I plan to stitch on it almost immediately, but I not marking books until I turn 60 in August. I am so looking forward to this.
My dyslexic brain needs help so here is what I would do gOLD = OLD and Silver = New. Or Silver means gray hair so that = Old. 😅😊

I've been watching flosstubes for a few years and have stitched on Aida and some evenweave fabric. Now it dawns on me when stitchers talk about counts, 32, 36, 38 and 40, they are talking all about linen, correct? Do a lot of stitchers sew on evenweave? I'm just wondering when stitchers talk about these higher numbers,what are they referring to. Thanks so much.

Red light what?? So I leave to go the kitchen to get a drink and I return to ‘… sure, why not, this is an educational channel. There are 36 or 37 red light houses. One of them is in Holland, MI. Yes, that one I knew about.” What kind oh stitch harmony is this? Who are you connecting to red-light houses?!? Closed captioned had split lighthouse into two words. Steph held up a lighthouse and mental dust flurry began to settle. Keep in mind, this is going through my mind faster than it takes me to type this comment. Moral of the story is - bring several drinks and snacks before pushing play because context is everything. 😂😂😂 41:22

Dear Pam and Steph, Flash back to last year - after watching your video introducing Milkshake I went to a nature reserve (I live in South Africa), and came across a sick kitten. I just couldn't bear to leave her behind so she came home with me. We have a wonderful vet but he did warn me we needed to take it day-to-day and that she was probably at least African wild cat. After a few days of very little sleep, I kept thinking that Steph was so smart in adopting an adult cat. Lily is now just over a year old and is thriving - she still likes to pounce on my two adult cats. Cross stitch cannot be left unattended for a minute - she will use it as a scratching pad or steal your threads. So this comes to my question - how do you keep your cats away from your stitching and do you have issues with cat fur getting on your stitching?
Muffin (10) and Milkshake (5) have never shown any interest in our stitching, even left unattended. Neither did Moe. Go figure! 🤷♀️🤷♀️
So Ladies, we have lots of sea birds in Michigan. Not sure you’re aware we have water on three side of our state! Lol! I almost wet my pants!
Dear Ladies: In Michigan, we do have seagulls - or perhaps we should call them lake gulls? At least on the west side of this state that is surrounded by the Great Lakes. However, we do not have seals or seal birds. (Crack me up, you two.)
Pam, help! Last year, you showed stackable storage containers you used for storing DMC floss. I cannot find the video you shared the info in. I purchased a stackable container set but only the top container has dividers in it and they are not of a size to store DMC in the Floss Away bags. I am not interested in having DMC wound on bobbins. If you can tell me the # of the video, I will go from there.

I have a question that im not sure that you can answer. I know steph works at keepsakes so I didnt know if she knew. I know you pick a twin peaks chart each week, a few m9nths ago i ordered at 123 stitch the abe lincoln sampler it came in a nice book last week i ordered founding of america it came in several pages like photo copied blank on the back. Is this the "new norm" for charts now ? I emailed twin peak with no response

No seabirds in Michigan? If so, all the gulls, pelicans, herons, egrets, Cormorants, bitterns and many others are confused about why they are there. Lake Michigan technically isn’t a sea, but the birds don’t care. BTW, there are no such things as seagulls. They are just called gulls and have different designations such as Saline’s gull, Bonaparte’s gull, Ross’ gull and little gull, to name a few that hang out in Michigan.
