For our family Christmas eve party I made 3 boards, 1 with mostly cheeses and fruits, 1 with meats, salami, and veg - tomatoes and cucumbers, crackers, pickles, the 3rd one a combo of the cheeses , meats, fruits, jams, olives mustards, honey, crackers. It was a hit, the family loved it, definitely the way to go, also served broccoli/cheese soup and veggi tray. Thank you for all the tips, i enjoy your videos because you go slow and are detailed with your tips and explanations. Best wishes and Happy New Year. 🎉
Thank you for the good ideas. I did see someone use a little shot glass to make some rose petals so maybe it’s not so many pieces of salami to pick up. Great ideas. Thanks so much.!! I’m definitely gonna do a charcuterie board this weekend and I’m gonna do a lot of of the folding things so it’s maybe easier for them to pick up great ideas.!!!!
I just found this ! I never knew these videos existed. Would love to have made one for the holidays. But , that’s not going to stop me . Iove the way you explain things. Tx.
Thank you so much for your kind tutorial ❤very sweet lady! I appreciate it. I’ve dabbled in making my own and hope to make plenty more with more style 🎉
Just came upon your videos today. Wonderful! I'm a Minnesotan in Belgium now. I do charcuterie boards for Christmas and it is SO nice to learn some new techniques from someone back home! Had me laughing out loud a couple times! I liked all the techniques and the mixing of complex and simple looks. I will definitely be utilizing these! Thank you for posting! And Murray is adorable!
I am new to your link…What a wonderful tutorial on Charcuterie!! Thank you so much for sharing and keep them coming!! Truly, just wanted to dive into the board!🧀🍇🥖🫒
I JUST found you this morning looking for ways to fold charcuterie and am so glad. Thank you! And, kismet that you posted a part 2 just now! After this, I'll be on the hunt for how the hell to actually transport my board for Thanksgiving ...
As far as transporting a small charcuterie board after he has been prepared on the board, I have gone to my local grocery store to the bakery department and ask them to buy a rectangle cake container that they showcase the cakes in in the grocery store, the rectangle charcuterie board should fit white inside that Cake plate, which is plastic. You could wrap the board with plastic wrap several times before you put it in the rectangle cake plate and then transported to your destination. Another tip would be put some tape on each end of the plastic cake platter, this is always worked for me. And if you wrap your prepared charcuterie board several times with the plastic wrap, and then put it in the cake platter you can set it in the backseat of the car and even if it turned over the arrangement you made on your board will not be disturbed.
Beautiful cutting board!!! I love the rose. So beautiful! Yet so simple to make. I also love the bouquet the links are great as well actually almost every single thing you’ve shown is just a work of art. Now I want to throw a party so that I can display my new charcuterie skills.
Thank you so much for this fabulous tutorial. I just ran across your UA-cam page so I’ll be going through your other videos. I did subscribe and shared your video.
I was asked to make a charcuterie board by a friend for her husbands bday… first times! I do a lot of cooking / baking so it’s not too far fetched that she would ask me to do a charcuterie board! I’ve been wanting to do one so here’s my opportunity! Did a lot of googling & found you… it made the difference & gave me the confidence to create my own board! Thanks for sharing your tips & techniques!
Thank you. Love learning the different ways to fold the meats. How many people would this board feed as an appetizer. I will be making my first board for Christmas party, 10-12 people
I was wondering the best way to prepare ahead. I'm going to start prepping tonight but should I cover my board with plastic wrap? How soon will it dry out? My faves are the ribbon and the bouquet 😊
Hi! I would recommend using an air tight container if you are going to prep two days in advance. I like to add a little piece of paper towel to my containers of cheese to help with any excess moisture.
Thanks for this informative video. I've got a question. Due to deadly allergies to pepper, & having pepper spices in the meats, I can only turkey, chicken, garlic sausage, ham, or other types of meat that doesn't have any pepper spices in it. Can you please show us one that doesn't have salami, or pepperoni, etc. that has no pepper spices in it. So no black, white, red, cayenne, paprika sage summer and winter savory, & poultry seasoning.
I don't do the salami roses anymore because people can't easily remove just one slice without the rose falling apart. Do you have this problem too? Any solution? The last board I made, I made the salami chain, people seemed to like this style better.😊
To figure out my price, I add up all of my costs and multiply is by 3. Fig & Bleu is not a home based business. I work out of a commercial kitchen which licenses, insurance and certificates are needed where I live. I only make UA-cam videos from my home.
Good ideas, but just to let you know the mini salami, are not to be sliced, they are individual pieces you grab and bite,European style!!! Just for future references!!!
Thank you so much I am learning to do this beautiful dishes . I love cold cuts I know you call it different, but yes it looks elegant and delicious. I am from South American and I love this kind of cuisine I don't know if you called that way but thank again for your teaching 😊🌺🇦🇲
Omg Murray 🫠❤️ This will be my first ever charcuterie board. I'm so excited. I'm taking notes, making my shopping list and bought a beautiful new wood platter Your boards are beautiful and look delicious.
I'm glad you are looking out for food safety but in this video I was only assembling, not serving the board. It was for me and my husband to enjoy. Do you use gloves for every meal you make?
I'll pass, I neverrrrrrrrr everrrrrr touch any charcuterie platter 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮 just plain nasty, you don't know if the person who made it even washed their ✋🏻✋🏻🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

I love big Styrofoam coolers! Thankfully its cold enough where I live, that it'll be safe in the car for awhile.

