Having seen some American programmes, where they repair houses. This is a common problem, Evicted Tennents pour cement / concrete down the Toilet and Drains, as its a nightmare to remove. Ending up in Pipe work replacment.
As the son in question, I can confirm that I would call spiders “dibbers” as a kid 😂

Used to work as maintenance and part of that was unblocking drains, we had this one guy who would start gagging as soon as you lifted a manhole cover, even if there wasn’t anything in it. If there was, we’d play with it and describe the aromas In front of him😂😂😂 good times

cela peut être du débouchant canalisation en perle ! quand on en met trop cela forme un bouchon dure comme de la pierre si il est directement en contact avec de l'eau . J'ai eu le cas dans un siphon et j'ai du changer le tout . Même avec un foret et une foreuse ,je ne rentrais pas dedans . Une vraie saloperie et pourtant vendue dans le commerce. Vos tenue sont top. This reminds me of my old job, I worked at a nightclub. Huge 4 story listed building, cast iron guttering, you get the picture.
Was an external terrace on the third floor, with guttering to catch the water run off obviously, I was forever removing redbull cans, drinking glasses, pretty much anything you can imagine 😂😂😂

They might have had some roof work done where they used bags of cement and lots of mess and the rain washed the powdered cement down the gutters, which had a clog at that time and the cement solidified inside the gutter at the site of clog that it couldn’t get though.
Planning on going fishing? Live bait works best in some cases. So how did the stack get filled with concrete? Was someone renovating the second floor of the building?

Could you not just unscrew the pipe cover? Easier to work around and easy to put back after. Certainly quicker than cutting holes in it

I'm just trying to help but guys it would have been easier to cut down one side of the grey cover at the edge and bend the silver cover back to get to the pipe instead of doing it out of reach then it would not made soo much mess

Probaby contracted roofing work by less than ideal contractor. Sh*tty workers dumped it into drain instead of removing it by hand or hoist. I used to work for a very reputable roofing co.
Our guys would not do this. We would encounter it often though even on our own customers' properties because we are in a city with row houses.

Loving the new uniforms, jem decided to treat you all, what a gentleman, as for the soil stack, what in the world of drains was that, at first it looked like a solid stack of wipes just wedged in there but from the footage it looked like someone poured cement in it and if that's the case then they should be ashamed whoever done it like why, such a dumb move, overall you did an awesome job trying too unblock it, props to both of ya 👍
