Fantastic. Confession: I have never caught a trout on a fly in a lake or dam, only rivers. Was taking copious notes, especially on the retrieve. Thank you!

Just come over to NZ Starlo, catch trout 3 times that size for free and have a holiday at the same time. The hydro canals in the South Island are amazing, 28 lb trout is my best so far.

I agree with your comments of paid fisheries Starlo. Great opportunity for trophy fish if well managed. I fished Twin Lakes last year and had a great time. Wished it could have been longer. I loved watching you fish for those trout … gave me a few ideas for the next time I fish a dam.

Nice! Pond fishing can be fun and rewarding, as shown. Thailand fishing parks, for example, give opportunities to catch many different species, have a nice meal (catered) and spend a relaxing day out with mates. 👍

@@StarloGetsReel I used to "haunt" Pilot 111 Fishing Lake (Bangkok), Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort (Hua Hin) and the old Bungsamran Lake (Bangkok). I haven't been to the new Bungsamran. Greenfield Valley was my favourite.

Well done Starlo on yr biggest Aussie Rainbow I think you said? What a Trout escape and holiday lodge. Almost makes me want to learn the art of fly fishing myself. Just happy at mo that I learnt a basic version of the F.G.knot, which I thought I’d never master, now to put it into action on the local salt species. A Kingfish followed one of my 60mm Daiwa Double Clutches the other day, makes me salivate, to think I was that close to at least hooking my first Kingie. Stay well Starlo!!

so I guessed the rod you were using was that a WF Line? that fishery with the bream fishing in the estuaries plus the squid and whtiing shows tassie is very very attractive