Excellent tutorial! I find salami roses are beautiful on a board but people don’t want to deal with taking them apart. Enjoyed your presentation.
I agree! I always use them as an option for small, more personal boards. Not so much for big boards.
Perfect xmas planning. Having friends for Xmas drinks. Ty

“This is looking super phallic…” 😳 Thanks for the humor! 😂
Soooo funny!!! We must be careful when arranging food.
Thank you! Cute, cute, cute:)
❤ all of the techniques
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you 🙏
The roses look cool but how do your guests eat the salami all rolled up like that? Is one person going to eat the entire rose?
I typically only do roses on 1 or 2 person boards. Each rose would be enough for one person.
You are so talented. I stink at designing a board but have learned so much. Thank you!
You can do it! No pressure, just have fun with it.
Love the video
Love it!
I am jealous, I want to eat it right now.
Thank you
I always do the rose. love the setting of the meats. Will try
🎉🎉🎉 Happy 3rd bday, Murray!!
Thank you! I love this.
Thank you. Love learning the different ways to fold the meats. How many people would this board feed as an appetizer. I will be making my first board for Christmas party, 10-12 people
I would say about 8-10ish.
Beautiful
You are a wonderful teacher! Gorgeous video.
Can you please tell me Where you got the greenery and what brand is it? Thank you 😊
All of the garnish is from Trader joes. I used rosemary and sage!
I was wondering the best way to prepare ahead. I'm going to start prepping tonight but should I cover my board with plastic wrap? How soon will it dry out?
My faves are the ribbon and the bouquet 😊

Thank you SOOOO very much for a VERY clear and concise video! Absolutely AMAZING, creative and beautiful! Thank you so very much!
Thank you for helping my charcuterie look so cute!!
Thanks for this informative video.

Thanks for the suggestion! I could do something similar
I don't do the salami roses anymore because people can't easily remove just one slice without the rose falling apart. Do you have this problem too? Any solution? The last board I made, I made the salami chain, people seemed to like this style better.😊
Yes, I only make those on 1-2 person boards.
Do you leave the rose display in the 2 inch cup, or do you remove the cup?
Thank you!
I leave it. It will start to fall apart once the meat comes to room temp if there is no cup to hold it together.
How are the pieces picked up without disturbing the other pieces?
It's kind of hard to keep it looking pretty once someone digs in. I would recommend maybe applying a few styles for people to choose from.
Beautiful, thanks for teaching us!
How do the guest get a piece of the rose? It’s all attached?
for any charcuterie board, once someone grabs the first piece it never looks the same! Comes with the territory.
Like a pork garden!!! Deliciosa!!!
Oh yes!
When you make a rose out of lunch meat, how does one break into it without feeling bad or destroying the whole thing?
HAHA I hear that so much! You just have to go for it! Also, maybe offer both the rose (mostly for display) and an easy to grab style!
How do you price your boards? Did you need any licenses for your food home-based biz?
To figure out my price, I add up all of my costs and multiply is by 3. Fig & Bleu is not a home based business. I work out of a commercial kitchen which licenses, insurance and certificates are needed where I live. I only make UA-cam videos from my home.
OMG! Persimmons. Who does that? YOU Fig&Bleu! My first video. I love this. Q: have you ever done a board with pickled okra?
Thanks so much! Yes, I have! I did a southern inspired board before.
Naughty charcuterie 😂
May we have a grazing table video next? 🥹
I get a lot of requests for this. Sounds like I need to do one lol.
Does anyone leave the cheese in wedges, bit cubing, or slicing each cheeses?
People tend to be intimidated when you leave the cheese whole. I always recommend cutting it up.
How do peopleget just one slice out of the rose?I made roses and people just walked away with th entire rose on their plate.
haha yeah. Its definitely more of an item I tend to only use on small boards. But I agree, it's not the most approachable design.
“Super phallic.” 😂😂😂
hahaha you caught that too?!
this looks super phalic*. made me laugh so hard. lol
In the word Napoli the accent is on the first syllable Na poli.
Also its a soft short a like Nah. Nah poli.
So…one person will get all that salami in that rose to eat?
I always recommend only making roses for individual boards. So yes, only one person would get it.
Did she just say what I thought she did at 12:18?! Not what I was expecting to hear, nor wanting to hear!
Gloves, gloves, gloves.
😊👩🏻🦳❤️🎄
No one ever eats the roses, sad.
That does sound sad
🤍🗝️🕊️🌎♾️🤍
Good ideas, but just to let you know the mini salami, are not to be sliced, they are individual pieces you grab and bite,European style!!! Just for future references!!!
Good to know!

@@figbleucharcuterie9916😢 I loved the extra care of slicing the effort pays off
❤❤❤ xx. #@.?@xz

Gloves….
#glovepolice thank you for your service!
You handled the salami over and over again without gloves on and with your rings which I assume have not been sanitized. Yuck!
I'm glad you are looking out for food safety but in this video I was only assembling, not serving the board. It was for me and my husband to enjoy. Do you use gloves for every meal you make?
No thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting even though it's not your thing
I'll pass, I neverrrrrrrrr everrrrrr touch any charcuterie platter 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮 just plain nasty, you don't know if the person who made it even washed their ✋🏻✋🏻🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
That's so interesting that you watched this video then! But thank you anyway for doing so!
How dumb of a comment what do you think goes on. In a restaurant or home dinner? You are a germaphobe
