    Fantastic views of surrounding mountains and agriculture.
    Highly rated schools and excellent an excellent ranking for low crime.

    My parents bought a home in Camarillo in 1965. I grew up there. It holds a cherished spot in my heart. Camarillo is amazing, beautiful, and will always be home.

    We moved here 2019 and chose Camarillo the moment we drove in from T.O. for the first time and saw that breathtaking view you described!! People here are friendly, weather is amazing, and I love our weekly farmer’s market! Also enjoy being surrounded by mountains and close to the beach. We have a great bike path too! Really enjoying your Ventura County videos to learn more about this area we now call home!😁

    Hey guys please help me with ma question. Thanks in advance. How SAFE Is Camarillo from natural disasters (floodings, wildfires, earthquakes) and wildlife (reptiles, bear, shark, coyote)❓ In South Florida and Texas, gotta watch out for gator, shark, croc and other reptiles and hurricanes 👀I mean when it comes to daily living in suburbs and town areas not in outskirts.

    • @livinginventuracounty1071
      @livinginventuracounty1071  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for reaching out to us. Are you thinking of moving here?
      Overall, Camarillo is a moderate risk for flooding and fires. If you live on the hillside you are at less risk of flooding than the homes that are located in a valley. However, if there are fires and then a lot of rain you may be at risk for mud slides. Camarillo has been working very hard to mitigate its risk of fire since the Thomas fire happened in 2017. There is a higher risk for earthquakes. Camarillo is situated on a couple of fault lines. Not all earthquakes are large and some you can not even feel when they happen. However it is a risk to take note of if you decide to move out here.
      As for wildlife, there are coyotes in all of Ventura County and you want to make sure you keep your kitties and small dogs in, especially around dusk and dawn. However, some coyotes have been seen wondering out during the day. There have also been a few bear sightings in Ventura county. Camarillo has not had a bear sighting reported since 2021. There are also mountain lions, bobcats and foxes that may come down into a neighborhood. However, they mostly like to stay up in the hills. As for sharks, there are some sharks that have been spotted in the Ocean near the beach. Usually if there is a sighting then it is posted on the beach. There has only been one shark sighting that has been posted in Ventura in the past year so, to my knowledge, it is not common.
      Please let us know if you have any other questions.

      Those are wonderful reasons to move to either place. We were just wondering because if it was the view we had other places for you to look at also, like Westlake Village or Newbury Park but they do get a little hotter in the summer . Camarillo's climate, view and close vicinity to the beach can't be beat. We would love to help you. If you would like to set up a Zoom call we could answer any other questions you may have. We will be putting out a video about relocating to California later this week and other videos on Camarillo's neighborhoods during the next month or two. Let us know if you would like us to focus in on anything in particular and we will do it:).

    I grew up here in Camarillo. Just to be fair, it doesn't seem quite right to brag about attractions at the Camarillo and to completely ignore the ongoing and increasing noise and pollution problems private jets are causing Camarillo Residents. Jet noise generated by local and non local private jet owners and leasing companies are causing the residents of Camarillo a ton of grief as jets are allowed to land at CMA 24 hours a day, and they do so constantly. If you are thinking about moving to Camarillo you should know there are currently over 12,000 jet and turboprop operations to/from Camarillo Airport annually. This is expected to increase at several thousand a year and is forecast by the VC Dept. of Airports to reach about 50,000 operations annually by 2042. The primary flight pattern is directly over Sants Rosa Valley, Village at the Park, Camarillo Springs and the Old Town Camarillo. Residents of these communities and others regularly have their sleep interrupted by jets at all hours of the night. During the day many residents find it difficult to enjoy their property and their neighborhood because of noise. If you buy a house in the Santa Rosa Valley you will be directly under the flight path of 3 airports, Camarillo, Oxnard and the military jets from Pt. Mugu. Total air operations at CMA are about 185,000 annually. This includes jets, turboprops, small private planes, helicopters, experimental aircraft and others. This does not include jets bound to/from Oxnard airport or Pt. Mugu. The Ventura County Dept. of Airports is currently working with citizen advocacy groups and doing noise studies at CMA and OXR to try to find remedies for these problems, but there is no guarantee that any remedies are available or practical.

    Guys, really we Californians try to keep our gems, a secret you really need to stop talking about all of these wonderful places to live! Go back to Colorado by the way Colorado Springs is a great place to live. Camarillo used to be a real western town too. Its real expensive, always has been. A lot of people in the business live there to have their peace and quiet and trust me they're not gonna want it advertised. You're not gonna be making a lot of friends anytime soon. please stop lol
